SNEAK PEEK: It has been eighteen years since the gang broke up. They've grown up, started their own families. Sure, they keep in touch, but not like they used to. The Birdkids are not like they used to be. There's a new generation, one brought into a world of hatred. The government is starting to side with the people. The mutants are being suppressed; they are being exterminated. More go missing every day, but officials do nothing. Laws don't apply to mutants like they do most citizens. Some of their rights are being stolen. Medical attention, education, and money is hard to come by for most of the former experiments. Yes, The Schools are gone, but now new threats threaten to deminish any recombinant without "pure" DNA. The Avian-Americans find themselves hiding, yet for the time being they're safe, or so they think. When things take a nose-dive to destruction, what will the next generation do? Can they save themselves and their fellow mutants, or will humans get what they want and deminish their uniqueness?

Rebel is one of these rescued "freaks". He was a lucky one, being put under the care of Kale and Gwen, yet he has faced his hardships. He has seen the ugliness and evil in the world. Rebel struggles to understand himself, and his history, but he knows one thing for sure: to survive you have to kill. Ava and Eva are the Epic, they're supposed to save the world, but they can't do it alone. Rebel finds himself telling his story, and with it comes hard reality. With it you learn that death is the easy way out, and that family is more than love, it's life.
