Hi everyone! I decided to redo the first chapter, because after looking at it, I decided I could (hopefully) do better!

Disclaimer: I do not own any characters except for any OC's that may end up appearing, and the plot. Everything else belongs to Kathy Reich's.

Full Summary: Okay, so I decided to make one of these because no one else made one! *Gasp!* So... Here's one! After finding a book about them, Tory and the gang have decided it's time to tell their parents about their 'powers'. After all, they deserve an explanation after everything that has happened! But then they all get trapped in Bolton Prep, forced to read about their powers. Here goes nothing...

Book Summary

I sighed. Did I really want to do this? Who know what could happen to us. Experiments, getting taken away, something else probably just as horrible. I was beginning to regret this, maybe we shouldn't. Secrets were called secrets for a reason after all, but the books must have appeared for a reason right? I mean, it's probably best if only we knew, right? Anyways, I'm getting ahead of myself. Let's go back a few days, when we first found the books...

...

Ben, Shelton, Hi, and myself were walking to the Bunker. (And of course, Coop was there!) As we began to enter the Bunker Hi tripped over something. That 'something' was a small stack of books. Three to be exact.

"What the..." Hi muttered, picking himself off the floor.

Ben knelt down and picked up the books.

"Virals, Seizure, and Code," he read.

'Weird', I thought. 'Who put those there? No one else knows of this Bunker... At least, not that we know of.'

Shelton snatched the book called "Virals". His eyes skimmed over the summary of the book, his eyes slowly widening.

"Hey guys... These, books, I think – I think they're about us!" Shelton sort of stammered out.

I managed a peek at the summary on the pack. Yikes. Creepy. Very creepy. It seemed to be about how we got our... Powers, if you can call them that. There was a note sticking out of the first book, about the size of a sticky note.Pulling it out I quickly began to read out loud.

"Dear Virals,

You need not know my name, but you may consider myself as a friend to you. I created these books for you to read to everyone in a few days time, just head to the Bolton Prep gymnasium. That way they get their explanation, but you don't need to think of one for them yourself. The first book, Virals, is about how you got your powers. Seizure is about Anne Bonnie's treasure, and Code is about a mad man and a geocache hunt. Use them wisely,

-Tempest"

...

And so, here we are now. Heading to Bolton Prep to face whatever may happen. I didn't know how this person would get everyone there, but at this point I couldn't care, too many other thoughts were grabbing my attention. I would be there in a few minutes, then the show goes on...

Short While Later, After Finding the School Completely Unlocked

I stared nervously around the gym, the Pack and I were the only ones here. So much for reading it to everyone?

"A trap?" Shelton.

"With our luck, probably," Hi groaned.

"Just be quiet," Tory murmered. "Whether it's a trap or not, something should happen soon."

CRACK

The sharp noise startled them, but they immediately noticed that everyone they knew or interacted with was was lots of noise as people talked to each other, confused as to how they suddenly got here. Soon it turned into panic as people realized all the doors were locked, held closed by an unseen force.

Tory noticed her father and Whitney pushing their way to them, Cooper tortting along happily next to them, and the rest of the Packs parents making their way over too.

"Tory! What's going on?" That was her dad, trying to stay calm as Whitney freaked out.

"We can explain," Tory said, waving the note around.

"We should get everyone quiet, only explain it to everyone once," Ben suggested.

"Explain what?" Hi's parents asked.

"You'll see," Hi replied.

I glanced back at the gang, and they nodded encouragingly. Okay... Taking a deep breath, I shouted " QUIET!"

Naturally, no one listened.

" QUIET!"

Even I was startled, but it was Ben and Hi shouting together, it seemed to have worked though, as everyone started quieting themselves, curious to hear what we had to say.

"ALRIGHT!" I began, making sure everyone can hear me. "You're probably wondering why you were brought here. To tell the truth? I'm not 100% either. BUT. A few days ago, my friends and I found this note, explaining that we would all be brought here to read the books. The books are about us, and from the looks of it we can't leave until they're done."

Laughter broke out. They don't believe me.

Gritting my teeth, I snarled out, "LISTEN TO ME! Do you think I'm joking?! What do you think is holding us in here? How did you all magically get here? How is it so hard to believe this?"

This quieted people again as what I said sunk in.

"But who would want to read about you?" Ew, Madison.

I glared at her. Resisting the urge to do something that I actually highly doubt I would regret later, I continued. I had later discovered there was a back to the note, asking to be read aloud when everyone was in the gym.

"The note says,

Madison, just be quiet. Everyone, you'll be supplied with food and drinks, but you must finish the books to leave. Best Wishes,

-TO

All settled?"

A few murmurs of agreement. "Alright! I'll start by reading the summary on the back cover and inside, then Hi can read the Prologue."

"What? Why me?" I hear from somewhere to my right.

Something incredible had happened to our bodies. Something new to the world, I feared. Whatever we'd contracted had warped us. In our brains? Our DNA? I didn't know. But I knew that we were transformed. Twisted to the core. VIRAL.

Whispers started around me, wondering what the back cover summary was talking about. I smiled a bit, they would know shortly. A quick glance told me that some people (like the Tripod), weren't really listening, while others (like my dad) were hanging off of every word.

Adventure has always been in fourteen-year-old Tory Brennan's blood. After all, she is the niece of world-famous forensic anthropologist Temperance Brennan. So when she moves to middle of nowhere Morris Island, South Carolina, to live with a marine biologist dad she's never known, Tory does the best she can to adjust to her new life.

There she meets a group of local kids who are just as 'Sci-Phile' as she is- science geeks who've grown up exploring the backwoods marsh-lands of nearby Loggerhead Island. But there's something strange going on at Loggerhead Research Institute . . . maybe even something deadly. After rescuing a stray wolfdog pup from a top secret lab, Tory and her friends are exposed to a rare strain of canine parvovirus, changing them- their DNA- forever.

Now, with newly heightened senses and canine-quick reflexes, they'll have to solve a cold-case murder that's suddenly become very hot . . . that is, if they can stay alive long enough to catch the killer's scent.

Fortunately, they are now more than friends.

They are a pack.

They are VIRALS."

No one uttered a word. I didn't know if that was a good sign, or a bad one. But I was kind of glad. I really didn't feel like answering questions, most of which would probably be answered shortly anyways.

"Hi, you're next," I hissed softly to him, passing him the book.

Hi flipped to the prologue, and cleared his throat.

"Okay, the prologue..."

Okay, so there's the first chapter redone. I hope this is a bit better! I'll write the next chapter within the next few days.
