Harry and Angela walked down the main street of Forks, enjoying the nostalgic feeling as they walked through the town that had allowed them to meet. Angela had grown up in the small town with her father and mother in the town and had loved it, even when she moved away to South Carolina for school. It wasn't really a normal school however, since it was founded by the wizarding world and was focused on finding muggles who knew of the magical world, but would help with think tanks to invent new items to make life easier.
Unfortunately, it was the only one in the country since they had only recently started it and it was an experimental endeavor. Her father, a squib, had ultimately acquiesced and gave her permission since her mother had been ecstatic when she had heard the news that she was accepted. Both parents were sad to hear that their daughter had to move so far away.
The surprise came however, when Harry walked in with her. The eyes of both of Angel's parents widened comically as they realized the war hero from Britain that was getting so much press even in America was standing in their living room. While he wasn't as famous in America as he is in Britain, they knew his name, his achievements and the awards the ICW had given to him for his services to the world. The war had spread far beyond Britain than was first thought. Harry had been the one to personally spearhead the training for people in other countries after it was shown how much the trainees improved under his tutelage. Because of this, it wasn't just Britain who had a first hand experience of his talents, but many countries throughout Europe and the surrounding countries.
Once her parents got over the shock of having one of the most powerful mages in their house, the four were able to settle in to decently comfortable conversation for a couple hours.
Arrangements were made for Angela and she decided to make the trip over to South Carolina a few months before the school started up to get settled in and find a part time job since the school would require so much of her time with the hands on training. Harry let the two parents know that he would look out for her while the pair was there.
A few days following that, Harry and Angela were boarding a plane, their belongings shrunk down and in Harry's pocket with them charmed to pass through security without any trouble. The flight was enjoyable since Harry had put up a charm to keep their conversation private and allowed them to speak of anything they wanted. The pair got to know each other better during the flight and both were interested to see what life would be like in South Carolina.
Harry, taking the advice of his commanding superiors, took a vacation for an undetermined length of time and let them know where he was on the small chance of there being an issue that arose in Britain that they couldn't handle.
Five years passed easily enough, Harry and Angela had started dating two years after moving to South Carolina after they felt like they got to know each other well enough. Now, Harry was working on deciding how he wanted to propose to the girl he had grown to love more than anything in the world. Angela had been brought on full time to the think tank, one of only five that was chosen from her class of nearly sixty prospective workers. Harry had stepped in alongside the company and began working to help them go international with their products, helping them expand to some of the countries he had been able to help in during and after the war.
Harry ultimately decided to propose on Halloween night during the start of their third year together as a couple. The bad luck curse that had seemed to follow Harry all through his life on the dreadful night must have been broken as Angela had gladly and passionately agreed.
The wedding was held at the start of the New Year in South Carolina. Angela's parents and friends were disheartened that they had to travel so far, but Harry paid fully for the travel and stay expenses for the family, and offered to pay at least half for most of the friends that she invited from Forks. Harry had made a large amount from the American company with all of his help and getting them into contact with the people they needed. The company had expanded exponentially, and most of it was because Harry was working alongside them, helping them move forward.
The next twenty years after that was interesting for the pair. Harry had told Angela about his status as the Master of Death, and what that entailed. The issue was that he would continue living, unchanged for the rest of his existence, but he wasn't sure how the two of them being married would affect that. Harry wasn't worried about himself becoming mortal, he was worried about what changes would happen to Angela for being married to the one chosen by Death to rule over different things for it. He doubted she would die prematurely or something strange happen to her because of it, no he was worried that she would become immortal and hate him for it.
No one really wants to live forever while watching their friends and family die around them. It also was not enjoyable to have to cut ties with people to keep your secret safe that you weren't aging. He knew the Cullens faced the same issue. The twenty years were interesting however, because Harry realized Angela had been changed with her marriage to him because she had stopped aging, the same as he had. Because of this, and to try to keep as much normality in their lives as possible, Harry began working tirelessly but secretly on runes and arithmancy that could be put on a bracelet.
