Just wrote this really quickly after watching the new episode of Doctor Who! Sorry for bad grammar, it's 2 am.
He had saved her again.
He had saved her again, and she hadn't had the time to properly thank him. She had been in a daze, seeing him just mere inches away from her had been fogging her brain, causing her to bop him on the nose and giggle like a proper idiot. She would make up for that somehow.
Clara strode into the TARDIS, still chuckling to herself about the silly little "you're the boss" comment the Doctor had made moments before. She pressed her hands down on the TARDIS's control panel and smiled, it had been a good day. Well besides the Mr. Sweet situation, that was rather creepy.
What was good about the day had been portraying Mrs. Smith Or was that not today? She wasn't really sure how long she had been frozen in spot in that glass case. She couldn't really remember much of the incident, and quite frankly, she didn't want to. Back to Mrs. Smith, she thought it had been fun playing the Doctor's wife, constantly holding onto his arm, and giving him sweet little smiles. She wouldn't admit to the Doctor that being his wife hadn't been to bad of an experience.
Clara heard the door to the TARDIS open and she snapped out of her thoughts, looking back to see the Doctor walk in, smiling like the doofus he was. "So where to next?" He asked her as he came up behind, reaching around her to pull a lever.
"Oh I'm still the boss am I?" she smirked, knowing it would fluster him.
"You are most certainly not the boss!" He insisted "I'm the boss, and there's nothing you could ever do to stop that."
"Oh?" Clara felt a quirky little idea forming in her mind. "By the way, I never got to properly thank you".
"Thank me? For what?" The Doctor asked, looking puzzled.
"For saving me" she responded "you know, I would have been trapped there forever if you hadn't come".
"I would never leave you" he assured "you should know that by now".
"Your sweet" Clara giggled and turned around so she was facing the Doctor. He was still only about 6 inches away from her, from when he had grabbed the lever. She quickly decided to take the leap of faith she had been building up the courage to take for a while now. She kissed him.
It was short and sweet, but to them it felt like it lasted ages. As soon as Clara pulled back, she opened her eyes to see the Doctor's gazing directly into her's.
It took a moment, but the Doctor regained enough composure to clear his throat "was that for any particular reason?"
"Well two reasons" Clara decided "the first reason was to say thank you".
"And the second reason?"
"Will you take me home for a bit?" Clara asked abruptly.
"What?" The Doctor blinked "What for?"
"Oh, just to visit, I promise I won't take long."
"I suppose that would be fine" The Doctor began to pace around the control panel, beginning to fly the TARDIS back to 21st century London.
"That was the second reason" Clara grinned.
"What was?"
"The second reason was to prove that I'm the boss".
