Maka was a bit happy that Olivia was going to be alright, Tsubkai and Liz couldn't help to feel really bad about what happened. They thought maybe they could make it up to Olivia by taking her out for an ice cream cone. She was now in a wheelchair considering she couldn't walk on her caste. Maka agreed and told them they could take her out for ice cream, but they had to keep a really good eye on her this time.

Its was around Noon and Maka was about to go back downtown to her job. Today was her first day and she couldn't help to feel really excited about her first day working. She didn't know how much stress this would take off her chest. Even though her and Soul were now together as a couple it didn't mean that he had to support for Olivia on his own, or at all for that matter.

Maka was always against Soul buying things for her daughter because she didn't want Soul to feel the need that he HAD to do any of that for them. It really was not necessary at all. Maka slipped on her black leggings before putting on her shoes and tying the thick black bow around her waist. She had to admit the waitress outfits were really adorable.

Her hair were up in two pigtails and they were curled up and cute. She didn't wear any make up like most of them. She had noticed that yesterday. Most of the girls that worked there looked a bit like a human sized barbie doll. Maka finished her outfit off with a bell tied around her neck, it made her think of a kittens bell. She was no cat that's for sure, but she sure in hell felt like one now.

Grabbing her bag she started out the door. She needed to get there early, because it wouldn't look very well for her first day to be late. Reaching to open the door the knob began to turn before she could touch it at all. In walked Soul with a couple of bags in his hands, Maka eyed the bags it looked like it held a lot of junk in them. She looked up at Soul who only smirked and eyed her in return.

"Well, I have to say. This new job that you got may be a good thing after all." He said, letting one of her ponytails slip through his hand. Maka on rolled her eyes and turned the other way.

"Oh and why is that?" She asked him, still not looking at Soul face to face. She could hear him chuckle as he sat the bags on the table and leaned in next to her ear. Maka could feel his breath hitting her ear as he began to speak.

"I think you know why, so don't act innocent because your in a waitress uniform." He grinned pulling away from a very red Maka. She snapped her head in Soul's direction and only pouted at him. Soul couldn't help how cute she was being, even when she was pissed with him she looked really cute. He smiled at her and began to rummage through the bags.

"Soul, I was curious what's the bag of junk for?" She question raising a blonde brow.

"Blackstar and I are hanging out tonight." He smirked.

Maka nodded her head slowly before glancing at the clock. Her eyes went wide and she turned to the door."Fuck, Im late damn it Soul! Ill talk to you later!" She screamed, running out the door. Soul couldn't help to laugh but he screamed back."Take the car." He laughed, he was pretty sure he could hear Maka's grunts from down the hall.

Damn him for making her late, she thought to herself pulling into the parking lot of the restaurant. She quickly got out the car, dropping some of her items in the process. She gathered them up quickly in her hand before speeding into the restaurant as if she was trying out for sprinting. She pulled out her work card and punctured it indicating that she was present.

Breathing heavily she noticed that she wasn't late, matter of fact she was right on time. Maka took a few extra seconds to catch her breath and to scan the area by the looks of everything it seems that business was running really slow. Luckily for her they didn't attract a huge amount of people yet.

"I have to say Albarn, you make an effort to get here on time."

Maka quickly whipped her head around only to see James looking at her with a small smile placed on his face. A huge frying pan in one hand and a dirty rag in the other he must of have been doing some cleaning.

"Yeah, sorry I didn't mean it."

"Why are you apologizing? You did nothing wrong my dear, come come...lets get you started." He said guiding her into the back where they disappeared behind the 'Employees Only' Door sign."You look very nice, please sit here. The Owner should be with you in a minute, he wants to talk about somethings with you before you start." He told her.

"Sounds good." Maka said giving him nod as she sat down in the chair. James smiled before walking off into the kitchen leaving her completely alone. She would of never thought there was an office back here where the kitchen is located, however she has seen many other weird things in her life so this really was not the first time.

A door shut behind her making her tense up. She didn't think to look back so she only waited until he was facing her.

"Sorry that took so long, I was really busy and lost track of time." The voice huffed as if it was really annoyed with something. Maka tensed again, but this time it wasn't because she was nervous. She was still, worried, scared, curious and at the same time she wanted to run. She gripped the edges of her chair tightly as the man sat right in front of her, he didn't look at her so she took the opportunity to place her head down so he couldn't see her face.

"Now lets get down to business before you start, how about you tell me about yourself?" He said going through some papers, not even bothering ot look up at her at all.

"You already know everything there is to know about me..." She said which confused him. He didn't understand what she was talking about and decided to look up at the newest member.

"Maka..."

"Hiro..."

