The soles of leather boots beat a steady, muffled rhythm in the back of Sho's mind as he took measured steps through the winding marble corridors of the television studio. There was the usual hum of chatter around him but he paid it no mind, still deep in his thoughts since early this morning.

He was angry. Angry that the tiny-faced, plain Kyouko had become that good at acting that her childhood friend didn't even recognise her. So good that her childhood friend had been hypnotised by her every footstep. So good at it that it made him grind his teeth. He let out a shallow sigh, unnoticed by those around him. He guessed it wasn't all too predictable that she would be good at this, after all she was the hardest worker he knew. A small smile curled onto his face as he thought back to the shooting of his MV for Prisoner, remembering the teared eyes of the angel that pushed him, the demon, to his death. Was the symbolism there some kind of wry joke? Was he, Fuwa Sho the demon and Kyouko the angel in their own story. Would she eventually push him to his own fall? The rockstar scoffed at his own romanticist train of thought. No, he was the protagonist in his own story, there would be know angel nor a fall in his tale. Although there was a goblin, an ugly nemesis that kept dogging at his heels, clawing the back of his throat like bile after a night of heavy drinking. Tsuruga Ren.

That disgustingly long-legged actor managed to get his hands on Kyouko. He remembered the cocky way he saw the actors arm draped over Kyoto's small leather clad frame whilst they were parading around a studio in fancy dress. What the hell was that even all about? Cain and Setsuka Heel? Nobody else on the set seemed to know who they were. Why would Ren not want his name on the promotional poster? Why would he not want his colleges to know who he was.

In puzzlement he thought back again to their encounter. He had never seen such terrifying cold fury in a pair of eyes before. He had honestly thought that the bastard was going to kill him back then It's hard to believe it was the sparkly perfect Ren. There was no way that was acting on the tsuruga bastard's part. Was he really that protective of Kyouko?

That thought got Sho's hackles up right away, as if a thousand spiders had just crawled down his arms. So Tsuruga likes Kyouko, huh.

Again his mind flicked back to the impromptu meeting with is old friend. A cold stone plummeted to the back of his stomach when he remembered Kyouko's expression as that monster grabbed the front of his shirt. The big round amber orbs had squinted slightly, a slight layer of moisture filling over the irises. He had never known a pair of eyes express so much worry and hurt. He was sure if the actor hadn't let go of him a tiny crystalline tear would have rolled down a rounded cheek. The stone in his stomach seemed to be turning to lead. He'd seen that expression on her face a hundred times before, and he'd never once been able to soothe her.

There was one thing he hated more in the world than that Tsuruga bastard, and that was seeing his Kyouko cry.

A bump to the shoulder brought him out of his reverie. He looked forwards into a pair of brown eyes framed by thick rimmed glasses. His face looked familiar, he was in his mid to late twenties with blondish parted hair, he would be fairly handsome if not for the glare he gave Sho. Who mumbled an apology, seemingly still in his dazed state. The man in front looked at him like he'd grown three heads.

"Yashiro, wait a second." A voice came from the dressing room just behind. Long legs strode out of the room, to catch up with his manager. Sho cursed his luck. He'd just bumped into Tsuruga Ren's manager. By now Sho's own manager and the man called Yashiro were exchanging pleasantries. Although the words and smiles seemed pleasant enough to the untrained eye Sho knew the radiant smiles were icy cold in intention. He looked up and to his annoyance he saw a pair of dark blue eyes looking down on him.

"Fuwa Sho." The dark haired actor said in a stiff greeting, barely nodding his head. Was the guy trying to be civil? He was a little taken aback. Of course, the guy had his sparkly image to maintain, no one could ever see the demon from yesterday in public. This thought made the rockstars veins throb in anger. The fake in front of him had no right to be near Kyouko.

"Tsuruga Ren. Could I have a word with you?"

Ren's eyebrows twitched up slightly in surprise as Sho marched past him into the empty dressing room the actor had just exited. He followed the blonde through the heavy wooden door.

"This better be quick, unlike some I do have a tight schedule." Ren said impatiently leaning against the dresser.

Sho studied the man before him. He opened his mouth to speak but then flapped it shut again when he saw the anger simmering behind the dark eyes narrowing on his annoyingly handsome features. Sho set his best cocky smirk in place.

'Look Tsuruga, I have no idea why you and Kyouko were playing fancy dress yesterday, I won't mention it or ask why. If you have time to play games with little girls like Kyouko your schedule is obviously more slack than you say. But ..." The smirk slid from his face and he pulled his shoulders back nearing his height to that of Ren's. "Don't make Kyouko cry."

It seemed to take a few seconds for what the rockstar had said for it to click into place. A flash of realisation swept across the actor's features. He spluttered out a sarcastic chuckle in response. He pushed a stray dark hair away from his and looked right at Sho. If the younger man had thought the actor was angry before he thought he was positively fuming now. He could feel the dark waves of anger practically rolling off the mans body. It took everything Sho had not to step back. And in a quiet but firm voice he heard Ren say;

"I hear you've had your fair share of making Mogami-san cry. Don't you worry, I have no intention of making my kouhai cry."

Sho openly snorted at the actors response. Kouhai? Who did that Tsuruga bastard think he was kidding?

"Well, as she's just your kouhai I'll let you know; I'm not going to stop until every waking thought in that little head of hers is of me. It shouldn't be too difficult. Soon she might even forget her doting senpai's name."

And with that Sho turned on his heel and strode towards the door, a smug smile firmly etched onto his features. He couldn't seen Ren's expression but he didn't need to because the whole room seemed stuffy with the actors fury. He stepped out onto the corridor the smirk still in place, he glanced at his worried looking manager and continued down the corridor. He silently cursed Kyouko in the back of his mind. Because of her he'd just declared war with Japan's number 1, Tsuruga Ren.

A/N : You know, Sho is a git, but he's not the villain he seems to get portrayed as all the time. Maybe I'll give him some redeeming features in this. What do you think his plan is? It seems everyone is plotting around our main two lovebirds. Thank you for all the lovely reviews. The next chapter will be up soon ^^