At the end of the twenty years, he had it completed. Harry was supposed to be nearing 45 years old, Angela nearing 43 but they had both looked to be no older than mid twenties at most. While this was not too uncommon in the magical world, Angela hadn't been able to spend extended time with her parents since she didn't want to scare them. They knew of the magical world, but it had never really affected them this closely to home. Harry had been able to cast a few charms over the pair of them to hide their youthful appearance during the visits, but they had to be reapplied frequently, or else they faded and destroyed the ruse.
Harry kept the bracelet's completion a secret from everyone but Angela, since she would also be wearing one. While it was exceedingly useful for him and Angela, it could be greatly misused by others with far less honorable purposes. With the bracelet being finished, Harry and Angela moved back to Washington, where a sub company had sprung up of the one they had been working with for so long. They didn't really need to work since the Potter fortune was already massive, which Harry had only added to, but they enjoyed the work they had found there. There was something in the air from it raining so much that the wizards and witches of North America were dying to get ahold of. The leaders of the company Harry and Angela had been working for during the past 25 years were very benevolent and were constantly looking for ways to make life better for everyone, which included muggles in their eyes.
It was for this reason that they were looking to harness whatever it was that had been found in the air around Forks, Washington and a few other exceedingly wet areas in America. They understood science and why it rained, but it was that understanding that pushed them to the realization that more was happening than just evaporation, condensation, and precipitation.
Angela was sad that the Cullens were no longer in the area, since she knew what they were fully and had more things that she could talk to them about. Last Harry had heard they were overseas visiting some old friends and taking a break from blending in with humans for a while. They were still holding strong to only eating animals and Harry was simply stunned at their resilience.
The Denali clan had dropped in on them once after Harry and Angela had moved back to Forks and had been surprised at how the pair had aged. Angela had wanted to remove their bracelets to show the vampires their true appearance, but Harry convinced her it would be hilarious to keep it a secret and surprise them in another century or so with a surprise visit of their own. Harry was happy to see that all of the Denali sisters had found their mates and Garrett and Kate brought a great amount of amusement to the visit with their slightly exuberant personalities.
Angela's parents passed on within a few months of each other nearly 16 years later. After settling things as far as their belongings went, the pair packed most of their things into one of the expanded trunks Harry had and began moving throughout many different countries. The magical world as a whole was very accommodating for Harry, and by extension, Angela; meaning they could easily get into any countries they wanted to and stay there as long as they desired. After traveling for nearly 60 years, they had stopped in most of the countries around the world and both had learned a good deal more about various subjects of the world. Harry had finally mastered most areas of magic, still excluding Potions and Herbology since neither had been subjects he was expressly interested in during or after school. He had run out of other things to really learn with the other subjects, he had reached the point where it was mostly just experimenting and toying with the 'borders' of each subject.
Age wise, the pair were approaching eighty years old, but they both still had the physical appearance of a twenty something in their base form. Harry and Angela had been forced to change their names and appearance every once in a while, since they normally kept to a younger age. They still had their investments in the American company that invented things, sending in new inventions for the company to approve and pay them for.
The project they had been working on came to fruition, though not quite in the manner the company had hoped. In the end, however, the results were for the best. The presence in the nigh on continually rainy atmosphere over Washington was broken down and some magical engineers were able to find a way to reproduce the weather climate. A group of experimenters took the needed requirements to the desert and worked to reproduce the rainy climate in the most inhospitable conditions. The results were warded away from muggles and wizards however since they turned out to be so violent at first. Wizards and witches with the company spent the next five years, tweaking the magic and natural materials within the ward line until they were able to create a massive natural reserve for animals, magical and non-magical alike that were going extinct.
Harry chuckled as he stepped into Forks. The people here acted much like their ancestors, some were very welcoming, others didn't care, but the students in high school were always curious. Harry and Angela had decided to enjoy their three hundredth anniversary year back in Forks, Washington. What was unexpected was to see the Cullen and Hale families there as well. Of course, Harry and Angela had adjusted their appearance from before so they went unrecognized for some time.
The pair of perfectly aged 'teens' spent four years alongside the Cullens and Hales, none of their group even suspecting the presence of two old friends. Jacob had joined the family, as had a couple other vampires with their mates. Harry was happy to see that the vegetarian family was still as close knit as ever.
