Thorin returned to the company with a small sad smile hidden by his beard. Almost instantly, the comments let rip. Like a wild-fire, members of the company questioned him, made jokes about him, tried giving advice to him, it was torture. Of course, it was only made worse when Kili arrived.

"I miss anything interesting?" he asked, smirking all the while.

"You are an evil child." Thorin grumbled.

"Evil? Why Uncle dearest would you call me such a thing?"

"Kili," Gloin called, "Where has your partner in crime run off too?"

"Hmm…." He frowned, "They haven't returned yet? "

"They?"

"Yeah. Fili and Ori."

"WHAT?!" Nori and Dori shouted in unison.

"Are you sayin my little brother is wonderin around somewhere in this elvish hell hole with that trouble maker?!" Nori questioned menacingly.

"Think of it this way," Bofur said, "It's better than him being alone."

This surprisingly seemed to calm down the brothers. They all now sat in relative quiet, none of them really knowing what to do. They had been invited to have dinner again with Lord Elrond and his family. By now it was late afternoon and they had a few more hours to kill in the mean time. What were they supposed to do?

"I saw a huge fountain on my way here." Kili stated.

Bilba rose from her resting. She was confused as to where she was, again. She had fallen asleep in the library, so how the hell did she end up in the sleeping quarters? Looking around, she found no hints as to how she had gotten there, except for Thorins coat was over her, again.

It was actually getting really annoying having that thing show up every time she closed her eyes. At first it had seemed sweet and a kind gesture, but now since she didn't know who was doing it, it pissed her off. It was warm and bulky and smelled like sweat and death and rich soil and had a rather enticing spice scent and—

'WOAH BILBA!' she thought, 'That's got to stop this instant!'

After shaking herself from her odd thoughts, another thing dawned on her. It was silent around her. Not just inside the quarters, but she couldn't hear anything outside either. After having been a mother for several years, Bilba had learned one very important rule. Silence isn't bliss, its suspicious. That was no different for these dwarves. She rose from her bed roll and, with the coat in hand, wandered out to the patio. She looked around and saw empty glasses and plates all grouped together by some makeshift seats.

'Okay they were here. Where the hell did they go?'

A set of running footsteps approaching caught her ear. Trouble? The dwarves? Both? Probably. She was surprised however when a small child turned the corner, the owner of the footsteps. His shoulder length mousey brown hair bounced behind him as he sped toward her.

"Hide me!" he squealed as he dived to the ground behind her.

Before she could even react, two adult elves came around the corner. They seemed to be twins, both having dark brown hair and eyes of a deep sapphire. One man wore a gold tunic while the other wore a green one. They looked around as they ran with desperate eyes, searching for whatever they had lost. One spotted her and ran to her, skidding to a stop.

"Pardon me, have you seen a small child about yay high," he gestured to just above his knee, " goes by the name Estel?"

"I…I'm sorry, I haven't." she stuttered.

He nodded and continued on running with his brother calling,

"Estel?! Estel, here boy!" and proceeded to whistle for him.

"He's not a pet stupid!" the other shouted, smacking his brother upside the head before disappearing.

"Alright little one," she sighed, "They're gone."

The child moved from behind her and smirked after the two elves. His pale eyes shone with glee and triumph.

"Thanks a bunch lady." He cheered.

"May I ask who they were?"

"Those two? My brothers, Elladan and Elrohir."

"Why were you hiding from them?"

"They wanted me to bathe! I don't want to take a bath! It's more fun being dirty!"

"But you must bathe. Don't you want all the girls to like you?"

"EWWW! Girls have cooties! 'Cept for my sister. She's cool."

"Why don't I take you to her then? She wont make you take a bath."

"Okay! My names Estel! What's yours?"

"My name is Bilba."

"Okay Lady Bilba, let's go!"

And with that, she took the small child's hand and they walked. They deliberately dodged the twins that were looking for him, causing Estel to giggle. He was so full of life and happiness, it made Bilba want to keep him for herself. A small, selfish part of her hoped it took forever to find his sister.

They rounded a corner and Bilbas jaw hit the floor. Before her was a large fountain made of beautiful stone that connected from what looked to be a river in which water constantly rushed from. That's not what caused her reaction though. No, it was the eleven naked dwarves playing in it that caught her attention. Some were lounging in a spring like area , some were rushing in with the river, a grouping of them were playing chicken three dwarves high in the center.

'What the hell is going on with my life?!' she thought.

"I want to play!" Estel shouted, running toward the dwarves.

"You have GOT to be KIDDING ME!" she sighed before stomping after the child.

She got there right while Estel was calling if he could play. The dwarves seemed amused by the child and laughed and rough housed some more. All of them too busy to notice the approaching woman.

"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU ALL THINK YOU'RE DOING?!" she shouted.

Instantly all eyes were on her. The two towers of dwarves tumbled to the water, trying to cover themselves. She was bristling at them, obviously pissed off.

"Miss Bilba!" Kili called, "You're awake!"

"Yes, now what are you doing?! Have some bloody respect! Put your damn clothes on, all of you!"

"Calm yourself Halfling. We are bathing." Thorin stated.

'Oh Uncle,' Kili thought to himself, 'You really must learn when to stifle yourself.'

"EXCUSE ME?! BATHING?! THIS ISNT BATHING, THIS IS A COMPLETE LACK OF RESPECT FOR YOUR HOST!"

"It's a bit of fun, not like you'd know what that is…" Thorin grumbled.

All the others could see the downward spiral this was going. By Thorins comment, they all seemed to inwardly wince. This was going to get bad. Fast.

"YOURE SUPPOSED TO BE A KING FOR GODS SAKE! GAIN SOME SENSE YOU BLOODY HALFWIT!"

"NOW LOOK HERE!" Thorin roared, leaving the fountain to stand before her, " I WILL NOT BE BELITTLED BEFORE A CHILD OR MY MEN!"

"Thorin for gods sake, cover yourself!" Balin shouted.

"IT'S FINE BALIN." She hollered back, turn her dagger eyes at Thorin, "Nothing I haven't seen before and it is NOTHING impressive!"

The others didn't speak. Dwalin was biting his fist as not to burst into laughter. Kili was white as a sheet, this had not gone as planned. She turned back to the others.

"Now the rest of you, get dressed!" She turned to the child and took his hand, "Come little one, let's return you home."

"Okay..." Estel giggled, as he waved to the dwarves, "Goodbye!"
