I'm baack! It's been… well years… but I'm not going to make any promises here about updates. I'm gonna go with the flow, but I do promise to finish this story. It certainly holds a special place in my heart.
Lol… Ok a few things first. I know that Max's love for Jen (as a sister cuz he's happily married) isn't as well demonstrated as well as I would've liked in the end of the last chapter; I told you guys that. Lol I lost my way at the end a bit. But I know if someone hurt my best friend the way Nat and Max assume Jen's been hurt, then I'd make their lives hell. I'm more like max than Nat in that sense.
Next bit is the "Elena-bashing". Now I will concede that I'm making Elena a bit bratty and selfish [Also taking account typical teenage behavior, myself included when I was 18 (crazy to think I'm almost 10 years older than that now). Though of course every rule has its exception] , but I do see those as characteristics of hers when I watch TVD, particularly in her treatment of Damon. The argument with Jen wasn't to bash Elena per-say, but to call her out on her bad behavior so she can grow as a person. Let's face it, Damon has suffered a lot more for and because of Elena than she has for him (she's suffered for different reasons). That's why that argument took place.
Lol. On with the story!

Chapter Twelve
Jen heard the bell that hung at the bakery's door ring as she turned and saw Rebekah entering. "Hey, Bex."
"I've come to speak to you." Rebekah said as she sat on a stool and admired the pastries. "But first, I want a blueberry and white chocolate cupcake with buttercream frosting, and an expresso, please." She grinned at the brunette behind the counter.
"No problem, Bex." Jen smiled as she prepared Rebekah's order. "What do you wanna talk about?"
"What's wrong with you and Damon?" Blunt and straight to the point.
'So very Rebekah.' Jen rolled her eyes. "Why would something be wrong between Damon and me?"
"Well since Damon went out with Stefan yesterday, you had to work late and I babysat JD, I happened to notice that you two barely spoke a word to one another, but instead focused your attentions on JD." Rebekah replied as Jen placed the cupcake and expresso in front of her.
"Well he's our son." Jen's deflection made the Original roll her eyes and took a bite of the cupcake.
"What-the bloody hell-ever." She shot back. "You two barely looked at each other before you scooped JD and took him upstairs to bathe. – Oh my gosh, this cupcake is bloody delicious!" She gushed, making Jen laugh.
"I'm glad you like it."
"Don't try to change the subject." The blonde pointed her fork at Jen. "I know something is wrong, Stefan knows something's wrong and even Caroline knows that something is wrong."
Jen sighed. "Elena and I got into a fight."
Rebekah smirked. "Did you stake her somewhere nonfatal? Because she's obviously still alive… Well undead."
Jen couldn't help but chuckle at Rebekah's reaction. "No." She sighed again.
"Then what's the problem? What were you arguing about?"
"Damon overheard us arguing about him, and he also heard me admit that I may have twisted the whole 'knowing about his life' thing." She rubbed her temples.
Rebekah stopped the forkful of cupcake halfway from her mouth. "What 'knowing his whole life' thing?" She looked at her friend curiously.
Jen sighed, leaning against the counter and burying her face in her hands. She stayed that way for a few seconds and Rebekah grew annoyed.
"Jennifer Pierce, you tell me what the hell you're talking about right now!"
Jen couldn't help but chuckle at her friend. She looked up. "Well, I tweaked the truth about knowing his life."
"Tweaked how?"
"Well, I said I just knew shit and the info would come randomly and it'd be vague."
"But it wasn't." It was an affirmation, not a question, and the look on her friend's face revealed just how much deeper this went.
"No, Bex, it wasn't." Jennifer confirmed. "It was like every time I closed my eyes and went to sleep, I was forced to watch a sick reality TV show starring the love of my life be lied to, played, killed, kill, fuck random women, get heartbroken, start recovering just to be played again and bury all the good in him, all while pregnant and raising his child." Her brown eyes turned glassy.