It was nearing the end of Harry, Angela, Alice, Edward, Nessie, and Jacob's senior year when things were split wide open. Rosalie, Emmett and Jasper had already graduated from Forks, with the newer siblings in their freshman and sophomore years. Harry had been following events outside of the mundane world, the political climate was always shifting with more people becoming casually aware of Vampires and magic. It had been a decision that was reached after all non-humans and magical beings came together at SIS (Supernatural International Summit) for its annual meeting. The decision had not been made lightly, but only after a few decades of subtle workings to show more of the hidden societies to the mundane world.
Most things had been accepted without any excess of retaliation or disgust, so things were progressing as well as could be hoped for. The Volturi, however, had been more…expressive in their openness. Volterra had become a vampires-only city that was slowly becoming recognized worldwide as such. Things were progressing at a much faster pace on that front than had been agreed upon. The compounding issue that added on top of this problem was the Volturi had finally decided to make their move to obtain a few more gifted vampires. Harry figured the Cullens knew as much, but decided to drop by to leave a warning with them anyways and to let them know they would have support.
Harry stepped out of his car and walked up towards the house, the same one the Cullen family had stayed in last time. Once more, he was met before he even reached the porch by a vampire. It was a girl by the name of Bree, if his memory from short interactions with the 'sophomore' was correct.
"Bree, I'm very sorry to drop in on you all so randomly, but I was wondering if Alice and Carlisle were in?" Harry asked kindly.
Bree looked back to the house and Harry could hear the very light conversation that ensued inside the house. There was confusion at his arrival, which had gone unseen by Alice, Edward's frustration at not being able to hear anything, and the wonder at such a seemingly random person finding their home.
"It is a matter of upmost importance. I have had contact from some friends who were telling me some potentially worrying information of three friends of Carlisle's from Italy…" He allowed his words to trail off as Bree's eyes grew wider and she shifted backwards slightly into a crouch. Harry quickly raised his hands in a placating gesture. "I swear to you that I mean you, nor your family any harm, but I bring grave news of those who are."
Bree's eyes showed signs of worry and mistrust, but also of confusion. Harry glanced behind her to see Edward coming out of the house. "Ahh, Eddie, I thought I felt you poking around. The years have treated you well enough I suppose, though you still haven't mastered the study of your hair yet, have you…" Harry said mockingly and he could easily hear Emmett's laugh from inside the house.
"How is the little pixie you call a sister and the thermometer she calls a mate? I can tell Emmett still laughs as the thunder and Rosalie's hits to the back of his head still like lightening." Harry stated as Edward's eyebrows moved inwards.
"I'm hurt. Is your mind going after all these years? I thought you vampires had better memory than this." Harry continued when it looked like Edward was trying to work out the problem in his head and was having as much luck as solving world hunger with a few dollar bills.
A blur shot out of the house and he found himself underneath and in the arms of a small, short-haired ball of energy, followed closely by a young woman with bronze hair and brown eyes. Harry chuckled, "Good thing I didn't bring my wife with me, she has picked up a few moves that would put you both on the ground." He gave them both a hug before receiving their help up once they climbed off of him.
Edward continued to look at Harry in confusion, though suspicion was creeping into his eyes slowly. Harry paid him little mind as he focused on two of the girls he had missed most from the family. "Alice, Nes, how are you girls doing? I've missed you both!"
"We are doing well enough, still staying strong to animals, and as you've seen, over the past few years, our family has grown. Why didn't you tell us sooner? We would have invited you over! It has been too long since we got to hang out" Alice stated and Harry was on the receiving end of a pair of swats to either arm from the girls.
Edward had hissed for a second when Alice spoke and then calmed more as her mind released the information of just who was standing in front of him. "There is no way." He said with a light chuckle and a tinge of mirth to his voice.
"When is Angela coming over? She is still coming over right? She is the girl that you hang out with all the time right? Corrie is the name she is using right now?" Renesmee rattled off quickly.
Harry could hear the light steps of multiple feet from the house and looked up as he answered the questions being flung at him by his favorite niece. The original Cullens stepped out of the door quickly and made their way over to him. Harry smiled charmingly at them before finally letting his charms fall off and reveal his unchanged form. The Cullens moved over to him quickly and gathered around.