There was a long pause she then lifted her head up and glared at him. She didn't smile at him even though she hasn't seen him in a long time.

He glanced at her frustrated face and only leaned back into his chair in surprised. Once he was able to take everything in a grin appeared on his face as he just stared at her. "Well I be damn."

Maka gazed the other way ignoring the small comment."Let's just get this over with, I wanna start working now."

Hiro looked at her and only stared." Wait, Maka...I have many things to ask you about-..."

She placed a hand up signalling him to stop, which he obeyed right away.

"I don't want you to ask questions, and if you do I will not answer them at all. I don't want anything to do with this or with you." She put as simple as she could get it. Hiro only looked at her and shook his head. She was still the same as he remembered, but the thing was he had so many things to ask her. He wanted to know how she was and if she was doing okay, he also was curious on how their child was doing.

He decided not to answer, but only continued to look through her job application, considering the atmosphere was a bit tense.

Maka didn't know what she was thinking at the moment because it all hit her faster than she anticipated. Who would of known out of all the possible people to be her boss it would be Hiro? She always promised herself she would try to avoid him no matter what, not just because she didn't want anything to do with him, but for Olivia's sake she had to stay away from him. He had the chance to take part in Olivia's life, and turned it down and now he thinks he has the rights to just show up and want to know more about what's happened in the past years.

She glared silently at him, but once he finished looking over her work papers he looked up, and she immediately looked away.

"Good to say everything is in order.." He trailed, pushing the stack of papers closer towards her.

She gazed at him fro a second before looking back down and grabbing back her papers."Yeah...is that all?"

He nodded his head."Pretty much, you can start by helping prep the food." He instructed. Maka nodded her head and quickly got up from her seat. She was almost to the door before Hiro called out her name making her flinch. She slowly turned towards him with no emotion on her face.

"We need to catch up. Please, if you don't mind tomorrow? In the park." He asked her with pleading eyes. She turned away quickly and only sighed, maybe if she did that he would leave her alone.

"Fine." She mutter closing the door behind her.

She opened the door slightly hoping that the creaking of the door wouldn't wake up Soul or Olivia. Maka still couldn't believe that Hiro was the boss at her new job, but that wasn't the only thing. The fact that he wanted to meet up with her tomorrow and catch up? When she thinks about it she wonders if she made the right choice. Always promising herself that she would never let him back into her or Olivia's life, but he was here now and she was lost for ideas on what to do.

Maka shut the door and cursed at the same time she stepped on one of Olivia's dolls that made noise. Looking around quickly she felt around for the doll it didn't do much good considering it was pitch black. Finally having a grip on the doll she looked around once more before making her way towards what she hoped was the kitchen counter; sitting the doll on top of the counter she was relived that no one woke up.

She breathed a heavy sigh as she leaned against the counter she only wondered what Soul would think about her seeing Hiro again. How could she bring herself to tell him that she saw him again, but not only that tell him that Hiro just so happened to be her boss at where she worked. Pondering about it for a few minutes she still couldn't decide on what to do. She knew deep in her heart that she couldn't keep something like this from Soul, considering he only had the rights to know the truth.

Maka lifted herself up off the counter and started to make her way towards Olivia's room just to check on her. She opened the door slightly before tip toeing to the side of her bed where she found Olivia sleeping peacefully. Maka had a tender smile placed on her face as she kissed Olivia on her forehead. She couldn't tell anyone about Hiro she only imagined what it would do to Olivia if she found out and she really didn't want to have to go through it all again. Brushing Olivia's stray locks aside Maka made her way out the room shutting it quietly behind her.

"You're home pretty late, everything go alright?"

Maka whipped her head around but she couldn't see anyone. She heard footsteps in the darkness and decided not to move the next thing she knew the lights were flickered on and Soul's face appeared right before her.

Maka sighed and shrugged."Yeah, it ran pretty late...not to mention it was busy."

Soul watched as Maka rubbed the side of her arm avoiding eye contact with him. At first he wondered why she didn't look him straight in the eye when he made that comment, but decided not to say anything about her reaction yet.

Maka placed her bad on the table next to the couch before taking a seat and leaning her head back. She could hear Soul's footsteps come closer until he was sitting directly next to her.

"..So you said it went well...what happened today? Anything interesting?" He questioned not looking directly at her. Maka put on a light shrug as she swallowed a lump of spit.

"I guess you could say that, but it really isn't anything worth boasting about." She replied getting up from her seat and making her way into the bathroom where she quickly shut the door.

Soul sighed getting up himself before making his way towards his bedroom. Shutting the door behind him softly he only began to wonder about Maka.

"I have a feeling you're right about it being something not worth boasting about..." He muttered, plopping down on his bed.