"Oh shit, Jen." Rebekah sympathized with her friend. She could see how difficult the situation was for Jen.
"Yeah," She chuckled bitterly. "Elena actually accused me of playing Damon, and had the balls to ask if I knew what it was like to watch someone I love get played." She gritted her teeth. "I hadn't planned on telling her, Bex, or anyone for that matter. But when she accused me of using my son as a pawn and asked me that, it slipped out. I knew that if I ever told anyone it would get to Damon and thanks to my fucking luck, it did." She shook her head and anger coursed through her body and she shook lightly. "Then that asshole has the balls to ask me why I hid it from him. I tell him it was to protect him from feeling guilty for something he couldn't control. I mean, dammit! He's already had enough of that in his life." She was seething in anger. "Then you know what he says to me?" She turned to the Original, who remained quiet since the question was clearly rhetorical. "He says he doesn't need to be protected! I told him that was sad as fuck and he could lie to someone else, like his precious Elena." She was panting and leaning against the counter by the time she was done. Angry tears were burning in her eyes.
"Well fuck him." Rebekah shrugged. "He's been treated like shit for so bloody long that the fool has no idea when someone loves him and wants to treat him right."
"Tell me about it…" Jen mumbled, rubbing her temples. "And if he thinks that I'm gonna beg for his forgiveness then he's got another thing coming. I'm not sorry for keeping that secret from him. I'm sorry he found out, but I'm not sorry for trying to protect him." She rolled her eyes.
Rebekah chuckled. "Good for you! You shouldn't be sorry at all!" Jen laughed. It was moments like this that made her happy to have Rebekah as a friend. "Men are douchebags." Rebekah said with an eye roll.
"Here, here!" Jen nodded.
-LD-
Damon was avoiding everyone lately, well everyone but his son. He was still pissed at Elena and hadn't really talked to her since overhearing her and Jen fighting. He would have to face her soon though; it was time to take her hunting again. Jen… well he was still mad at her for lying. And Stefan? Well he'd noticed that Stefan noted how he'd been avoiding the 2 brunettes and he'd been dodging his brother to avoid any questions that he didn't want to answer.
Fortunately though, he was currently alone. He threw an arm over his eyes. Elena, Stefan and JD were all at school and Jen was at work, but he'd have to take Elena for a hunt as soon as she got home. He sighed heavily and closed his eyes.
-Flashback-
He rolled off of her gently and pulled her close to his chest. "I love you, angel." He kissed the top of her head softly.
She looked up at him with a smile. Her face was flushed and her eyes were shining brightly with love for her fiancé. "And I love you."
He smiled back and began combing his fingers through her tousled waves. "When do you want to get married?"
"Next spring." She smiled up at him.
"Already?" He looked down at her, pleased. "Are you sure that you're ready to become my wife? To become the mother of my children?"
She giggled, sitting up whilst holding the sheets to her chest. "Yes," She playfully rolled her eyes. "I am more than ready to become Mrs. Damon Salvatore and have your children, Damon." She smirked and he laughed.
"Well that pleases me more than you could imagine." He sat up as well and kissed her softly. "Now tell me, Mrs. Soon-to-be Salvatore, how many children are we going to have?"
"Hmm…" She tapped her chin with a finger. "At least two."
"And the first will be a little girl who is to be the spitting image of her beautiful mother no doubt?" He tucked a curl behind her ear.
"No," She smiled. "The first will be a beautiful little boy who is going to be the spitting image of his handsome father."
He chuckled. "How can you be so sure?" He eyed her with playful skepticism.
"A woman's intuition of course," She smirked proudly.
He let out another laugh. "And does your intuition tell you the name of our son, my love?"
"I'd like for him to be named after my father, Jacob." She answered somewhat sadly.
"And what of your son's father?" He cupped her cheek, not wanting her to fall into a saddened state. "Certainly if he is to look like me then he should be named after me." He waggled his eyebrows playfully, trying to change her mood.
