When I Return…

I'm back :)

I'm sorry I took soo long…but this scene was just really difficult…I don't know why but it was rather hard^^

But I think I found a rather acceptable solution so enjoy Chapter 18 of When I Return!

I opened my eyes to see onyx eyes staring back at me.

"Thank you, Luce." He said giving me a smile while wrapping his arms around me.

Without thinking I held him tighter and leaned closer towards him as my eyes slowly fluttered closed.

I leaned closer and closer till I felt my lips touch warm smooth skin…irritated I opened my eyes to see that I was kissing Natsu's cheek.

A bright pink blush coated Natsus cheeks as I gave him his personal space back.

"L-Lucy…what were you doing?" He asked me totally shocked by my sudden approach.

"Well…" I started and felt my cheeks heat up.

I bet I'm crimson, I thought frustrated as Natsu's eyes never looked away.

"I…well…Ijustwantedtokissyou, god dammit!" I yelled the last part, if I wasn't crimson before then I was now for sure.

Natsu looked at me…first shocked…then he started to blush again.

"Why?" He asked me curiously, unconsciously invading my personal space as he looked at me through the depths of his onyx eyes…holding my gaze.

"B-Because…" I stammered, not able to escape his intense gaze.

"Because?" He asked me, boring his eyes into mine, he frantically searched for the answer to a question both of us couldn't answer.

"I don't know." I whispered quietly finally escaping his eye lock and starring at my brown boots.

My vision was suddenly invaded by a pair of black sandals and an amazing warmth that only leaked out of one body.

Not ready to look at him I kept staring at his sandals…till I felt his warm arms encircle me into a hug.

I pressed my face into his chest, breathing in the unmistakable smell of smoke and musk.

Suddenly I felt Natsu loosen the embrace so he could press his forehead against mine.

I stared at his dark eyes, sometimes I had the illusion of seeing stars and shooting stars dancing in the depths of his eyes, it was enchanting.

"I'm sorry, Luce." Whispered Natsu as he pressed his warm lips against mine.

Burning…my lips were practically burning from the sensation of his warm lips against mine, like he was enlightening a match inside of me.

Natsu left me standing as soon I let my eyes flutter open.

"This was enough for one day." I sighed as I walked towards my apartment in complete turmoil.

Next day in the guild

"Lucy, we have a special mission for you before we attend the GMG." Said Master Makarov as he was sitting next to me on the bar counter gulping down his beer.

"Sure, what's the mission?" I asked playing with the straw of my strawberry shake.

"Well, the mission is to investigate a clan and by need to destroy them." Explained the Master calmly.

I rolled my eyes and asked: "Could you give me more information about this clan?"

"Oh…sure, it's a group of maniacs that wear their clothes all white and worship "The Light"" Chuckled Master as he made a rainbow hand motion at the word "The Light"left his lips.

"And what's so intriguing about them?" I asked him bored, slurping the last bit of my strawberry shake.

"There were some "problems" in the area where they live and the other citizens suspect that it's the doing of this clan." Explained the Master as he stood up on the bar counter.

"You're of course not going alone." He said looking at me sternly.

"Fine, I'll take Gajeel, Levy and Laxus with me." I sighed as I was about to stand up.

"That's not possible, I already got you're team prepared." Said Master straightening his already straight clothes.

"Who. Is. It?" I asked through clenched teeth.

"Natsu, Gray and Laxus and you're in cooperation with Sabertooth in this mission…so that means there'll also be Sting and Rogue." Said Master looking at me, giving me the look "don't you dare disobey me".

I sighed and scanned the guild and found a bob of pink and raven hair.

"I advise you to leave in the evening." Master whispered before he hopped down the counter and made his way to his office, knocking Gray and Natsu unconscious on the way.

"I'm all fired up." I sighed sarcastically.

In the evening in the train

"Y-You're…so cruel…ugh…Lushyy."

"It's always a pleasure seeing you guys sick." I said with a sickly sugar coated voice.

"Why did you hit Gray?" Asked Laxus who had his motion sickness under control, for now, because the train isn't moving yet.

"Because it would be totally unfair, don't you think so?" I explained looking at them innocently, as everyone looked at the unconscious Ice Make Mage.

Suddenly they felt the train make a sudden leap, as it finally started to move.

"Good Night, morons." I sang as I punched both Laxus and Nastu in the stomach smirking.

That way they don't have to feel sick and I won't feel awkward the entire ride long.

This is totally frustrating, I'm on a mission with all the guys that kissed me, some I kissed myself…but that doesn't matter right now.

Why's life so difficult?

What did I do to deserve that?!

I kept wondering why everything seemed to be against me, as the towns' field of Magnolia rushed past me and was exchanged by an unfamiliar forest and many mountains.

In Solas (name of the town)

"Is it only me…or does this town look pretty…old?" Asked Natsu rather loudly as he looked at the small stone huts.

"I think it gives the town it's charm, right Lucy?" Asked a familiar voice.

"STING!" I cheered as I lounged on him crushing him in a heartily hug.