The group had begun talking over each other to get in their questions until Carlisle called them to silence and introduced him officially to the new family members. He spent the next couple hours talking to them about what his life had been like during the three centuries that had passed since they last saw each other. He explained some of how he was able to still be alive and looking so young but he finally had to cut off their questions.
"Listen, I wasn't sure if you all had heard or not, but the Volturi is looking to come out here to finish what they started. They have had people secretly gathering information on you and have been skewing it to the rest of the Vampire community and the international committee of supernatural beings. I just found out the full extent of it today and wanted you all to be prepared. I don't even think you will be able to do what you did last time since they have been dragging your name through the dirt continually. This will come to a fight and there is nothing we can do to divert it from that." Harry gave a sigh as he dropped the bomb on the group of vampires that he had come to see as family from their first meeting.
"I have some contacts and my true name still carries some weight if I can prove that I really am who I claim to be. That wont be an issue, but I think that even after some of the officials leave, there will be a struggle for the gifts you have amassed here. Three of the vampires you have added to your family have gifts correct? I thought I had felt them when we first moved in." Harry received nods in response.
Letting out another sigh he continued, "Very well, I will subtly contact some friends of mine and ask them to bring some of their fighting force that could stay behind to help. I have a few old friends who I taught to fight for some of the other wars that have popped up here and there around the globe in the wizarding world. They will be a major asset to the fight and should keep things even if not tip them in our favor. Call up the friends you can, but I would suggest not travelling around like you did last time. If there are some you simply cannot contact without it being face to face, let me know and I will accompany you."
Carlisle nodded in return and shook his head, "I had hoped that since they left us alone for so long that they would drop it. I guess not though. We will do as you suggest, and make quiet preparations. Do you know how they were able to make such decisions without Alice knowing of them?"
Harry shook his head, "You're guess is as good as mine, which likely means you think they found someone with a gift that could block her visions, or they found a way around it, much like Victoria had. I have taken too much of your time bringing bad news. I must return to Angela tonight though so that she knows I am safe. I will be sure to bring her on my next visit as she has been dying to see you all again. Have a good evening." Harry stated with a bow before turning in place. The car he had been standing next to disappeared as well surprisingly and the Cullens that had known him before wondered where he had picked that trick up.
Angela and Harry were extremely excited to get back over to meet with the Cullen family, even with the warnings of danger looming over their heads. They knew things would work out since they had enough time to plan. It was likely the reason the Volturi had waited for so long; to have a buffer that would block out the Cullen's ability to see what was happening and then plan for it.
Harry had already sent out a few feelers to the acquaintances he had and would begin visiting them over the next few weeks. Right now, however, he and Angela were making their way into the house full of vampires and sat down in the living room. Greetings had gone around and Harry and Angela settled in to talk with the family. Angela and Bella caught up with Alice slightly off to the side of them, listening and commenting as she wanted.
Harry was boisterously talking with Emmet, Jacob and Nes, while Rose sat behind Emmett on the top of the couch and Bree and her mate Dorrel sat a short distance away, watching the by-play between their family and Harry, laughing at their antics. Vampire or not, Emmett would likely be bruised from the hits Rose gave him for certain comments.
The night was spent in a relaxing manner and was enjoyed by all of them, the groups that were split up for talking in moving around the room to mingle with others.
Nearly a year passed, the Cullens and Harry and Angela had moved deeper into the forests in the heart of Washington since there would be so many Vampires and other dangerous beasts that would be traveling to the 'trial' of the Cullens for their supposed heinous acts. Then one day, it came. Harry had been getting reports from friends and contacts that the committee was moving and to be prepared, but he was still caught off guard slightly at the abrupt announcement from one of his close friends in the committee that they were on their way and should arrive within a few hours.
Harry prepped the Cullens and they travelled to a clearing that Harry had made. He placed wards that boxed around them for nearly three hundred yards in length and width. Nothing could pass through without his express permission and the only ones to gain that privilege were those that he knew, without any doubt, stood on their side.