She chuckled, leaning into his touch. "Perhaps…" Her molten chocolate eyes met his crystal blue ones and smile rested on her lips.
"And what of the daughter that we will most definitely have once our son is born?"
"Laura." She answered with a smile.
"Like…" His eyes widened so much that it made her let out a giggle.
"Like your mother." She kissed him sweetly.
He pulled her into his lap, deepening their kiss. "You," He pulled back from her ever so slightly with their foreheads still touching, "are the best part of me, my angel, my life, and my love… my heart. I can't wait until me move into our cottage and away from my father's horrid presence. There, we will raise Jacob and Laura and every single day they will be showered with love, as will you. I promise to tell you and show you how much I love you every single day of the rest of our lives together." He stroked her cheek.
"And I will love you and cherish you, Damon, every day for the rest of my life." She vowed as her lips met his.
"Then," He pulled back with a teasing smirk. "Allow me to start demonstrating my undying and unwavering love for you now." He flipped her below him with ease and she let out a laugh.
"You are insatiable, Damon!" She giggled and he easily slid home, making her release a soft moan.
"Always with you, Jennifer," He chuckled, kissing her passionately.
-End Flashback-
Damon sat up with a gasp and a whirlwind of emotions inside of him. He was still angry, but it now included the lost daughter, who would've been named after his mother and that looked like Jen. The daughter that he would never have. He was confused as hell, which only served to annoy him and anger him further; and he was kind of horny thanks to the end of the flashback.
'I could almost feel what it was like to be inside her…' He shook his head and checked his phone. 'Elena should be getting home anytime now.' He thought with relief because with her, he was going to get the 2 things he wanted most at the moment: blood and sex.
He threw on his leather jacket just as he heard the front door open. "Damon?" He heard Elena call for him, and zoomed down.
"Come on, we're going hunting." He pushed her out the door and they got into his car. They drove in silence for a while until Elena let out an exasperated sigh.
"Damon, can things please be ok between us again?" She looked over at him pleadingly. "I'm sorry for butting into your relationship with Jen, but I'm just trying to look out for you, to protect you."
Damon rolled his eyes and looked at her. "As I've mentioned before, Elena, I don't need to be protected! And certainly not from Jen!" He glared. "She's not trying to get back together with me using our son because she knows I love you, and she sure as hell isn't going to hurt me." He rolled her eyes. "She never has and she sure as hell isn't going to start now."
"But Damon-"
"But nothing, Elena," He cut her off abruptly. "You have nothing to do with Jen and me, and it was a not your place to get involved."
Elena narrowed her eyes. "And why the hell is that, Damon? I care about you! I don't want to see you get hurt!"
Damon rolled his eyes yet again. "If you don't want to see me hurt, then butt the hell out." He snapped. "Think about it, Elena. Jen didn't have to allow me, a crazy bloodthirsty vampire, near JD, but she did. She didn't have move away from her family and friends to come live with me, Stefan and you, but she did. She didn't have to let me be a part of her and JD's life but she did. So if you keep butting heads with her? You're gonna end up making her leave and take my son with her."
Elena sighed heavily. She knew Damon had a point, but it was so hard for her to keep the storm of emotions inside of her in check. But she was willing to try…for him. "Ok Damon… I'm sorry." She leaned over softly and kissed his cheek.
She watched his body relax and he pulled into a club. "It's ok, Elena. Now let's get you fed." He smiled. They quickly made their way into the bar and Damon watched Elena from afar.
He already knew what Elena's typical prey was: young men in their 20s, but he was surprised when she walked up to a dancing redhead girl that he would normally pick. He watched as Elena started dancing with her. He had to admit it was really hot to watch Elena hunt a girl. He watched his little brunette whisper in the redhead's ear and they began walking to the bathrooms. As they walked Elena looked back in his direction and waved him over. He smirked as he made his way over to the 2 girls. He noticed as they entered the very empty women's restrooms that the girl was either wasted or compelled; neither of which bothered him.
