Chapter 05: Temptation

Author's Note: Long story short, I was on a very long hiatus due to school and work and was completely unable to work on any of my writing. I'm very sorry. School is on a break now so I have some time to work on this now.

It was just after dinner and the sun had gone down just a short while ago. Yuuki finished clearing the kitchen of the soiled dishes when there was a hard knock on the front door. Yuuki took off her apron, folded it, then placed it on the white kitchen counter as she left the kitchen to the door. Just as she got to the door the visitor started knocking again but Yuuki interrupted him. Aidou stood in front og her with a broken look on his face.

"Aidou-senpai, what's wrong?" he didn't respond. Aidou grabbed Yuuki's arm and pulled her outside and closed the door behind her.

"Follow me." He ordered her and Yuuki nodded. The blond turned and started walking at a brisk pace that Yuuki had a hard time keeping up with. After a short walk, Aidou stepped off the main path into a dense group of trees. Yuuki followed him and once Aidou stopped walking, so did she.

"Why?" He asked quietly. Yuuki's mind quickly traveled to the possible reason why Aidou was acting this way; Kaname must have just left. Aidou always had an unhealthy admiration for Kaname. Yuuki could only imagine how much he could be hurting.

"I'm sorry." Her words came out more timid than the comforting she was hoping for, "That he's gone." Aidou flinched at her words and turned to face her. His face looked even more heartbroken than before. He took a few steps towards her and Yuuki began to feel nervous.

"Can I be weak for a second?" he asked Yuuki sincerely, she nodded 'yes' and Aidou immediately back Yuuki into the tree behind her and put both hands around her to rest on the tree.

"Aidou-senpai…" Yuuki was at a loss for words.

"Do you know why?" his voice almost craked and the pain was obvious on his face. "Do you know why Kuran-sama left?" Yuuki frowned.

"No, Aidou-senpai. He wouldn't tell me. He just said he was leaving for a while." She paused, "What did he say to you?" She tried to think of what to say and that was the only thing that came to mind. Aidou's arms dropped to Yuuki's sides and he moved his hands around her waist. He pulled her in for a hug and rested his chin on her head. Yuuki tensed.

"You said I could be weak," Aidou reminded her and Yuuki relaxed in his arms. "He told me to take care of things and to take care of you." Aidou shifted his head and nestled it in the nape of Yuuki's neck and inhaled her scent. Yuuki slowly moved her hands from her sides and gently touched Aidou's back then wrapped her arms around his body. Yuuki was comforting him in an intimate ay, she had only ever comforted Zero like this before.

"He didn't say where he was going and when to expect him back." Yuuki instinctively moved her hand to the back of Aidou's hair. She ran her fingers through his hair; it was just as soft as it looked.

"I'm sorry Aidou-senpai, but it will be okay, Kaname-senpai will be back soon. Don't worry." He tightened her arms around her.

Yuuki stretched her arms over her head and let out a sigh; the movie had gone on longer than she expected but it was nice to have a girls night out with Yori for once. It had been a month since Kaname left and that had taken a toll on Aidou. Since he has been gone Aidou never left Yuuki's side and his constant presence was starting to bother Yuuki. She never had any privacy and Aidou always teased her to entertain himself. So she finally got him to leave her alone for a few hours so she could go out with Yori to see a movie.

"You and Idol-senpai have been seeing each other a lot recently, are you two dating?" Yori asked. Yuuki turned red instantly and denied it.

"No, Yori-chan! Aidou-senpai just has a lot of free time recently so we have been hanging out a lot." Yuuki tried to clear up the misunderstanding.

"So you have no feelings what-so-ever?" Yori asked playfully.

"It's not that I like him like that." Yuuki started without thinking. Between being a prefect, taking care of Zero, school work, Kaname's absence, and Aidou's constant presence, Yuuki couldn't make sure of anything with her feelings. It was all a jumbled up mess. "I've gotten use to him and when he isn't around, I definitely notice." Yuuki stopped as she sensed someone staring at her. With a quick glance, she saw that no one was on the same street as them. 'Something's wrong.'

