Bella's smile wavers as she takes in the larger agent's words.

"M-murder?" She stammers.

"I know this is very difficult to hear, but we suspect the note he left on the victim's body was addressed to you." Morgan says, his sincere eyes trying to maintain contact with Bella's darting ones.

As he speaks, Bella's eyes quickly look to her bedroom door – something that doesn't go unnoticed by the two sharp agents (one of whom seems to be watching her more intently than the other). Bella's lips part and close a few times, as internal struggle takes place in her mind.

What if I tell them and he finds out somehow? I know he could. But they could help…they could stop him…

It's too dangerous, you know what he can do.

"I'm really sorry, but I-I can't help you. I don't know anything." She says, fear evident in her eyes.

"Are you sure?" Morgan presses.

Moments of silence pass before she speaks again.

"My morning lecture starts quite soon. I need to leave, if that's okay?" She stands, holding her trembling hands behind her back.

Morgan pauses, before nodding and standing up as well. Reid following him, quiet but watchful.

"Alright, ma'am. Well, if you change your mind, or remember anything – here's my card." His eyes narrow as he passes the card into her telltale hand.

She swallows, looking down at the details on the card, then nods.

"Thank you, I'll show you out." She quietly speaks.

"We remember the way, don't worry. Thank you for your time."

As they make their way to the door, leaving and closing it behind them, the rapid beats of Bella's heart become too intense to ignore.

It's not too late, do something!

She hurries into her bedroom, leaning against the door as she breathes heavily.

Do something, now, please!

She stares at the white paper and its dreadfully neat writing, where it lays on her pillow. The longer she stands there, the more she feels his oily grip surround her.

This is your chance!

She grabs the unread note and rushes out of her bedroom to leave the front, hoping, praying, that she can still catch up.