"I'm surprised with your pick tonight, kitten." He smirked and locked the bathroom door.
"I was looking for something different." She shrugged with a smirk of her own.
He chuckled as he walked over to her and made her face her prey. "Now remember," He whispered softly in her ear and pressing himself into her. "Be gentle." He kissed her neck.
Elena moaned softly, rearing her head back and elongating her fangs. She leaned forward kissing the girl's neck before biting into it. The girl moaned in pleasure making Damon desire for Elena and blood even stronger. He leaned forward to the other side of the girl's neck as his own fangs grew out, and bit. One of his hands held the girl in place and the other gripped Elena's thigh before stroking her through her pants. He pulled back with a satisfied sigh and moved to stand behind Elena again, still rubbing her. "That's enough, 'Lena." His blood covered lips kissed her neck as his other hand gripped her chest.
Elena pulled back and quickly turned to kiss the blue-eyes vampire. He picked her up, wrapping her legs around him and zoomed them both to the car. He pushed her roughly into the backseat as they shared desperate kissed and pulled off each other's clothing. He kissed her neck as his hands roamed her body and she moaned his name.
"Damon, please." She pulled him up roughly by his hair. "I can't take it anymore…"
He smiled down at the needy lustful look on her face. She needed him. "Don't worry, kitten." He kissed her softly. "I'll take care of you." He smirked.
"And I will love you and cherish you, Damon, ever day for the rest of my life." He heard her in his head and he shook his head slightly as he positioned himself on top of Elena.
"Then allow me to start demonstrating my undying and unwavering love for you now." His own voice now echoed in his mind.
"You are insatiable, Damon!" The giggle was hers as straight hair turned into wild curls and Elena's olive skin lightened to match hers.
"Always with you, Je-," He shut his eyes tightly and got off the younger Petrova. 'Why does this feel so wrong?' He asked himself.
"Damon, what's wrong?" It was finally Elena's voice he was hearing and he nearly sighed in relief.
He couldn't possibly tell her the truth. "Well we were just fighting not too long ago… And you're probably gonna regret this as soon as you land eyes on Saint Stefan." So he lied.
"But Damon…" She was speechless as she watched him get dressed without sparing her a glance.
"Get dressed." He ordered. "I need to be home in time for dinner with JD."
-LD-
Damon walked into the boarding house with a confused Elena following behind. He could hear JD babbling about his day to Stefan in the kitchen as Jen moved about, probably finishing up dinner. He walked into the kitchen and found his brother smiling at his son, who was in his high chair, by the counter while his mother worked on the other side. He couldn't help, but smile. Even if I am mad at her. He shook his head and walked over to his son. "Hey, kiddo." He kissed the top of JD's head and then ruffled Stefan's hair. "Stef."
"Hi, daddy!" JD greeted with a grin.
"Hey!" Stefan protested, fixing his hair, but also fighting a smile. When was the last time he did that? He thought, glancing at his older brother.
Damon leaned on the counter with a sigh. "Hey." He greeted Jen quietly, a bit of guilt still swirled inside him.
Jen's eyes widened slightly in surprise and she turned to face Damon somewhat skeptically. He hadn't spoken to her directly in nearly a week. "Hey."
"So, maybe we could go out for lunch tomorrow, just the two of us to talk about... everything?"
"Yeah," she nodded with a small smile, "Sounds good."
Not really sure of what to say back, he simply smiled as well.
"Can I come too?" JD asked, oblivious to the tension between his parents.
Jen laughed and turned to her son, but Stefan decided to speak first.
"You could hang out with me instead." The vampire suggested, tickling the toddler's side. "We can go to the park and have lots of fun." He knew his brother and Jen needed this time to talk about what had happened between them. Damon hadn't shared the situation with him and he didn't feel right pushing Jen for answers either, but he did know that they needed to work through whatever it was.
