Hey guys I am so so so sorry I forgot to update. I had this chapter done for over a week now, but I forgot to upload it. I started on another story (SesshomaruxInuyasha paring) which if you like that kind I recommend you read it. It is a long one shot that I worked really hard on! Anyway Normally I don't start another story till I click the story complete button on my other story. Well I remember and here is the last chapter I really hope you enjoy!

It was 6am. The day Al said that Ed is supposed to be coming back and Roy is a nervous wreck. 'What if he doesn't show up? What if I don't see him in time? What if he resigns? Al told me to stop calling but what if his train is delayed? Ah! Why the hell am I so damn nervous?' Roy was pacing back and forth. He called in saying he was sick. Although Hawkeye knew he was lying about being sick, she knew the real reason and was okay with him skipping as long as he made up with Edward.

5 hours till Edward's train was supposed to arrive… 5 hours for Roy to make his plan successful… 5 hours for him to get everything set up. He bought a book on how to make get your girlfriend to forgive you in 8 steps when you make a mistake. Although Ed wasn't a girl Roy thought it had to be the same thing.

He finally decided to sit down and read the book.

'Okay step one, Take some time apart… hell we already did that. Sweet I'm already a head of the game. Step two, Focus on what you want… I already know what I want dammit! I want Edward! Hell yeah I am on a roll.
Step three, Understand why she left you… Well that's easy Edward found out about the bet. If he wouldn't have, we still would be together.

Step four, Reach out and contact her…. Okay well that is what I am going to be doing today in about 5 hours.

Step five, Get together and keep it casual… What do they mean keep it casual? Guess I will have to read more into this one. The first time you see her post-breakup can be pretty overwhelming, but remember to keep your cool. Whether it's been two weeks or two years, you want to keep it casual. Always meet up with her during the day for lunch or coffee, like you're meeting a friend. Anything grand will appear needy and like you're trying too hard to impress her. This will make her think that you're not sexually interested in her. Make sure to still keep it light, flirty and fun. You want to show her the guy she fell in love with, not the guy she broke up with. Hmm maybe I can just invite him over and I can make him his favorite meal, what was it again… ah yes stew. That is what I will make today for lunch. I can't be that hard to make.

Step six, Keep having casual meet-ups… I don't have time to keeping having causal meet-ups dammit. He's leaving again soon! Guess I will just skip this part and just work on the others.

Step seven, Go for it… now that sounds like my type of step. After several casual meet-ups, if you still feel that you want to get back together, you can tell her what you've learned from your weeks apart. Well shit never mind. Okay that should be easy enough. Now what is the last step?

Step eight, Do the work… After all the happy make-up sex and the getting-back-together glory haze is over, it's time to really step up and start working on the relationship. Things you acknowledged while you were apart are now things you actually have to work on. You want to be sure that getting back together lasts for longer than a night, so show her that you're willing to be a better you by changing your ways. This time around, you need good communication and lot of a patience. If you have these things, I promise you that this time the relationship will last. Aright this should be easy. After all this I will officially have Edward in my arms! Now how do I make stew?

Roy went to the store and asked the people how to make stew. He realized he was dead wrong on it being easy. 'Ugh why does he like the hardest thing to make dammit?' Still Roy was determined to make this the best night ever for Edward so he was going to make this stew. On his way home from the store he saw a ferris wheel in the distance and had an idea for later tonight, if he can convince Edward to spend today with him.

He made it back home with four hours to spare and got to work. Making the stew took most of his time by now he had about a little over an hour to get to the train station. He did a few extra things, turned off the stove leaving the stew to sit until he got back and then ran outside to his car and drove to the train station.

He got there with thirty minutes to spare. He went and asked if the train from Resembool had arrived, but and the man said no and that it would be on time. It would also stop at platform 3.

Roy went to platform 3 and waited. 30 minutes go by and the train finally pulls up. Roy dressed in all casual clothes stands up and waits for Edward exits the train. A smile not leaving his face. After 5 minutes of people leaving the train, Roy felt his smile faltering. He was getting nervous because Edward would normally be in the front where military sits and he hadn't come out yet. People stopped getting out of the train and there was still no Edward.