"I also missed you, Lucy." Smirked Sting as he stroked my hair softly, I couldn't resist and closed my eyes purring a little bit.

"That's MY Lucy." He whispered into my ear and kissed my forehead.

I blushed at his choice of word, as he released me from our hug.

As soon as I left the warmth of his embrace I felt the cold glares of the others.

I coughed a little bit to ease the tension between the tall guys that were growling and glaring at each other.

"Don't touch her so nonchalantly." Growled Laxus threateningly fixing his glare at Sting.

You could hear the lightening crackle through his whole body.

Natsu only nodded giving Sting a death glare of his own, his whole body alight with a red flames that thirsted for flesh.

Gray stood only there looking at the ground.

Rogue just blended in with the suspiciously dark and big shadows of the hut next to us.

Sting on the other hand just smirked scratching the back of his head.

"Calm down guys, we were just hugging as always, right Lucy?" Defended Sting himself shifting his sky blue eyes towards my chocolate brown ones.

"Sting is right." I said smiling at Sting.

"Well you heard her, let's get to the inn we're staying at." Muttered Gray coldly as he led the way towards the inn.

At the inn

"So you're the mages that are going to investigate on the Taiyo Clan?" Asked the pretty receptionist as she was ogling the guys that were behind me.

"Yes we are." I said a little bit annoyed at the brunette receptionist.

"Hm…let's see…we only have three double rooms." Said the receptionist scanning the screen with her green eyes.

"That means…" I started but before I could finish the receptionist already nodded giving me an envious look.

"I'll share the room with Lucy." Cheered Sting as he held me close to himself by my waist.

"We're going to decide that in a fair battle." Growled Natsu enlightening his fists in fire.

"NATSU, DON'T YOU DARE DO THAT!" I yelled punching him on the head.

"Fine, then how should we decide?" Asked Natsu pouting slightly holding his head.

"Just decide it by Rock, Paper, Scissors?" I suggested waiting for their complaints that never came.

"Okay." They all exclaimed in unison and stood in a circle holding up their fists.

"You've got to be kidding me." I sighed as I watched the "grown up man" argue about someone cheating.

After 20min of arguing

"Well then it's my win!" Cheered Laxus grinning triumphantly at the other guys.

"Good that this is settled…Gray and Natsu you're sharing a room, Rogue, Sting you too." I said giving them the key to their rooms.

"We'll meet in 10min in room 104." I said walking with Laxus towards our room.

"You seem pretty happy." I growled after a few steps glaring at Laxus.

"Well of course I get to share the room with our lovely princess." Exclaimed Laxus smirking at me.

Woah, this guy is so full of himself, whispered the voice inside my head.

Well it's Laxus, what do you want, I thought back.

True, chuckled the voice amused.

"Here's the room, open the door." Said Laxus twisting the knob of room 104.

"Don't be impatient, Drama Queen." I smirked opening the door.

Laxus only huffed and entered the room.

Mh…the room looks pretty neat, two separate beds, yay!

"That's my bed." Exclaimed Laxus lying on the bed next to the window.

"But I want the bed next to the window." I sulked pointing at the bed.

"Nope, that's impossible, if some creep like Sting tries to sneak in, I'll punish them even before they reach you." Explained Laxus muttering the like Sting part, but I still heard him.

"Sting's not a creep." I defended him.

"Of course not." Muttered Laxus sarcastically.

"Shut up…fine I'll take that bed." I fumed throwing my bag on the bed and sitting down on it.

Exactly in that moment someone knocked on our door, Laxus and my eyes met and it was obvious after this he had to…

"Fine, I'll open the god damn door." Hissed Laxus walking towards the door.

Sting and Rogue entered our room, but there was no sign of Natsu and Gray.

"Where are those two?" I asked having a bad feeling.

"Ah, those two are trying to kill each other, they're down the corridor." Explained Sting smiling innocently at me.

I stood up and walked towards the sound of two idiots throwing insults at each other.

"YOU MORONS QUIT THAT SHIT!" I yelled punching both of them on the head.

Back in the room

"Luce you're so cruel." Cried Natsu holding his head while Sting was laughing his ass off.

"Enough now, we have to discuss how we infiltrate the Taiyo Clan." I hissed taking the Lacrima Master gave me and put it on the table.

"Why do you have a Lacrima?" Asked Rogue, talking for the first time the whole day.

I smiled at him and explained: "The master said he wanted to discuss the strategy with us."

I prepared everything and soon we could see our master look back at us.

"Well, I already have a strategy how you could infiltrate the Taiyo Clan." Said Master looking at me.

"The Taiyo Clan worships Light…so the best way to infiltrate them is to act as one of them…and I had the idea that it would be best if we sent Lucy and Sting, because you're both capable of the Light Dragon Slaying." Explained master Makarov calmly.

"And well…so the both of you don't seem too suspicious you'll have to act like an couple, best if you acted like an married couple." Explained Master further scratching the back of his head.

And then masters face vanished and hell broke loose.
