Heya everyone. I'm so sorry about making you guys wait so long for an update but I hope everyone will believe it was worth it. I fixed the grammatical and spelling mistakes that were brought to my attention and the additional few that I found. I switched, edited, and deleted some of the information I introduced either too soon or just incorrectly. I have changed a few of the cannon scenes from the Naruto series but those changes will be explained so I don't confuse any one. I do not own Naruto or the characters but I do hope everyone will enjoy Princess Sakura.
There was a gentle breeze that rustled the branches above my head as we stood there in the training grounds numbered as '7' that had been assigned for team Kakashi. Kakashi and I had been training for an upcoming mission that we were assigned. We were assigned to leave by the end of the week. I was dressed like I usually did a red undershirt under my red zip-up vest, black spandex shorts, my light pink skirt like apron, my black open toes boots and my black gloves. Kakashi was wearing his usual outfit as well. A dark blue, nearly black, mid-forearm length shirt and pants with a green cargo vest over his shirt, and around his right thigh he had bandaging with a weapon pouch over top of the wrap and he was wearing his mask which covered his left eye.
We were conducting our weekly training session as always. It began with a standoff for several seconds but then we lunged at one another after pulling out a kunai each. As we clashed the recoil sent us flying backwards. As I landed on the ground I pushed a small amount of chakra into my feet and bent my knees so that I ended up jumping into the cover of the trees behind me. The thick leaves covered me from view and cloaked my chakra so Kakashi could not sense me. Kakashi had followed me and disappeared into the trees, but he did not see me as he did because I continued to jump further into the trees. With my chakra still silenced I created a web within a good mile or so around me to locate my teacher. He was a good 20 or so yards behind me and was on branches below me. I stopped and gave myself enough time to set up a quick trap. When I sensed he had jumped up to my level I looked back, faking a limp, and summoned a clone to help me run from him. Just as he landed on the branch I was at I had stopped and pivoted to the left, towards the tree's trunk, and allowed the paper bomb covered kunai to fly past me and land in a tree a safe distance from me. I then grinned at him as he stood frozen on the branch. With a snap of my fingers I severed my own chakra string that was holding back the log and pointed at the direction opposite of the large flying log which brought confusion to his features which was quickly replaced with pain as the large piece of wood rammed into his back. But my happiness at my seeming success was short lived as Kakashi disappeared into a puff of smoke revealing a short, barely even 2-foot-high, log.
'I could have sworn we had him caught with that one' Inner huffed as I looked around to see if I could spot Kakashi as he now had his chakra hidden from my senses.
'How could you believe he'd be caught by that. He may be going easy on us, using the paper bombs, But –'
"Shit!" I mumbled.
"SA-KU-RA" Kakashi said in a sing song voice in my ear causing me to spin around with a chakra infused fist and forearm aimed for his face. "You know better than to let your guard down in a battle. Even if it is between friends or teammates." He said as he flickered from the path of my arm to the other side of me trying for my back. I knew he'd do that so I used the force of my arm to swing my body around to aim not only another chakra fist but also a delayed chakra strengthened kick as my foot swung for his knee. He wasn't expecting the foot so it collided and shattered his knee. As he groaned from the pain I released ropes of chakra from my fingers and had them bind him where he sat. He struggled momentarily but stopped as the ropes got tighter and tighter.
Since he was unable to escape I grinned big time. Not a Naruto like grin. "I take this as a win for me. Since I won does that now make me the teacher?" I asked half-jokingly. "Sakura-Sensei… Now that has a ring to it." I laughed.
"Congratulations. Now…" He winced in pain, "Can you release me? If you heal me to I'll even show you a new move." Over the past few years as we all started giving up on Sasuke Kakashi had begun to teach me new moves and train me as he had done with Sasuke. There weren't that many jutsus Kakashi knew that he had yet to teach me. I let the ropes dissipate into the air and knelt beside him, green chakra enveloped my hands as I set them above his knee, and healed his injuries. He'd be a little sore for a few hours but he'd be right as rain by the time our mission departure arrives. It'd take a couple minutes to heal so I'd use it to my advantage.
"So, what's the lucky move to be taught to me this time?" I asked as I continued to heal his knee. Kakashi's mask shifted slightly as he opened his mouth to speak then he closed his mouth. I gave him a no nonsense look to tell him he will regret it if he didn't tell me. I'd probably just stop healing any injuries of his for the next month. That is my most favorite and most effect threat against him. I saw a strange look in his eye for a moment but it was then replaced with confusion then he shook his head. "So…"
"As you know the Kumai is limited to the Uchiha clan's Kekkei Genkai Sharingan-"
"The Kumai?!" I asked excitedly. Lately, I had only wanted was challenge myself and discover new things. To have a fulfilling life. I noticed on my 17th birthday that my life was seemingly uneventful compared to those around me. Tenten and Neji were secretly dating, Naruto and Hinata were engaged, Shikamaru and Temari were dating openly, Ino and Sai… Well we know they are something they just won't make up their minds because they are off and on, but me on the other hand… alone… I have my scrolls, job at the hospital, mostly solo missions besides the occasional mission with Kakashi and Sai. Sai would not be on this mission with us because unfortunately it was only a two-man job one of which must be female because it's a seduction mission. Kakashi was only their because our Hokage is uncomfortable with me going alone on this kind of mission.
"Yes Sakura. The Kumai follow me and I'll show you where I will show you." He led me further into the trees till we were nearly to the edge of the training grounds when we were in a nearly in a clearing except for the tree in the egg-shaped field. "Think you can handle the tree we could use a … table." He added. Once again, I summoned my chakra to the tip of my index finger and swung it so that the rope swung around the trunk and wrapped around the rope itself. As the chakra tightened quickly, it cut the tree causing it to fall away from us.
"Is this good enough?" I asked as I slipped my finger into the choker I had around my neck. It was my training one so it wasn't flashy. It was a plain black ribbon that had small sapphire blue lace ribbons lining the edges that tied it securely in the back of my neck. The hair on my neck then stood up as I felt eyes on the back of my neck. I looked at Kakashi and he nodded at me. "We have company it seems.
"Come on out we have already sensed you. There's no point in hiding anymore." Kakashi called out as we turned to look at who was hiding amongst the trees.
"I knew your sensory abilities were sensitive but I would have thought it would have taken longer for you to notice me. A male stepped out from the trees and walked towards us.