Roy was about to give up home when he heard the train man tell someone that he arrived at his stop. Next thing Roy knew was that he was staring into the eyes of a very shocked and semi-pissed off Edward.

"Hey Edwa-" Roy didn't even have the chance to finish his hello. As soon as Ed realized what was going on he walked away as quickly as he could without making a scene. Roy didn't care about making a scene. So as soon as he saw Ed take off, he ran up to him. "Edward wait please! Let me take you home."

"Why should I? Did you make another bet?"

"No I didn't Edward. Please listen to me. I really am sorry! Just please hear me out."

Edward stopped walking and turned around to face him. He gave him a look, which basically said hurry up.

"Listen it started off as a bet, but it didn't end as one."

"Oh really. That is the cheesiest line I have ever heard. Did you get that off of the radio?"

"You are right it was very cheesy, but I am telling you that I really am sorry. Please give me a chance to prove to you that I am sorry. After today I swear, that if you still hate me and still never want to see me again I will personally sign your resignation papers for you."

"How did you know I was going to resign?"

"It doesn't matter does it? I promise that I will personally sign them…" Edward was still looking at Roy like he was thinking about the outcome and Roy was getting nervous that it wasn't going to be in his favor so he added, "I made stew."

"Alphonse huh?"

"Yes…"

"Should have known… fine I will give you one chance."

"Thank you I promise you won't regret it. Come on lets go." Roy tried to take Edwards hand, but as soon as he grabbed it, Edward pulled his hand away. Roy didn't try to take Edward's hand again, and they walked to the car in silence. 'This is not going how I planned. We were supposed to be talking dammit.' "Uh so nice weather we are having huh?"

"Seriously you are going to talk about the weather?"

"Your right. Sorry."

They got into the car and Roy drove to his house. The ride there was mainly in complete silence. Every time Roy asked Edward a question. Ed would give a monotone answer. When they finally got to Roy's house, Edward walked in and noticed the smell of firstly a clean house and then the smell of stew and the stew smelled good.

"So the stew should be done shortly I made it this morning so now I just have to reheat it up. You can go sit on the couch if you want."

"Kay." Edward walked over to the couch and sat down waiting for Roy to get back from the kitchen. He looked over on the coffee table and saw a small book, he picked it up and looked at the cover. Edward's eyes could not have gotten any bigger. 'How to get you ex-girlfriend back really Mustang?' Edward heard Roy coming back and so he hid the book.

"Okay so I turned it on. It should be done within 20 minutes."

"Okay."

It was getting really awkward by now. Roy got up left the room for a quick second and came back with something in his hands. He really wanted to do this later in the night, but he decided to get rid of the awkward silence. "Here I got you something." Ed looked up curious. In Roy's hands looked like a present.

"What is it?"

"Just something I had and I thought you might like."

"What is it?"

"Just open it. It is a present, hence the wrapping paper."

"Fine." Edward took the present and opened it. After he got all the paper off he looked down and saw a book. It wasn't just any book. No this was a rare Alchemy book from his favorite author. There was only 5 books in existence. "Where did you find this?"

"Don't worry about it, it was no big deal."

"How did you know I liked him?"

"Well when I went to your house I saw his books on your book self and noticed that you didn't have this one."

"You know of him?"

"Of course I have read all of his books. He writes a lot about fire alchemy."

"Isn't that the truth? Thanks so much for the book. You have no idea how much I have been looking for this one book."

"Don't mention it. Well I think lunch is done. We might as well go to the kitchen and eat."

"Okay."

They went to the kitchen and Roy got two bowls of stew and sat at the table across from Ed. Edward took a bite of the stew and was instantly amazed. This stew was almost as good as his mother.

"Mustang this is amazing. I didn't know you could cook."

Roy was a little down that Ed was back to calling him Mustang, but also semi-pleased that Edward was talking to him again.

"Eh it was no big deal. To tell you the truth, this is my first time ever making stew."

"Really?"

"Yup Alphonse told me your favorite meal was stew, so I wanted to make something special for you."

Ed turned his head to hide his blush. He was still mad at Roy, but he couldn't help but be happy that Roy was trying this hard for him. "Thanks. I could eat stew every day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner."

