A/N: This was supposed to be out yesterday. Oh well. Here it is!

I woke up screaming.

Mum rushed in, tying her bathrobe, with Dad right behind, beating his sonic screwdriver against his palm.

"Shh, Amelia," Mum held me like I was still a little child, rocking me back and forth. "It was just a dream, sweetie, just a dream."

I hid my face in the crook between her neck and her shoulder. "Mummy," I whispered hoarsely. "I- I can't remember what it was."

"That's alright. Maybe it'll come back to you later."

I pulled away. "No, you don't understand! Every dream, every nightmare I've ever had, I ALWAYS remembered."

Dad pointed his screwdriver at my forehead. He then held it to his ear, and frowned. "Nothing seems to be wrong, but I'll check the TARDIS's database, see if she knows anything."

"And I'll...is it okay if I stay here?"

"Sure Mum," I muttered sleepily. "Just...stay..." I yawned, and curled up against my mother.

"Land her right now!"

"I can't just land her, River, we're in the middle of the Time Vortex!"

"Then get out!"

"River, no, what are you doing?!"

"Landing."

"Why?!"

"It's Christmas, sweetie, time for us to be a family."

Dad mumbled something too low for me to hear.

"No, we cannot just stay in the TARDIS! Park her on the lawn."

"I can't just park the TARDIS on the lawn!"

"Fine, she can be in the living room. But this is for you, me, and Amy to be a family."

I heard the sound of machinery groaning, and thought of a car with brakes on, while someone's trying to drive.

"Put off the brakes!" Mum yelled.

By that point, I figured it would be better if I just got up right then. I yawned loudly, shuffling out of my room. "Mornin' Mum." I said loudly. Mum blew me a kiss from across the console room, while all I got was a 'look' from Dad. "Good morning," he muttered, pushing monitor screens away. "Christmas morning, year two thousand twelve. Little blue house in the middle if the street."

"Um...thanks, I guess."

"Yeah. No problem." He wouldn't meet my eyes. He sat next to me on the staircase, twiddling with his thumbs. "Sorry," he said, wiping away a tear. "Haven't celebrated Christmas in a while. Maybe a hundred years or so."

"No way. You spent a hundred years out and about?" I smiled. "Don't look it."

"And you don't look a day over twenty-five."

"Hey!" I laughed. "I'm only fifteen."

"You look so grown up." Dad muttered. "You were all alone in that house for fifteen years, weren't you?"

I made a face. "Stormcage, for the most part. Never actually met Mum until I was about six, I think."

"What do you remember about Stormcage?"

I frowned. "There was a freak accident when I was three. My caretakers only mentioned it to me a few times, so I don't exactly remember. Um...apparently there was mild chemical explosion near the room I was staying in, and everyone close to it died."

"But you survived."

"Still don't know how. But they said that I was...different...after the explosion. I looked like a ten-year-old, they said. Less skinny, and my wasn't red anymore."

"Was there any gold dust or smoke or anything?" He demanded, grabbing my shoulders tightly. I winced. "Dunno. I was only three."

He stood up, running his hands through his floppy brown hair. "Come with me, Pond. I'm going to need to run a full body diagnostic."

"What?" I sat on the steps still, speechless. "What's going on?"

"Amelia Pond, over here now!"

"No!" I shouted. "Not until you tell me what the bloody hell is going on!"

Dad walked to me slowly. He reached out and cradled my head between his hands. "I'm sorry," he whispered, wiping a tear from my cheek. "Amelia Pond," he kissed my forehead. "My Amelia Pond." I hugged him, pressing my face into his tweed jacket. "What's wrong with me, Daddy?" I cried. He put his chin on the top of my head. "Nothing, Amy..."

"Don't lie to me," I mumbled. "Don't you dare lie, Daddy."

He sighed. "Your mum will kill me."

"She'll kill anyone who messes with me."

"I think you might be a full Timelord."

Wow. Okay, I can't say anything, as I wrote that. But still, we uncovered a little bit of the mystery called Amelia Melody Pond. Nice, yes?

And how about that Christmas Special, eh?! Review and tell me what you thought was the highlight if the show!
