Clara was falling. She never seemed to reach the bottom. Sometimes she saw things, people, places, other times, the darkness. It wasn't the darkness of a winters night, this was the darkness where people vanished, the absolute end. Another face crashed into her mind, a young woman, blonde hair and brown eyes. She looked into Clara's eyes before fading away, just as the ones before her had done. Clara could hear nothing except the screaming in her ears. She was back in the darkness now as she fell further. Alone. The screaming got louder now, surrounding Clara, like a blanket. Smothering her. Then another face appeared, however this one was different. It wasn't a face of the past. It was The Doctor, looking down at her as he held her tight. It was only then that she realised that she had been the one who was screaming. she broke it off as she woke up, starting to shiver and sob into The Doctor's shoulder. He had his arms round her still, not saying a word, just sitting there and rocking her back and forth gently. "I'm-" Clara got no further with her sentence as another wave of crying washed over her. "It's ok Clara, you're safe. I'k safe. It's ok." The Doctor didn't ask what the dreams had been about, he knew full well they were about her other lifetimes, the thousands of times that she had lived and died to save him. Clara lifted her face from his shoulder and looked at him through wide, red-rimmed eyes. She sniffed "I'm sorry Doctor. I'm fine."
The Doctor smiled sadly down at his Impossible girl. She was alive and safe, but she was far from ok, this was the 6th nightmare in as many days. Every night brought a new wave of memories as her past lives floated through her mind. "Don't be sorry Clara, you saved me, oh, so many times, and I more ways than just my life, Victorian London, you saved my soul. Don't he sorry for that."

"No, I'm sorry for this, for doing this every night, for making you come and get me."

"Don't-"

"I'm not worth you, you have so much more to do then I do. You're is so much more importan-" The Doctor put his finger to her lips, silencing her.

"Don't you dare say that. Don't you dare say that ever." Clara looked deep into his eyes before dropping her gaze to his shoulder. He gently raised her chin. "Sleep now Clara. Sleep." She smiled lightly before asking"Will you stay?"He nodded.

"I'll stay with you as long as you like." She smiled again and closed her eyes. The Doctor stayed sat on her bed, gently he kissed her forehead. His Clara, his Impossible Girl. Then he did something he hadn't done in so long. He started to sing, not in English, but in Gallefreyian. He sang to Clara, about Gallefrey, about the mountians and the trees. He sang about the fields, and forests. Clara listened as she drifted to sleep. There would be no more nightmares tonight. Her Doctor was here, and he was never leaving her.
