A/N: So this should be the final chapter, note the Should part, cuz yeah I have a habit of going on and on and on. Anyway, we reach the confrontation! Yay! Most of this will sadly not be supported by game so crud. I'll be going off my own thoughts. Anyway…

Warnings: Violence. It's Assassin's Creed, come on.

Disclaimer: I own zilch, zero, nothing, ect.

Chapter 4: Reality or Nightmare?

I take them near the keep to find the watch tower abandoned. This is not good. I take them to the cliffs near and we scale them to the village. It seems deserted, and we can hear fighting, running to look down we see Altair fighting novices, and he already has a ring of bodies. We use our throwing knives to aide him sending some of the living novices fleeing. Altair looks about in confusion and I can't hold back my grin.

"Altair up here!" I cry waving an arm. I watch him begin to run and met him half way both of us grinning at the other.

"You picked a fine time to arrive!" He says and I agree. I can see he struggles; the battle with Rober seems hard won.

"I seems." I smile and he hardens growing guarded as he straightens.

"Guard yourself, Al Mualim has betrayed us." Altair's eyes flash like an eagle caged and angry. I nod.

"Yes and his Templar allies." I say surprising him. He grows curious. He moves slightly closer eager for knowledge, truly not the same man I had known.

"How?" He asks I move closer, my men staying put as they scanned for danger. I appreciate the fact. Though accepted, love for a brother was rare, and often frowned on.

"After we spoke I went to Solomon's Temple. Rober had kept a journal, filled the pages with revelations. What I read both broke my heart and opened my eyes. You were right, all along Al Mualim has used us! We were never meant to save the Holy Land only deliver it to HIM, he must be stopped." I vent arm waving as I explain, my anger shows clearly. Altair nods.

"Be careful, what he's done to the other's he will do to us if given the chance. You must stay far from him." I am taken aback. Not help Altair? Was he mad?

"What then do you propose? My blade arm remains strong and my men are yet my own! It would be a mistake not to use us." I state gesturing to my men and clenching my fist as I feel insulted. Altair grins seeing my indignation. I want to slap him.

"Distract the thralls then. Assault the fortress from behind and draw them away from me so that I might reach Al Mualim." I smile as I see he does have wisdom. I bow my head.

"I will you as you ask, Dai." I state smiling as he playfully sneers at the jab.

"The men we face, their minds are not their own. Try to avoid killing them…" I nod, this I had already seen. No sane Assassin would attack Altair.

"Yes, though he betrays the Creed we should not as well. I will do what I can." I am overjoyed he has become one of both skill and wisdom. He will need it. I felt he would surprise me for years to come.

"That is all I ask. Safety and peace my friend." He moves even closer and I smile because we both know neither of us will do anything before our Brothers.

"Your presence here will deliver us both." I say, reversing the first thing I had said to him after Solomon's Temple. He looks shocked then smiles. I bow we share a quick hug and part ways. We rush to the village to go around, and he goes to the keep. I pray he succeeds.

It is near night fall, we've been fighting for hours, those we can we knock out; other's if necessary we kill. It had been hours and I feared we had failed. We had reached the fortress but there was no sign of either Al Mualim, or Altair. We rushed to the garden and I froze. There was the body of our Master, and before Altair was the treasure above it a glowing sphere of what by what I could tell was the world. What in Allah's name?

Yet Altair took it, and I was at a loss. To me it should be destroyed, but Altair wished to learn its secrets. As we burned Al Mualim, and Altair saved us from Abas' stupidity I decided not to force him. I couldn't, he would do what he would I would not hold my tongue however. I only think Abas is a trouble maker I will need to keep watch on as I assist our new Grandmaster, Altair, in rebuilding the Brotherhood. After of course I have my way with him.