They stood towards the front of the box of wards to make sure they couldn't be flanked without knowing it. The wolves had once again joined in to stand with the Cullen family and Harry noticed that there were, once again, more than previously. Thankfully, however, these wolves had been trained, since Jacob's return; still considered to be the Alpha of the Quileute tribe and holding 300 years of experience under his belt. When it came to a fight, and there was no way the Volturi would leave this time without attacking, they would be quite well off with things.
The trial put Harry in mind of his own trial for the underage use of magic in front of a muggle, his cousin-as self-defense from dementors. In other words, it was an absolute farce and as everything came together, even some of those who had been brought to agree with the charges and rule on the trial saw how misconstrued everything that had been offered as 'evidence' truly was. Harry smirked as the Volturi lost a massive amount of the high reputation they had previously held because of the information that was brought forth. Harry didn't even have to fully reveal himself, though the ones who came to judge the Cullen family knew that he was a wizard.
In the end, the trial was exactly what Harry had expected it to be, an absolute flop and not really worth the time or work the people put into it to get it set up. Harry watched as the majority walked away and felt as some rejoined them from behind as they moved inside his wards. He had talked through the plan with the Cullens so they would know where the extra vampires and guests were coming from.
The Volturi made to leave, but Harry, Angela and the Cullens stuck around for when they would come back. Harry had made a friend during his travels that had been working for the Volturi for a few years but lost interest in the lifestyle. He and his mate had decided that this would be the best time to make their dissention known to the Volturi. Many others joined the group that would stand against the Volturi and the planned secret attack. Before Harry's friend had left from the Volturi's grouping, he had heard that the attack was still on.
Harry could feel as multiple people tried to access the ward line but were pushed back. As he felt more and more testing them, he activated the previously passive intent ward that attached to the boundary of the ward line. From there, the latent defenses activated as persons with ill intent tried to get through the wards and he felt as they flared defensively to take out the attacking vampires. The numbers rushing to the ward line slowed as they likely saw what was happening to the vampires in front of them so he let the matter move from his mind.
Harry looked over to Carlisle. "They started their attack, but we are safe for now. They tried to flank us and attack from behind and the sides. I would say they lost nearly twenty fighters or so one or two are still being killed. I can feel another grouping ahead of us, but they have not moved back towards us yet. They are probably letting the vampires they consider cannon fodder to come and get us into chaos before trying to finish they rest off."
The group waited for a little longer before Harry gave everyone a heads up that the main force was moving in, likely thinking the Cullens and their friends would be in disarray from the 'unknown' attack from behind. A smirk fell onto Harry's face as the others chuckled. "Looked at that face, that is a priceless face. I don't think he knows what to do." Emmett said as Aro apparently came into view.
Some of the group standing with Harry began to inch forward but Harry dissuaded them quietly since he hadn't allowed the wards to fall and he didn't want to take any chances. The forces behind and to the sides had dwindled to ten total and they didn't seem to be testing his wards anymore with their bodies. He could feel different attacks going against the wards, but nothing was penetrating it.
"Everyone ready?" Harry asked softly. He received nods in response and he took a breath, "Very well, let's begin. Don't be stupid, we are about even with numbers and Bella should have a strong enough grasp on her shield to keep anything too debilitating from affecting you. The wards come down in three… two… one…" Harry dropped the wards shortly after one and pulled a shrunken broom from his pocket and climbed aboard. He would have a better chance helping the fighters on their side if he was in the air and could 'see' everything. He slipped on a bracelet that had multiple runes written in on it and poured some raw magic into them. Wards sprung up around just his body and he climbed fifty feet into the air.
He closed his eyes and sent out his senses. While his eyes could not take in all of the movements or status of the vampires he would be helping, his mind could process everything he needed as his magic registered it. By relying completely on his magical senses, he could react nearly as fast as a vampire moves. He turned his focus at first to the ten vampires that stood behind them. He decided that it would be easiest if he just immobilized them and then gave them an option of life or death after it was all over with. He rocketed on his broom to the three separate clusters and quickly sent a widespread, overpowered stunner at the groupings.
