Sorry for the time that has passed since last updating life has been busy

chapter 10 has been changed, the ending so go back and re-read that :)

"Come in" I smiled as I pushed open the door to the restaurant, locking it behind him

"are you hungry, I could make us food ?" I whispered and headed to the kitchen but from the way his hand gripped my hips and turned me in knew food was not on Kivar's mind.

His lips where against mine before I could speak and he had lifted me to sit on the counter top, I felt his hands on my body and the heat that blazed across my skin, his breath against my neck as his lips created a a path of kisses down to my collar bone

"most beautiful" he whispered to himself and I was lost in the hunger in his voice, I lifted his face to gaze into his eyes, I craved him and wanted nothing more than to devour him here but it was not the time

"Kivar, I love you" I smiled and kissed him

"I will never tire of hearing those words from you my love" he whispered as I kissed his jaw line

his hands creped slower up my hips onto my waist and I knew if I did not stop things would go passed the line I could turn back, I took his hand sin mine and smiled

"I do not wish for the the first time I give myself to you to be in the kitchen of my parents restaurant, I want romance and something that shows how much I desire you" I whispered

"I crave you but I crave more than your body my love" he smiled and took a step back

"would you like something to eat ?" I smiled, when he nodded I headed over to the grill and heated it up

"how about fries and a burger ?" he looked a little lost

"you will love it" I smiled and prepared our food, Kivar sat in silence just watching me cook , every now and again he would catch my eye and smile giving me a wink

I asked him to go upstairs and set the table for us and I would bring the food with me, I listened to him wondering around the house upstairs and one the food was done I went to join him, as I walked into the room I gasped, he had placed candles around the room and a red cloth covered the table, I placed the food down smiling and we sat down to eat.

Our meal was wonderful we talked as we ate and once we where done Kivar took our empty plates down to the kitchen and I walked to my room hoping to get things packed, I looked at my clock 11.40, we had been away from Ava and Zan for over 2 hours now, I grabbed my phone and called Ava hoping she had not left yet

"hello" I winded Ava answered

"Ava, I'm sorry I forgot to call" I whispered hoping she believed me

"oh... sorry I forgot, I've been kinda … busy" she muttered I could hear Zan's laughter in the background

"oh, its ok we will be heading back in an hour of two so you have time, enjoy yourself" I laughed and hung up listening to her laughter, Kivar walked into the room with a smile on his face

"I assume our brother and sister are having a pleasant reunion" he laughed, I nodded and walked to my closet grabbing a large hold all throwing it onto the bed.

I wondered around my room grabbing things we would need, toiletries etc then heading into my parents room I walked over to the chest against the far wall and opened to revel clothes that my father had become tired of, all still in perfect condition he was more of a female then my mother and did not like wearing clothes over and over preferring to buy new.

I grabbed a pile of jeans, shirts, jumpers, jackets and shoes and walked back into my room to see Kivar had lay back on my bed and fallen asleep he looked to peaceful so I creped around being as quiet as possible as I continued to pack. Once finished I grabbed the bag off the bed and lay it outside my room door, I turned and pulled the cover over Kivar wanting him to rest, I am sure he has not slept since coming to Earth. I Kissed his lips and headed down stairs to begin packing food we would need, I knew we could not stay in the shack for very long it was fine for Ava and myself as we shared a bed when there but 2 couples living there was going to be cramped so we would have to start looking for somewhere else to live, then the problem with Max and the others came to mind it was going to come to a blow out sooner or later and to be perfectly honest I hoped it was sooner so that it was over with, they needed to understand things had changed and they needed to accept that because we were not going anywhere.

I packed as much food as I could without leaving my parents short on supplies when they returned and left it on the counter top for when we left. I grabbed ice cream from the freezer and walked into the dinning area taking a seat, as I sat here eating I began thinking that even thought my life had change in some huge ways I was happier now, I mean Alex was not here so there would always be that part of my life missing but having Ava and Zan in my life was like the family I always wanted, sibling I had always wanted brothers and sisters but my parents where happy with just me, then there was Kivar, I had believed Max to be my soul mate the man I was destined to be with for eternity, but I had been wrong, so very wrong he had not grown up he was still a boy that believed he was king, he acted like he wanted a human life and just wanted to be happy and yet every act he did was defined by his belief he was a king.

