Chapter 8: Spring Darkness

The small town of Burgess was slowly suffering from the inside out. Children couldn't sleep peacefully at night anymore due to the nightmares that swarmed their once peaceful and sweet dreams.

Jack gleefully watched over the now suffering children waiting for th pesky guardians to come back so he could get rid of them once and for all. Then, he would...

He growls softly, biting the inside of his cheek as he glared up at the now barely visible moon. It was because of the Man in Moon that he had to suffer loneliness for centuries.

Jack Frost would suffer no more by those damn Guardians or that Man In Moon. A malacious grin replaces the frown on the teen's face as he stares down at the town one more time.

It was time to put his plan into action, but there was just one single problem to it. He was in need of a companion, another spirit to stand beside him to take down his enemies.

He took in consideration of the three Seasonal spirits and their abilities. He waved his hand in the air conjuring up three ice minitures of the spirits. His eyes gazed between them before deciding on one.

Jack chuckled softly as he waved his hand again, opening a dark portal. He stepped inside, vanishing from the town.

**Chengdu, China Tulip Festival**

People laughed and smiled as they enjoyed the blossoming Tulips. Spring was in full bloom all around them as an unseen teenager danced around them.

He smiles sweetly as he spreads his power through the air making the small buds bloom ever so beautiful. He gave a soft giggle as he watched the children chase after butterflies that flocked to the sweet scented flowers.

The teenager brushed back a strand of blonde hair from his face as he floated above the festival. Suddenly, the wind blew around him like it was trying to usher him away. The teen's smile fell from his face as he pushed back against the wind, not understanding its sudden agression.

"I insist you stop pushing me," He says sternly as his hands rest on his hips as he twirled around. The wind kept trying to gently herd him away and the teen held a hand out, "I am not going anywhere. What is with you, wind?!"

The teen shivered as a harsh, bitter cold wind blew past him. He watched in horror as a wave of darkness approached from the East and the wind swirled protectively around the teen who was stunned.

/W...What in the world is that?!/ the teen thought as he quickly flew towards it. /I have to keep it away from the people, the children!/

The teen watched in complete horror as Jack Frost emerged from the darkness and he watched the other spirit cautiously.

"It's been such a long time since I last saw you, Navin," A shudder went through the teen's body at the voice of the once good spirit, "It's been almost a decade, right? Too long if you ask me."

Navin wrapped his arms around his shoulders trying to ease his shivering as the air turned bitter cold and heavy. Navin heard people gasp and scream in horror and he looks down.

His eyes widen in complete horror seeing the Tulips frozen solid with a light blanket of snow covering them. He reacts quick, sending a wave of Spring heat towards the flowers to unfreeze them. The heat does nothing to save the flowers and Navin gives a small whine.

"Jack, what are you doing?" he asks trying to hide his panic and fear that laces his voice. His body is shaking almost uncontrollably since he is not use to the winter cold, "Please, stop this madness and unfreeze my flowers. You're frightening the children..."

Navin flinches as the cruel smirk that adorns Jack's face and he is unaware of the swirl of black sand that forms silently behind him.

Navin lets out a scream as black sand wraps around his waist and his wrists. He lashes out immediately with Spring magic, trying to dislodge the sand, but fails as it only tightens.

His wrists are pulled up behind his back as sand forms around them locking them into place. Navin squirms almost violently trying to get free.

Spring magic swarms around him as Jack slowly approaches his captive. He loves the fighting spirit that rests inside of Navin and he licks his lips knowing that it benefit him in the long run.

Jack cups Navin's face, tilting it up so he can look into those sky blue eyes. Light blonde freckles dust the cheeks and across the nose of the soft skin and Jack lets his thumb run over them grinning when Navin flinches and closes his eyes.

"I've got big plans for you, Navin," Jack whispers cruelly as he leans forward capturing the Spring Spirit's soft lips in a harsh kiss.

Navin's eyes snap open in horror and he bites down hard onto Jack's invading tongue, causing the Winter Spirit to pull back with a wince and a frown.

Navin spits the blood to the side and he glares at Jack with anger. He struggles resume as Jack inspects his bleeding tongue. Jack's eyes darken in rage seeing the blood on the tip of his finger.

Navin's face snaps to the side as Jack brings his hand across the Spring Spirit's face hard. Tears appear in the corners of those sky blue eyes, threatening to fall. Navin's cheek is starting to bruise almost immediately.

Jack grips the other boy by his chin harshly, pulling his face back to him. Jack kisses Navin again, this time snaking his hand into that soft blonde braid. His hand crushes the Lilly that resides there and grabs the hair firmly.

Navin lets out a soft cry that's muffled by Jack's mouth as the hand there forms a new flower. Jack smirks feeling the dark rose take form in the Spring Spirit's hair. The vines wrap around into the hair and then move to the neck of it's victim.

Navin struggles slowly stop as his magic is slowly drained from him. Jack finally pulls away, panting softly as he watches the vines form a necklace around Navin's neck. A small rose bud forms in the center of the vines.

The bud pulses as it asorbs the Spring magic and Navin whimpers softly as his vision blurs. He looks at Jack who leans in once again to kiss the Spirit.

"Shh, it'll be jsut fine, my little one," Jack hums softly as watches the Spring Spirit fall into a forced slumber. Jack gently looped one arm under Navin's legs and the other under his arms jsut below the shoulders, "Just let the flower bloom and you'll be by my side until the day we die."

Jack chuckles softly, the dark sand floating around him as if it were alive. Jack opens another portal and he steps inside of it with the now unconscious Spring Spirit.

"The time is coming, Guardians, to meet your deaths." laughter echoes through the air as the portal closes.

End of Chapter 8!

DuoXKouga: Oh yes, I'm back. I'm sorry if this chapter is short! I promise the next chapter will explain exactly why Jack has abducted Navin (MY OC) and I'll be introducing some more characters as well as a little dive into Jack's history. I hope you enjoyed this chapter! See you in Chapter 9 which will be much longer (hopefully)!