With that accomplished, he moved back towards the main battle staging area and found that while the Volturi hadn't moved, his vampiric family had moved forward slightly. Bella had a mad smile on her face with her eyes wide as she openly mocked the Volturi's attempts to attack the 'rebellious' group mentally with Alec and Jane's powers.
Harry settled in to watch. He had made a number of potions that acted like a plasma grenade would, exploding outward with fire and spreading quickly to the immediate area., but he figured that would make things too easy, though he did lob one loosely towards the wives that had joined off to the side of the main fighting force. He had met the Volturi twice since last meeting the Cullens and had found the wives to be despicable beings. They were the Succubus' that so many stories spoke of in old times, but their crimes went so much further than those stories told. Harry shuddered as the information traveled through his mind and he once more tried to purge it from his memory.
As expected, the 'death' of the wives went quickly and enraged the Volturi members that stood to the side. The force before the Cullens had now shrunk to a manageable number of twenty. The Cullens alone now had nearly fifteen people alone, and then you added in the wolves of La Push and the friends that had come to join the Cullens, whether from around the world or from the Volturi. Harry cast out his senses and found that there were no more vampires in the area aside from the ones that were seen. He dropped back to the ground and began working over a rune stone he had brought incase things ended up going like this. He smiled as those standing around him moved forward, even as the Volturi finally began their charge. He finished the incantation and forced magic into the rune stone. He had set up a ward to contain any who tried to leave. The Volturi leaders would likely see it was a hopeless fight and try to run, but he had ensured they would not be able to.
It was, simply put, a massacre. The Volturi's gifts were made ineffective with Bella's shield and the training put in on the Cullen's side showed through very quickly as they were able to move through the red and black cloaked Volturi like water. As the Cullens and crew flowed through the fighters, they left behind a trail of decimated bodies. As Aro, Caius, looked around they noticed that Marcus had already fallen. Deciding to cut their loses, they called their forces into retreat and Harry gave a wide smirk and gave chase. He couldn't keep up with them on foot so he once more jumped on his broom and began to chase them down from the skies.
He fired into their midst with wide range spells that would cause fire or explosions to spring up with little to no warning, catching the fleeing vampires within its area of effect. There were a number of friendly vampires who followed along the side, outside of the danger zone, and picked off the few that tried to split away from the main group of vampires who were running away.
It only took the pursuing group a couple minutes to wipe out the last few vampires, saving Aro for Carlisle himself. Carlisle had respected Aro and his three brothers from the time he had spent with them in Volterra, but he had reached his limits of thinly veiled threats and attempted attacks. The 'Father' of the Cullen clan viciously removed Aro's head and personally set flames to the ancient's body.
Harry smiled warmly at his grown 'niece'. The Cullens had warmly accepted Harry back into their home once again as the fighting finished off and was 'kindly persuaded' by Alice and Nes to reveal exactly how he and Angela were still alive. He had explained some to them, but the pair of girls were digging for the full truth. Harry chuckled at the pair and settled in for the explanation of his position as the Master of Death.
Within a few days of the end of the attack, Harry and Angela decided they should settle in for a while with the Cullens. Their life had been enjoyable with just the two of them, but they desired to have more interaction with those they considered family. They would likely move on for a little while in a few centuries and then double back to spend more time with the Cullens again, but they would never forget that their home was with the vampiric family. A fact they were constantly reminded of by all of the Cullen family members. More than likely they would be adding to the Cullen Clan in their own way in a few years. Harry was surprised it hadn't happened yet, actually.

You all requested it, so I figured I could try and close it out. Hopefully I did the ending justice. Some had reviewed that they wanted to see Harry actually fight the Volturi, and for some reason after reading the Twilight Saga, I didn't think the Volturi would let a sleeping dog lie, especially when they dog had so much potential. They would surely be back once they thought they had enough strength. I wanted to show just how much stronger Harry was than them and how easily he could wipe them out. Give the guy credit, he fought alongside some and against even more from this universes timeline. He would know their weaknesses and strengths and be able to combat them, especially after his first major run in with the Volturi. I'll shut up now, hope you all enjoyed the follow-up to the One-shot. Thank you for reading and may you find other happy stories as you read more!