"Well if there is any left and you want you can have some for dinner."

"Okay sounds good. What are we going to do till then?"

Roy couldn't help but be excited from the fact that Edward said 'we'. "Well the Central fair is here so I was thinking if you want we could go there."

"Really cool. Sounds like fun." After they ate Roy did the dishes and then they went to the fair.

It was a work day so the fair wasn't all that crowded. There was some lines, but they weren't too long. They went on many rides including the Ferris wheel. Ate caramel covered apple, and funnel cake. They played many games. They even won a fish. While at the park, girls kept coming up to Roy and what surprised Ed the most was the fact that Roy didn't even give them the time of the day. It really impressed him It was getting late at night and Roy wanted to go on one more ride before they went back to his house. He tried to take Edwards hand again and was very excited when Edward didn't pull away again.

Roy took Edward to the back of the park up to the swan boats. He looked over to Edward to ask if it was okay for them to ride it. Ed nodded and started to walk to the boats. The ride attendant looked at them funny when they came up, but didn't question it. They both got on the boat and went for a ride.

It was silent at first, but this time it was Edward that broke the silence. "You know I really did have a good time today."

Roy was looking ahead toward the sunset and nodded. "Yeah me too. Honestly I haven't been to the fair sense before the war. I came here the day before I left. Ever sense then I never wanted to come back, but I am really glad I did."

Edward was shocked to say the least that Roy told him about that. Normally Roy wouldn't talk about anything to do with the war. It made Edward pleased that Roy would confine in him enough to talk about it. Edward looked into Roy's eyes and noticed that they had some sorrow into them, so he reached over and placed his hand onto Roy's and gave it a slight squeeze. Roy smiled a squeezed Ed's back.

They got out of the boat and headed home. When they got more stew they placed the fish into a bowl and ate more stew. After they had the stew and cleaned the dishes, Roy took out desert and brought it to the living room where they ate and talked. It was fun to say the least. The got so into talking about random things they lost track of time. Before they noticed, it was already 1 am.

"Oh wow time flies. If you want I can take you home" Roy said with a yawn.

Ed bit his lip and thought for a moment. "You know I really am tired and I can tell you are too. If you don't mind can I just stay here?"

"Uh yeah no problem. I can go get the guest bed ready and-"

"Roy I am too tired to wait for you to make the guest bed."

"Oh well uh if you want I can-"

"Oh shut up! I am trying to say let us sleep in the same bed you idiot."

Roy's eyes got big. "Oh right sure. I don't mind. I just thought that you know… yeah."

"Listen I might not be ready to have a sexual relationship with you right now, but I don't mind starting off slow. I mean if you don't mind."

"No I don't mind at all. I really do like that. It makes me so happy you are forgiving me."

"You are right I do forgive you. However I still don't fully trust you. You really hurt me."

"Would it help if I told you that I had planned on telling them I lost the bet, but Havoc apparently had someone watching me the whole time?"

"Wait you mean you were going to lie and say you lost the bet?"

"Yeah I didn't want them to know our private time together. It was very special to me. I never cared about sex until I had it with you. Normally it was just for my own pleasure but with you it was different."

Ed was blushing but felt a lot better knowing what he knew now. He actually felt guilty for thinking so badly of Roy. "I am sorry I didn't let you explain earlier."

"Don't apologize Edward. Really it was my fault. I should have never made that bet with Havoc. Though I am kind of glad I did."

"How come?"

"Well before the bet I never had an excuse to hang out with you and get to know the real you."

"Yeah I agree. I used to think you were a lazy, old, man slut, but that changed."

"I am not old!"

"You are compared to be, but I don't care."

"I am glad you don't. Well are you ready to go to bed?"

"Yeah let's go." With that Ed took Roy's hand and they went to up to bed. They got dressed and crawled under the covers. Roy put his arm around Edward's waist and gave him a kiss on the forehead. "Goodnight Edward."

"Goodnight Roy." A few minutes later, curiosity got the better of Ed. "Hey Roy?"

"Huh."

"What was the How to get your ex-girlfriend back book about?"

Roy's eyes shot open with the look of horror running across his eyes. "Shit."