Kivar was a king yet he wanted nothing more than a life with me and our brother and sister, he was happy and loved me more than possible, he was my soul, my love and I wanted everything with this man, a home, children if that were possible and eventually I wanted to feel safe like we didn't have to look over our shoulder for the rest of our lives.

I had been lost in my thoughts I had not heard someone enter the restaurant and walk closer to me

"we need to talk" Max's voice muttered in the silence around me, I lifted my head surprised and yet not really I knew it was coming I just didn't know when

"take a seat" I muttered, he sat in silence just watching me and soon I was irritated at his silence

"you wanted to talk Max so talk" I snapped and he looked taken back

"you've changed" he seemed sad

"I've grown up" I whispered feeling shy all of a sudden, Max always had a power to make me feel like a small child being scolded for something they had done wrong

"you know what we need to talk about, the girl you were with" he took a deep breath

"who is she and why is she here, we need to know if she is a threat that needs to be dealt with" he tried to make that sound intimidating but a laugh burst from me

"you could not deal with Ava if you tried, she is not threat to you unless you are to her and her family"

"who is her family Liz ?" he growled

"I am, she is my sister and I will protect her from you all"

"she is an alien, a copy of Tess" he muttered and I got angry Ava was no copy of Tess

"no, she is a clown of the queen of Antar, she is nothing like Tess" I growled and he saw the anger in my face

"is she controlling you ? Is that why you have turned from your friends, turned from me"

"you all turned your back on me Max, even Maria left me for you" I took a deep breath and sighed "Ava was there for me when no one else was, she gave me a friend and a home when I felt like I didn't have either she has done more for me in a short time then any of you have ever done"

"if she is no threat why have you kept her hidden, are you planning something ?"

"Max she is no threat all she wants is to live her life on earth with her family, she does not want a thing from you she is my family and she is staying and I will warn you if you try to harm her we will protect ourselves from you"

"what are you meant to do Liz your human and if she really is no threat then she will meet us with out any humans there, she will need to discuss some things"

"like what ?"

"like joining us and helping to keep our secret" he was serious that I could tell from his face, he truly believed Ava would join them

"she will never join you but she had no desire to put you all in danger just leave us alone Max and we will so the same"

"we can not do that Liz, its our job to protect you, my job to protect you" his hand creped closer to mine over the table and I knew his game, he had no intention of being with me or anything like that he simply wanted to keep me close and figured that was the best way to do so, keep me dangling after him

"that is where you are wrong boy" Kivar's voice carried through the restaurant and Max stood up quickly to face him, I stood and walked over to Kivar and his hand instantly went to my cheek and he smiled down at me

"hello" he whispered and I stood as his side

"you have no right being her boy" Kivar muttered and his gaze returned to Max

"Kivar" Max growled and he looked around, I assume for a way to defend himself

"do not worry, you are in no danger as long as you stay away from Liz and my family"

"why are you here ? To kill us ?" Kivar's laughter was loud and bold, it was sexy as hell

"no boy your lives mean nothing to me, I am here for my love and my sister and brother"

Max finally looked at our joined hands and his eyes snapped to me

"he's a killer, a monster" he growled

"no he's my soul" he smiled up at Kivar and I knew it was a mistake, Max had lifted his hand out to attack us and without thinking I raised mine throwing my shield up to protect Kivar

Max stumbled back surprised and a think a little afraid, I walked closer to him never lowering my shield or leaving Kivar's hand

"things are different now Max, you and your family need to accept this or things are not going to end well, leave us alone and we will do the same" I muttered

"leave boy" Kivar growled and I knew he was tired of this night, Max scrambled backwards and cast us one last glance before leaving the restaurant

"my love, you should not have faced him alone" he whispered his hand resting on my check

"I am not afraid of them, you were resting you needed it" I smiled and took his hand, I told him to wait whilst I ran back to my room and grabbed the bag I had packed, when I returned to him he had closed down the restaurant and grabbed the food and was waiting by the door

"are you ready to return to our family ?" he smiled and held his hand out for mine

taking his hand we headed out, I locked up and climbed into the car

before setting off I quickly text Ava letting her know we were returning, giving her time to make herself presentable and finish up their reunion

coming home now

one last look at the restaurant and Kivar's hand in mine we headed home, tonight had been long and hard and I was ready to relax with him and hopefully get some sleep tonight.
