PLEASE DO READ THIS, IT'S IMPORTANT!

Hello! I'm back! Finally!

Gosh, i'm soooooo sorry guys! i should have updated at least on december yet i didn't i'm sooooo sorry! If you noticed i updated other stories on Jun last year and i planned to update everything on december as well as then i d would be free! Yet i didn't and im really sorry!

You see, in the end i entered uni and started my first year in med school but i can assure it was no piece of cake! Anyway, on the second semester i had anatomy and it was horrible! I almost made it but i failed the subject. I didn't manage to get the grade i needed on the finals (which were fairly close to christmas) and then the teacher agreed to give a bunch of us a second exam (as it was done on years before) and it was a massacre! it was practicaly made so the few of us that had the chance to make it had no way of passing it!

There were 7 questions (we were 7 student that had the chance to repeat the exam) Anyway, the best score was the only boy who had two good answers out of the seven questions, the second best score was me with one correct answer out of seven and the other 5 girls that were with us had 0 score! it wasn't that we did't answer! it was that we didn't have enough time to answer the whole question (parts of the body parts they had which names are really long or through which pass a lot of nerves and stuff) and if you had one little word or nerve or whatever missing, then the whole answer was wrong!

This test was the day before Christmas Eve's day, so you can understand that by then i had had to study and afterwards i was can of sad to put it in a way. I was really bummed about it and i felt really shitty cause failing the subject means one year step back for us, our career lasts 7 years, now i'll be a doctor on 8, which means money and stuff so yeah, i was soooo close!

But anyway, i'm good now! I actually feel kind of silly now to have felt so down but well. So of course i had NO inspiration! but then i felt better (i reaaaaaallyyyyyy needed the time off) and i've been writing for a few days in order to update all my stories more or less at the same time! (plus i've been making arts and craffs so there's that)

So yeah, sorry to bore you with it and it's not like it's an excuse but i just wanted to explain why it happened :/

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a really nice new year! Let's hope that whatever happens we'll be able to come out of it stronger! Standing up after falling down is up to us alone but we'll always have each other (fanfic lovers! :B heh) for support!

With this chapter (sorry if it isn't too long) i also wanted to tell you guys something important. Now i know exactly how tough each and every year will be for me (academic wise) and it's not fair for me to tell you i'll update without being able to keep my word! I can't promise you i'll update during the year (as happend the last one! I didn't update at all during the whole year 2015!) So..

As of now, this story is officially ON HIATUS, i'm really sorry and believe when i say i never thought i'd say it, but hear me out. This story will officially on hiatus UNTIL either one of the following two things happens: I finish the story And who you were or i really get the inspiration enough to update a new chapter. I can't promise you i'll update on december cause i might not, like it just happened, so yeah.

I will TRY to update on december of this year but only if i can. In the meanwhile i will focus on updating And who you were , also according to chances i get to do so (inspirations, time, study, etc). So yeah, i hope you all have a wonderful year!

If you ever need to rant to a stranger i'm here! You can PM me and i'd love to help (even if i might not read said PM right away) As you know, i only answer reviews through chapters, so if you have any thoughts or such that you wanna tell me them PM me :)

Again i'm really sorry guys, but PLEASE do NOT think i'm leaving this story for good

i still got lots of ideas, request that some of you have sent that i've yet to write (you can send more by the way, i'll let you know if i don't feel like writing them due to the nature of this fic- meaning it fits with the arcs or isn't too terrible-i don't really like writing things too dark for personal reasons, and if i take too long to write them is because i haven't the inspiration and i rather wait for it to come than writing something shitty for you)

And of course, i've still to keep the seasonals arc going! Dont you ever think i ve forgotten about that! I ve got everything planned i just need to finish Jack's memories first :)

Thank you guys for being there for this story and for me! In the meantime we'll all see each other in And who you were!

Well, anyway, here we go, i hope you like it!

It was already noon, they were a good distance away from the kingdom and the wind was on their favor. Jack decided it was time to have a talk. Actually, it was Jamie's decision but let's not dwell on that.

"So…" Jamie began.

"Yeah, yeah…" Jack smirked "Gather everyone"

Jamie did as told and the Captain got out of the room to inform his 'men' of what had truly happened in The Towers the day before. Outside, the crew was waiting for him.

They all sat on a circle, their Captain included, waiting to hear what had happened on their last stop.

"Well, kids" he started with a smirk and they all snorted at the knick name he had assigned his crew. As if he wasn't a kid a well. Hah. "The Towers might have been a kind of station for the start of this trip, but we didn't leave empty handed. First" he said while taking his hat off "This, is Baby Tooth"

And a tiny fairy (one like many they had seen before flying around the world) showed herself from under the pirate's hat.

They all awed at her before sending questioning looks to their captain.

