Chapter 40: The End

A/N:Honestly I know this story could have been better. The ending and last couple of fights could have been longer. I started this years ago and there have been long enough periods where i didn't write at all. I know that I CAN do better, by adding more details and using what I learned through writing this story. To me though this is an achievement because it was the first time that I forced myself through when I lost my inspiration and finished a story. I want to think the people who stuck through to the end and will try to make sure my future stories are better written.

Naruto Uzumaki-Inuzuka sighed as he touched his eyes. Once upon a time the blonde would have refused to have them healed and it was deemed impossible, but everything had changed now. Kurama had worked with Tsunade to heal his eyes and when asked why the blonde changed his mind by his mate and husband Naruto's answer was a grand total of eighteen words. "I am pregnant Kiba. When our first born comes into this world I want... need to see him."

Kiba had grinned like a loon for a week at that. The memory of his mate's grin made Naruto chuckle as a three year-old girl with red hair and purple eyes ran into the room. "MAMA! The babies are coming?"

Naruto turned towards the little girl and shook his head. "Not yet Kira sweetie." He said as he laid his hand on his swollen belly. After taking some time to focus on recovering and his daughter Naruto and Kiba were ready for more children and this time he ended up pregnant with twin boys. Kiba was hoping that they weren't identical and panicked that he would never be able to tell them apart and be a horrible father.

Naruto found the panic a little cute and also found his daughter's excitement over the twins' upcoming birth endearing. Kiba was in the room a moment later chasing after his daughter. "Kira you know your mother needs to rest. Go play with your toys in the living room."

The little girl pouted before running out of the room to play in the living room. Naruto turned to Kiba after she did. "Remind me why she started calling me mother again?"

Kiba shrugged. "I am pretty sure Konohamaru got that started as a prank. What were you in here for though Naru?"

Naruto looked out the window towards the Hokage Monument that had a carving of Konohamaru now. "Just thinking of how much everything changed." Then he touched his belly. "How much they are still changing."

Kiba nodded his head in understanding. A few years ago they were worrying about the Akatsuki and their plan for world domination. Itachi's actions had far reaching consequences though. He killed the true leader of the Akatsuki and Pain had no idea what to do with the Bijuu. A fight then broke out between Rain and Sound over something that was still unknown and both Pain and Orochimaru were found dead. It had seemed like Pain killed Orochimaru and then died.

Kakuzu and Konan disappeared after that. Then came a form of cold war. Iwa found out about Naruto being the Yondaime's son... A fact that the Tsuchikage had known making him rather unpopular. There were threats and war seemed to be looming. It was during this time that Naruto had fallen pregnant and was nervous as war seemed imminent until Deidara took over as Tsuchikage. Threats were made from the blonde that Naruto had bonded with during one of his chunin exams towards the Iwa Council and talk of war disappeared.

Deidara and Gaara had gotten together then to discuss a peace treaty. Konoha was invited in after the talks went well and then Mist joined as well as they were still recovering from a civil war. With four of the great nations in Kumo joined the alliance too. Since then Konohamaru had taken over as Hokage and Naruto had given birth to a beautiful little girl that would become the heiress of the Uzumaki Clan.

His twin sons would likely one day have to fight for the title of Inuzuka Heir unless one of them conceded the title to the other. A kiss to the back of his neck had Naruto raising an eyebrow at Kiba."I love you Naru."

Naruto smiled in response as he rubbed his stomach. "I think that there is plenty of evidence that I feel the same." The blonde muttered before he was up and rushing off as his babies decided to kick his bladder. At least that was what it felt like for the blonde. Kiba shook his head and went to the kitchen to make Naruto a bowl of Ramen with ice cream and peanut butter.

Naruto seeing the meal when he came from the bathroom couldn't have been happier. He remembered screaming a lot about his cravings that Kiba had thought was gross during his first pregnancy, but the brunette had gotten used to it and was so happy to be having more children that he didn't really care that it brought around cravings and mood swings.

Some months later would see two slitted blue-eyed boys with brown hair being born to the two mates. As Naruto was sitting in the hospital room he held both his newborn sons. He closed his eyes and thought of what the future would bring. Naruto wanted to have at least one more child and was hoping that in a year or so when both Hinata and Sakura were ready for their seconds they could all be pregnant together.

He could see his second daughter being fought over by Sasuke and Sakura's second child but first son and Haku and Hinata's second son. He could see them on the same genin team with Sasuke as their teacher. The Uchiha would keep them all safe and Naruto would visit the team often with his older daughter and twins. He could see the fights that would ensue if his children got jealous of each other, but he would always make sure that they made up and loved each other at the end of the day.

He could see the day that his youngest took the Hokage hat from Gaara outpacing her older siblings and surprising him by marrying Kurama. He saw her becoming a half demon to spend eternity with the demon and the two spent the rest of their lives watching over the Inuzuka and Uzumaki clans that would stay close as a result.

So many years later his immortal daughter and the man he once thought of as a father would be sitting next to him while he slowly got weaker. He couldn't help but smile at them. "It is odd still seeing you two together. I remember Kurama leaving to sort out the other Bijuu when you were a newborn. He came back to see you as a beautiful young woman. I might have found it odd at first but Mira I am so glad you have someone who will treat you like you deserve for the rest of your long long life." Those would be Naruto's last words to his youngest child.

Opening his eyes Naruto touched his sons' heads. "Whatever actually happens with any of you. Just know I love you."
