It All Started with a Love Song: The Epilogue

"Once upon a time,

I believe it was a Tuesday when I caught your eye

And we caught onto something

I hold onto the night,

You looked me in the eye

And told me you loved me"

- Forever and Always, Taylor Swift.

Annabeth snuggled closer to Percy's chest as they laid on the couch of his little apartment. A week had passed since the accident of Luke and Rachel, and even if she'd broken up recently with him, and the nightmare of her life showed up, Annabeth's never been happier.

Hearing Percy's heartbeats had a calming effect over her, as the TV played in front of them.

Annabeth liked to recall with a smile the events of the latest week. She and Percy had been together every time, and they had quickly finished their love song, both of them putting their own touch to it. Gwen didn't do anything else, much to Annabeth's joy.

She remembered her talk with Piper about her fake-dating Jason, and how her friend had blushed and was an embarrassed mess as Annabeth questioned her. But at the end, Piper finally admitted that she may or may not started to fall for the younger Grace. She even said that the 'fake' of their relationship was slowly vanishing.

She looked a lot happier. When Annabeth asked her why, Piper only told her she had solved past problems.

Me too, Annabeth had wanted to confess herself. But she didn't, and neither did Piper explain why.

Thalia too, looked happier. Percy told her Nico broke up with his girlfriend and that he may make a move on Thalia sooner or later. Annabeth was glad, it seemed her friend's newfound feelings were reciprocated.

"Annabeth," Percy said. His voice was sweet.

Even if they weren't officially dating again, Annabeth couldn't help but fall in love over and over again with him.

"Yes?"

"I love you."

Annabeth's breath sucked in. She hadn't heard those words come from his mouth on such a long time, it brought tears to her eyes. Why would he pick a moment and a place like that, she didn't know. Percy was one to be spontaneous.

"Me too." Annabeth said quietly, holding back the wave of emotions overwhelming her. "I love you."

"Don't cry," Percy smiled at her, caressing her blonde curls. "You shouldn't. You know I hate to see you cry."

Annabeth pouted. "Then stop."

"Stop what?" he asked, the corner of his lips playfully turning upwards.

Annabeth rolled and hid her face against his chest. "You're actually being sweet."

"Am I?"

"Stop asking questions, moron."

"Why?"

"Percy."

"Okay, sorry."

"Hey, Annabeth."

"Yes?"

"Will you marry me?"

"Yes."

Five years later…

"Mommy, mommy!" little Lucy sang, running towards the kitchen of her house, her blonde curls flying along the wind.

"What happened?" Annabeth asked, scrunching down to the little four years old.

"I have a question," Lucy said, with little difficulties. She'd inherited her mother's intelligence.

"Yes?"

"How did you and Daddy met?"

Taken aback by the sudden question, Annabeth smiled and picked up her daughter, holding her close to her chest, her little legs around her hips. Annabeth carried her towards the comfy couch she'd bought after finalizing her new house.

Her new house with Percy, after they got married. Home.

"It's a very long story," Annabeth started, laying down with her daughter at her side. Lucy's big, green eyes lit up at the mention of a story. Oh how did she love them every night.

"Great!" Lucy exclaimed.

"But," Annabeth said. "Your dad has another point of view of it, too. Percy!" she called.

They waited for a moment, hearing heavy footsteps coming downstairs. And soon, her husband watched them with a lovely grin on his face.

"Did you put Alex to sleep?" Annabeth asked. This day was Percy's turn to put their little baby ready to take on of her naps.

"Everything's good," he said, throwing himself on the couch, at the other side of Lucy. He kissed both of their foreheads. "What happened?"

Annabeth bit her lip as she eyed him -he always managed to take her breath away, even if it was with just one glance, one word, one smile. Even after five years of being married, with their spontaneous yet perfect wedding, he made her stomach do flip flops and her heart to beat too fast and her cheeks to heat up.

Thalia, engaged with Nico, was living a happy life too.

Piper was also waiting a little boy with Jason at her side, and both of them were living on their own dream.

Leo had found a girl named Calypso between his fans, and oh how he had fallen in love at first sight. Everyone was happy for him.

Reyna was still single, and even if she said she prefered it that way, Annabeth suspected it wasn't really that way.

"I want to know how did you meet Mommy," Lucy said, trapped in her dad's embrace.

Percy tickled her little stomach, gaining hysterical giggles from her. Annabeth rolled her grey eyes and smacked his hand away, letting the poor child breath again.

"Another story?" Percy asked.

"Yay!" Lucy cheered. Her green eyes shifted between them, waiting until one of them finally spoke.

Annabeth sighed, "Well, it's a very, very long story,"

"I don't care!" Lucy said.

"Are you sure?" Percy asked.

"Yes! Please!"

"Ah well," Annabeth gave up. "We still have plenty of time before Silena arrives with Beckendorf and their kids."

"Guess so," Percy agreed.

Then he looked up at her, locking eyes. He expected her to start the story time, like always.

He always said she was the best when it came to talk.

Annabeth sighed again, a melancholic smile slowly spreading on her sweet lips, as her eyes drifted back to the summer camp, the campfire and the karaoke, and the little boy with black hair and green eyes standing next to her since the crowd had pushed them both into the stage.

How he smiled sheepishly at her when the music started to play, unconsciously giving her the courage to take the step and sing along. And oh, what a beautiful song had it been.

"Well Lucy," Annabeth started, "Back there, it all started with a love song…"

A/N= Ah well, I'm awful. Originally, I planned to make the story a little longer and explain things better, but then I realized I had no motivation nor time to continue it and decided to end it with a fluffy end, since I reread the story and noticed it was full of angst. I deleted my Tumblr. Anything you want to know, send me a PM. Anyways, I know there were a lot of things unsaid, and I beg for your forgiveness. Thank you so much for sticking with me all this time, and it finally came to an end. There are no words to describe how much I loved all of you.

Thank you.