"Lady Toothiana asked one of her most trusted fairies to accompany us in case we were to need a hand" he smiled at Baby Tooth who smiled back and waved at the crew before doing a little vow.

"Cool!" one of them: Monty, in charge of navigation, said.

"What did she tell you about the map?" Jamie asked after waving to the fairy.

"Well, that's the other thing…" the Captain said before pulling a sort of strap hanging around his neck from under his shirt "She gave me this"

The crew gazed expectantly at the little blue stone hanging from a black strap.

"What is it?" The twins asked in unison.

"This is a Memory Stone." He explained "The Queen said that is to store memories while wearing them, but she told me that she had also made it so that it already has some memories inside. Memories of how to get to the different places we must visit!" and they all cheered at Jack's happy tone.

"Okay, but, what happened? Claude told us you were alone with her, what did she tell you?" Pippa, one of the ship's best fighters, asked. He sometimes forgot to refer to his crew as 'men and women' instead of 'men', be it because the girls were not with him in that exact moment (like with the Kangaroo, heh.) or because it was simply shorter to say. But don't let it ever be said that the sea is a place for men only, for the ocean is a lady who takes great offense in the rumblings of stubborn men who don't know any better!

"Well" Frostbite started "Of course, I had to tell her everything. But don't worry!" he hurried to assure as some gasps escaped from his audience "We can trust her" he said carefully "Besides, I had to in order to receive her help"

"Anyway" he continued "this stone will be as good as a compass. We only have to carry on with what the map says. She told me each stop will reveal something we need in order to get to the stones. She said she was the first Stone Keeper, there will be more along the way. Actually, in every sto-"

"Captain!" someone suddenly cried. All the kids stood up in less than a second to run to their different posts, ready for any potential attack.

"What is it?" Jamie cried as he and Jack ran towards Monty, who was pointing to the sea under their noses.

"Look! I think someone's out there" he said. All those nearby followed his gaze only to see some kind of lump resting on a broken piece of wood.

"Is that…?" Pippa asked with fear in her voice.

"That's someone down there!" Caleb cried.

"Are they alive?" asked Claude.

"Hurry! Let's get them on board!" Jack commanded while grabbing some rope.

Cupcake and Jamie grabbed one end of the rope and called others to help them as Jack, holding onto the other end, started to descend through the side of his ship towards the floating wood.

As he made his way down he came closer to the figure slumped over the… was that a door?

He hung from the rope with his feet barely touching the water for a while as it began to freeze. Once ready he let go of the rope, able to stand on the frozen water around him and making his way towards the person.

It was a girl.

"Jack! You there?" Jamie called.

"Yeah! I'm with her!" he called back.

"It's a girl?" Cupcake asked as she and a few others held the rope.

"Hey, lady? You okay?" He approached. There was some kind of cloak covering the girl, whose long hair fell over the wood of the broken door. He took the cloak away so he could wrap the rope and around her and gasped once he took a glimpse of her back.

It was a mermaid.

"Jack?" Jamie called again.

"I'm on it! We'll need some buckets of water, though!"

"What did he said?" Jack heard Pippa asking Monty.

"Why would we need that? What's wrong?" Jamie stuck his head over the side of the ship.

"We've got a water lover" Jack sighed while gesturing towards the girl's back, where grey scales could be seen along with a small fin.

…

The mermaid woke up as soon as she was placed on the floor, the kids surrounding her curiously, trying to make sure whether they were in front of friend or foe.

"Who are you?" Daniel asked with severity only to be answered with wide, confused eyes.

"Don't worry" Jack interrupted "I know her"

"You do?" another boy asked.

"Yeah" he answered before kneeling next to the girl. She had long white hair with purple and grey scales covering her body. Her eyes were a dark yellow color and her skin was white, almost bluish, her lips the same. She had gills on both sides of her neck and both sides of her stomach "Hey, you okay?"

"… Jack?" she suddenly asked. The boy in question smiled gently back. "Jack!" she hugged him "Thank the Currents! I thought they had got me again!"

"Got you? What are you talking about?" he asked worriedly.

"Are they the reason you were lost?" Pippa asked.

"Wait, who is she again?" Claude asked, getting elbowed by Cupcake in return.

"Let her explain what happened to her first" Jamie reasoned.

"I'm sorry" she said, letting go of Jack before turning to the crew "I'm Abyss. I was trying to get to the Southern Rocks, but- Oh, Jack I'm so glad I ran into you!"

"Wait, why would you want to reach the Southern Rocks of all places?" Jack asked while supporting her "If you were ever in danger then you would have to head to the-"

"No" she interrupted him "that's the point, Jack! It's not safe there anymore…"

"What?" he drew back.

"Wait, are we talking about…" Jamie began with fear.

"Yes" the creature stated with dread "They've taken the Gates."