"That sounds like a great idea." Damon half-smiled. "You'll have waaay more fun with Uncle Stefan than you would with your mommy and me talking about grownup stuff."
"Grownup stuff is boring." JD made a face and the adults around him laugh.
"I could come too." Elena suggested casually, awaiting Jen's reply.
Jen sighed, glancing from Elena, to Stefan and then Damon, both of whom nodded. "I guess that'll be fine." She smiled awkwardly.
"It won't be for too long, Jen." Damon promised before turning to his brother. "You can handle that right?" He shot a quick glance at Elena, then looked back at his brother.
"Yeah." Stefan nodded as Jen placed all the food on the island.
Dinner was a quiet affair with JD being the one to do most of the talking. Stefan volunteered to clean the kitchen with Elena's help as the parents got their son ready for bed.
"Night, kiddo." Damon kissed the top of JD's head.
"Sleep tight, sweetheart." Jen gave him an Eskimo kiss.
JD smiled and yawned. "G'Night, momma. G'Night, Daddy. I love you."
Jen smiled. "Love you too, baby."
"Love you, kid." Damon ruffled his hair and clicked on the Captain America nightlight, but JD's blue eyes had already fluttered closed. Smiling, Damon placed his hand on the small of Jen's back, led her out and quietly closed the door behind them.
Sighing softly, Jen looked at Damon with tired eyes. "We need to make this," she pointed between them, "work. Despite anything we go through, Damon, we cannot let it affect us as parents to JD. Kids can sense when something is wrong."
"I know." He ran a hand through his hair. "That's why I want us to talk about... everything tomorrow."
"Ok." She nodded and started walking to her bedroom.
"Jen?"
"Yeah?" She looked back over her shoulder.
"Good night." He gave her half smile.
Smiling softly, she replied: "Good night."
-LD-
Jen checked her watch and gave herself a once over in the mirror. This lunch with Damon had her unnecessarily nervous and that annoyed her almost as much as her and Damon's current, awkward situation. She shook her head, pushing any negative thoughts out of her head, and made her way to the bedroom door just as her cellphone started ringing. After pulling out of her back pocket, she saw her little brother's name flashing on the screen.
"Luke?"
"Hey, Jen." She could hear the smile in his voice.
"What's up?"
"I was wondering if I could come over tomorrow and leave on Sunday." He asked hopefully. "I wanted to use a few of my spring break days to see JD," that made Jen smile, "especially since he isn't just a 10-minute drive away anymore."
She felt a little bit guilty for taking JD so far away from his grandparents, aunts and uncles, but she knew he needed his father, especially since she never thought he would get this opportunity.
"Sounds good, Luke." She smiled, walking out of her room. "I'll let him know you're coming. He's gonna be so excited."
"Great." He laughed. "Hopefully, I'm still his favorite uncle and haven't been replaced by Damon's brother."
"You know what? I'm not even gonna get in the middle of that." She chuckled. "In fact, I'll gladly watch you and Stefan duke it out with a big bowl of popcorn." She smiled as she walked into JD's room.
"You're hilarious." Luke responded sarcastically. "I'll be there for lunch, sis, so I expect one helluva spread."
"You got it." She laughed. "See you, kid."
"Bye." With that, he hung up.
Jen shook her head and chuckled. "JD." She walked over to the little boy who was playing with his toys on the floor.
"Yes, mommy?" He looked up at her.
"I'm going out to meet with your daddy for lunch and you're gonna stay here with Uncle Stefan and Elena, ok?"
"Ok." Jd nodded and returned his attention to his toys.
"And one more thing," she crouched down to look at him, "Uncle Luke is gonna be here tomorrow to hang out with you for four whole days."
A bright smile appeared on the toddler's face as he looked back at his mother. "Really?"
"Yeah, really." She smiled back, kissed the top of his head, and stood up.