"I'll take that as you're starting to care for him," Yori laughed but her laughter quickly turned into a scream. A Leave E jumped from one of the rooftops onto Yori. He latched onto her neck an bit, hard.

"Yori-chan!" Yuuki yelled and pulled out Artemis.

'It's scary.'

Yuuki jumped at the beast, swung artemis and hit it off of her friend. Yori grabbed her neck in horror, she was bleeding. "Yuuki-chan…" she tried to speak but started losing consciousness.

'It's scary.'

The Level E pounced on Yuuki next, easily knocking her to the ground. The beast pinned Yuuki down and bit into her neck. It's bite wasn't like Zero's. Instead of trying to be gentle and soft, this bite was unbelievably painful and rough. Yuuki was struggling to get it off of her. "Get her, I'll get Kurosu!" A voice yelled out and the Level E was pulled off of her and a loud scream broke out then it was quiet. Yuuki's vision started fading in and out.

'It's scary.'

"Kurosu Yuuki, snap out of it!" he shook her but she didn't respond, she was in too much of a daze.

'It's scary.'

"Dammit." He said as he pushed her head to the side to the side and looked at the bites. She was bitten at least three times and blood was trailing out each of the tiny marks. He leaned down and licked each of the holes to stop the blood. Once she stopped bleeding she licked up the rest of her life source that trailed down her neck. She was delicious to him, but this wasn't the way he wanted to taste her again. He wanted her to offer it to him, willingly.

He gently picked her up and put her on his back. "Take care of her then erase her memory." He ordered Akatsuki who was already helping Yori.

Aidou was almost close to Yuuki's house when he felt her stir and a small moan came from her and she came to.

"Aidou-senpai?" her voice was weak.

"How are you feeling?" Aidou was genuinely concerned.

"My neck is a little sore." She didn't need to lie, it did hurt.

"I bet, he bit you multiple times." Aidou sounded beyond angry. Just as they reached Yuuki's door he asked for her key and he let them both in while still carrying her. Kaien had gone out shopping and Zero was in detention as usual. "Where is your room?" He asked and Yuuki pointed him in the direction. Once her reached the door, he let them both them both in and closed the door with his foot behind him. He knelled in front of Yuuki's bed and carefully sat her down.

"Thank you… Aidou-senpai." She looked upset. Aidou sat down next to her on the bed.

"Kurosu Yuuki." He turned and faced her. He looked angry. "Enough already." Yuuki was taken aback.

"W-what…?" His normally cold eyes were on fire, she had never seen him this angry before.

"Don't leave my sight like that again. Every time you do, something bad happens and you get hurt." He paused. "I can't take worrying about you anymore. You are driving me insane." Yuuki tried to respond but couldn't, she didn't know what to say, he sat there looking like he wanted her to say something. "Dammit, Kurosu Yuuki, stop doing this to me." He put his hand on her shoulder and leaned into her. His lips met hers and he gently kissed her. Yuuki's eyes widened.

'Aidou-sen…' his lips where warm and soft, it felt like electricity was flowing from his lips through her body. Her face started burning and her heart was beating incredibly fast. Aidou pulled away from her. After seeing Yuuki blushing with her eyes wide, he felt flustered, his own blush crossed his face.

"Don't wonder off again like that… Yuuki-chan." His voice was shaking. "Get some rest!" He ordered and stood up and left her room. Yuuki stayed for a moment staring at where he was sitting.

Her heart was racing and her body felt warm. Her worries and fear from what happened shortly ago melted away. "He called me… Yuuki-chan?" Her face was on fire and she gently touched her lips. "Aidou-senpai's lips… touched… he kissed me…?"

What do you think? Short chapter, huh? Ah, their first kiss, I wrote it out maybe five different ways that it could happen, I decided on this one though. Was it okay? Sorry, it's taking me a little time to get back in the flow of writing. I'll work hard to get the next chapter out as soon as possible! Thank you for reading!
