I rewrote this section of the story because when I reread it, I decided it wasn't the direction I wanted to go and was way too cliche. Let's try again! Please let me know how you like this in a review, and which place you'd like her to go to first!

The next day, Haruhi sat in the host club in the last day of school, her cell phone sitting on the table in front of her. The twins had brought her out to sushi, and Kaoru had even gotten a better grade on his test because of their studying yesterday. She sipped her tea as she spoke with the girls about the recipes and 'commoner' cooking with supermarket food. She still found it amusing that these rich girls were so fascinated with commoner food.

"Haruhi, you should cook something for us!" One of the girls smiled.

"Yes Haruhi, cook is something commoners eat!" The other agreed excitedly.

Haruhi tapped her finger against her chin thoughtfully. "I could make something simple. How about burgers?"

"Burgers?" The girls looked at each other in confusion.

Haruhi inwardly laughed that these people were sometimes so clueless. "They're like meat sandwiches with different toppings. They can have cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, ketchup, mustard… there's a lot of options."

"That sounds delicious! " the girls squealed.

Kyoya walked up behind them and wrote some things on his clipboard. "I'll make a note to order ingredients and ovens tomorrow for a demo of your cooking skills. Let me know what you need, Haruhi." He said before moving onto the next table.

Haruhi glanced at her phone on the table, wondering how Tamaki was doing in his search for his mother.

"Have you heard from Tamaki, Haruhi? We miss him." The girls asked.

"I miss him too." She sighed absently before realizing what she had said. She flushed and looked up to see the girls staring at her with similar blushes on their faces. "W-wait, I didn't mean- uh-"

The girls squealed in excitement at the idea of Haruhi and Tamaki together and talked to each other of how romantic it was.

Haruhi sighed, setting her head in her hand in frustration at her slip up. Oh well, it would have happened at some point. It's just good that these girls still thought she was a boy, otherwise she'd have jealous women making her life hell.

"It's okay, Haruhi, I miss Tamaki-san too!" Honey pouted as he walked up beside her chair. "Do you want to have a piece of cake with me?"

Haruhi smiled and looked back to the ladies at the table but all of them had turned toward the twins, who were making a scene.

Honey tugged her sleeve to go with him, bringing her over to a table at the far side of the room away from the others. "Are you doing okay?" He asked, climbing up onto one of these seats.

"Yeah, I kind of let slip that I miss Tamaki, though." Haruhi sighed.

"That's okay, your feelings would have been obvious when he got back anyway." Honey ate a piece of cake and practically melted in his seat as he hummed happily.

"You may want to finish conversations before you eat cake, Honey." Mori set a hand on the smaller man's head gently. "He's trying to say that we had concerns over your secret staying safe when he gets back. We all know how Tamaki is around women he doesn't have a relationship with, but few know how he is when he loves a girl."

Haruhi gulped uneasily. "I-I have a bit of an idea, but has he had many girlfriends while he was here?"

"Before you came, yes. He hasn't had a single woman since he met you. Eclaire manipulated him, so I wouldn't call that too much of a relationship." Mori shook his head in dismay. "He's very outgoing and flirtatious, but he's different around you, Haruhi."

"How so?" Haruhi blushed, the conversation a bit embarrassing.

"He's more…" Mori paused to think for a minute. "Intense. He obviously feels strongly for you, both mentally and physically."

"You make it sound so scientific, Mori." Honey chuckled, finally out of his sugar trance. "Tamaki will let everyone know you're together. If you stay with your secret, you may get some bullying for being so openly gay. If you decide to identify as a female, the women will go after you, but you'd have us to protect you."

"You have nothing to fear with us around." Mori nodded confidently.

"I can't be around you guys all the time, though." Haruhi bit her lip nervously. She looked over her shoulder to see the host club session ending, the girls dispersing and walking out of the room, waving goodbye. Haruhi waved back as the twins and Kyoya walked over.

"The girls will refrain from teasing you if they think you're still male. The men might be jealous because of all the attention you'd get from their women." Kyoya said thoughtfully. "You two may become even more popular than the twins' brotherly romance shtick."

"That sounds like a challenge." Hikaru grinned wryly.

"N-no, I'm not good with being romantic in public!" Haruhi held her hands up defensively as she stammered.

"But Tama is!" Honey giggled.

Haruhi groaned in dismay, her face already flushing at the idea, her hands covering her face to hide her burning cheeks.

"My, Honey, she might give you a run for your money if she reacts like that all the time." Kyoya chuckled.

Honey only laughed, jumping up to sit beside Haruhi on the ornate bench. He pushed the stuffed bunny toward her with a smile. "Do you want to hug Usa-chan?"

Haruhi held the bunny for a moment before hugging it with a sigh of relief. She hid her blush until she felt her face cool, handing the bunny back to Honey. "Thank you."

"No problem." Honey smiled warmly. "Next week is the last week of school. Do you have anything planned?"

"Not yet." Haruhi shook her head. " the bed and breakfast is closed for refurbishing for the summer, so I won't have anything to do."

"You can model for our new line of dresses!" The twins said simultaneously.

"You can come to our house and I can teach you martial arts! It's good exercise, and very relaxing." Honey suggested.

"Our family is also starting a charity collecting books for rural schools." Kyoya said, glancing over to Haruhi. "If you'd like to help me sort through some, I would appreciate it."

Haruhi looked around at everyone and smiled. "Alright guys, thanks." She could stay busy while Tamaki was gone to take her mind off things.