"I can't wait to play avengers with Uncle Luke and Uncle Stef!" He shouted excitedly.
"When are we doing that?" Stefans voice flowed from the doorway and Jen smiled at the technically older man.
"My brother's gonna be here tomorrow to see JD for a few days of his spring break." Jen tucked a curl behind her ear. "I hope that's ok."
"It's your house, Jen." Stefan shook his head. "You can have anyone over that you want whenever you want, for as long as you want." He gave her a crooked smile.
"Thanks, Stef." She walked over and kissed his cheek. "And for the record," she stated as she began walking away, "Luke is coming to make sure he's still JD's favorite uncle." She informed with a laugh as she made her way downstairs, all the while she could also hear Stefan's laugh from her son's room.
Just a couple of minutes later, Jen took a deep breath before walking into the grill. She found Damon waiting for her in a booth, drink already in hand. She couldn't help, but smile, although she was still irritated with him.
"Hey." She slipped in the seat across from him.
"I ordered for you, I hope you don't mind." He offered a bit awkwardly.
"I don't." She assured and he nodded.
After a few minutes of awkward silence and Jen's food being brought to the table, Damon finally decided to break the tension.
"So you knew… about everything." He took a long sip of his bourbon.
"I did."
"And you lied."
Jen rolled her eyes. "I'm not doing this again."
"You should've told me, Jen." His crystal blue eyes narrowed. "I deserved to know."
"You didn't have to know the details, Damon. What difference would it have made? What could either of us do about it? What would it change?" She crossed her arms, awaiting a response.
He rubbed his face in exasperation. "You saw so many fucking awful things… you saw me doing so many horrible things, all the while pregnant with my kid." He sighed heavily. "It's fucked up. How could you even invite me into your apartment? Into your life? Into JD's life, knowing what I am? What I've done?" His eyes, desperate and confused, bore into hers. "You knowingly let a monster into your lives, Jen."
She knew this was where this conversation was going to go and she knew damn well how Damon saw himself and how he chose to portray himself. "Stop, Damon."
"No," he cut her off, "what you did was insane. Why would you do it? Why would you allow me to be involved? To participate in his life? Or even be around your son at all?" He rambled on and Jen clenched her teeth.
"Because," she slammed her hands on the table, "he's our son, Damon. He's not just mine. He's ours, mine and yours." She pointed at him. "He's what we wanted, what we dreamed about and seeing as how you aren't the man you were 100, 500, 20 or even 5 years ago, I couldn't deny JD his father, nor could I deny you your son." She explained glassy-eyed. "You are not a monster, Damon." She reached across the table and took his hand. "You've done awful things, yes. Nothing can justify you wrongs, but you were also in a lot of pain for a long time. You've been used, hurt, lied to, betrayed and heartbroken. I didn't want to add to that." She finished with a whisper.
"As if being torn away from the life we had in 1864 wasn't enough, you hurt even more in this time because of me." He removed his hand from hers, leaned across the table and wiped a stray tear from her cheek.
"It was the spell that gave me visions, not you." She shot back softly. "You're just as much a victim of it as I am, Damon."
He dropped his hand and took another sip from his almost empty drink. "Anything else I should know?" He asked and Jen felt as if they'd reached an understanding.
"No." She sighed. "Anything I should know?"
"No." He shook his head. "Don't lie to me again."
"I won't." She promised with a small smile.
He couldn't help it, but a genuine smile started taking over his face. "Thank you… for letting me be his dad, be your partner in raising our son."
A knot formed in her throat, hearing him call them partners and she tried not to let it affect her too much, especially since she knew he could sense all of her reactions, but it was a lot. "Y-you're his dad, Damon." She didn't really know what else to say.
"You're an incredible woman, Jen. I hope you know that."
She simply blushed and looked away.
-LD-
Jen popped the pie she'd brought from the bakery into the oven and checked her watch. Luke would be arriving soon and Damon had picked up dinner for them while she'd brought home dessert.
