A/N: So here it is! My newest Ice Age work! I really wanted it to be a chapter story, but a drabble was the best I could do these days. I'm sorry, I just have thirteen other stories to work on, and I don't have time to take on another! I mean, unless...wait, no, no, no, no. I canNOT start a new story!

Gah! It's just so hard to discipline myself! Also, Diego says in this drabble the "younger brother he never had". Just so you all know, this isn't set in the 'I've Been Broken' world, where Diego had Zeke...in case anybody read that.

Diego was a hard-hearted saber…or at least he was supposed to be.

Personally, Sid believed that the moment the chance arose, Diego would send him off to a pack of bloodthirsty carnivores and never look back.

Of course, Manny might fight him on it, but no, he annoyed Manny as much as he did Diego; just which would be the first to suggest it?

What he didn't know was that this supposedly 'hard-hearted saber' wasn't so hard-hearted anymore.

As a matter of fact, Diego had risked his life on more than one occasion, to save somebody else's.

And Sid – Sid was a special case…

Because though Diego didn't want to admit it, Sid was a bit like the younger brother he'd never had.

Diego didn't know how Sid viewed him, but he thought of the sloth as a younger brother and he kind of hoped Sid saw him as an older one.

Diego was fiercely protective of this "younger brother"…he just didn't want him to know that.
