"What is it with you and books?"

"You did not just ask me that Seaweed Brain." I can't believe he would be so dense as to ask me why I liked books. I'm a freaking daughter of Athena! Of course I like books!

"I was only asking because you have about fifteen library books just sitting on your desk. How do you read all of those before they become overdue?" Percy seemed mystified by my reading skills.

"Well, unlike some people I know, *cough*you*cough*, I actually enjoy reading."

"But-" I cut him off with a light kiss.

"Do you still have questions?" I asked him.

"Well, if I get a kiss every time I ask you one, I don't think I'll ever run out of questions!" He stated, as if it were the obvious answer.

"Nope. I am finishing my book, whether you like it or not." I had just gotten to the final action scene in the story I was reading, and I really wanted to find out what happened next.

"But Annaaabethhh." He said, drawing out my name in a very whiny voice.

"I told you no. That is my final answer. If you hadn't interrupted, maybe I would've finished my book by now." I only had about fifteen more pages, but with my dyslexia, it could take me a little while to read.

"Fine." He was quiet for about five minutes before he started getting antsy. I felt a pair of arms snake themselves around my waist, then felt a head resting on my shoulder.

"Don't mind me. Just watching my pretty girlfriend read her book." Percy was trying to sound innocent. I was not letting him get away with that.

"Seriously? You can't stay still for ten whole minutes?"

"I thought five had been enough. Maybe even too much."

I turned around in his arms and looked into his eyes. Big mistake.

"Oh fine." I said, giving up. I put my book down on my table that was now behind me. "I guess five minutes was enough."

"Well, that's good, because this time, I wasn't going to take no for an answer." He grinned and leaned down to kiss me.

"You are such a dork." I said with a slight smile. I kissed him back and I left my book completely forgotten.