"Why are you nervous?" She heard Damon's voice from behind her, and she turned to him.
"I am not." She rebutted with her hands on her hips.
"I can tell that you are." He smirked and she sighed in defeat.
"I wanted to make my little brother dinner instead of takeout after being so many hours on the road." She explained, earning a laugh from the vampire.
"You're such a mom!" He shook his head.
"Well, yeah!" She chuckled.
"He'll eat your delicious cooking tomorrow and every other day he's here."
Before Jen could respond, the doorbell rang and JD could be heard running from the living room.
"He's here!" The little boy shouted excitedly.
"No running!" Both parents shouted as they walked to the foyer.
"Sorry, mommy. Sorry, daddy." JD apologized with a sheepish grin that showed he wasn't very sorry at all.
'Just like his father.' Jen shook her head as Damon picked JD up. "That's your kid." She mumbled.
"Our kid, remember?" Damon winked, making her shake her head yet again as she opened the door.
"Luke!" She pulled him into a hug, but she didn't see Damon tense behind her.
"Hey, sis." The teen smiled, hugged his sister back and rubbed the back of her head. "So… I have a bit of a surprise. I hope that's ok."
"Jen," Damon placed a hand on his shoulder just as a brown-haired man appeared next to Luke.
"Drew?" Jen's brown eyes widened with surprise.
"Hey, Jenny." The man waved somewhat uncomfortably. "I missed you and when Luke said he was coming for a visit, I couldn't help but tag along." He smiled and Jen shook her head.
"Uh, of course." Jen responded nervously. "Come in." She welcomed the 2 men in.
Damon clenched his teeth. "We need to talk right now." He whispered in Jen's ear as JD reached for his uncle.
"Uncle Luke!"
"There's my boy!" Luke took the toddler and hugged him tightly.
"Excuse us." Damon took Jen's hand and dragged her into the kitchen.
"Damon, what the hell?" Jen looked at him confused.
"Quiet." He whispered almost inaudibly as he turned on the sink. "Who is that guy?" He continued to whisper.
"He's…" She sighed. "He's my ex from high school." She whispered back.
"Well, he is the guy who's been hunting you." Damon elaborated through clenched teeth and Jen's jaw literally dropped.
"What? Drew is a vampire? Are you sure?" She almost whisper-yelled and Damon nodded. "And I just invited him into our house." She facepalmed. 'I'm a moron.'
"Yeah, well, I'll handle it now." He shook his head. "Show your brother to his room. I'll handle Drew."
Jen nodded, Damon shut the water off and they returned to the foyer. "JD, why don't you and I go show Uncle Luke his room?" She took JD from her brother and led him upstairs.
"Come on, Drew." Damon clapped a hand on his shoulder. "I'll show you to your room." Damon purposely led him to a room on the opposite side of the house to JD and Jen's rooms. "This is your room." He opened door. If Drew made a move to their side of the house, he'd know.
"Thanks for the room. I'm sorry for just dropping in like this, but I haven't seen Jenny in forever and I was dying to see her again." Drew gave a sorry smile and Damon almost believed him. Maybe if he'd been human, he might've.
Damon grabbed him by the collar of his shirt, shoved him against the wall and lifted him off the ground easily. "I don't know what your game is, but if you so much as look at Jen and JD the wrong way," he felt the dark veins manifest and his fangs elongate, "I'll end you."
Drew's eyes widened. "You're a vampire."
"Surprise." Damon snarled and tossed the younger vampire on the ground.
Alright! That's it! Chapter 12! I'm pretty proud of it. I'll try to have chapter 13 up by the end of the month (again, no promises), but I love that I was able to get back to this story. It means a lot to me. I might replace that long ass author's note when I post ch 13.
I hope you guys enjoyed it. Please follow & favorite! Please review! I really appreciate it when you do! I'll try to respond to them if I can.
