"Kyoko..." Koun spoke softly as yet another lot off astounded (at Kuons reveal) well wishers (for the wonderful couple) stepped away talking gayley about what a wonderful time this had been. Kyoko turned to him her eyes shining if anything even brighter than before, she was giving him her entire and unwavering attention with just those eyes as their nearest and dearest friends enclosed around them, Kanae and Chiori led by their own nearest and dearest.
"We... well I have one more final gift for you tonight." Lorys smiled and Kuu clapped Taisho on the back in excitement as they all watched on. Julie stepped aside showing Yui standing their with a cylindrical cardboard container which she passed to Kuon, who in turn passed it to Kyoko who simply looked at him confused.
"Open it love, or did you think making you love me and thinking up 'my lame my real name is' speech took all this time?" when Yashiro and a few others openly laughed he couldn't help but chuckle himself.
"Ok scratch the making you love me part." Kyoko smiled but obeying popped off the plastic top and slowly pulled out the large scrolls of white and blue paper with pencil and ink drawings on.
"What are these?" she asked confused and a table was brought forwards by sebastian and laid out before Kyoko as Chiori and Kanae assisted her at holding the paper out flat.
"Their blueprints." Kuon added unhelpfully as Kanae glared at him.
"Well done for pointing out the obvious." she stated as everyone including Kyoko laughed. "well their blueprints for our new home." the world still for Kyoko as she looked from the drawings she had been studying so minutely to Kuon.
"Our new home? you actually want to build this?" Kyoko asked completely shocked.
"Not build this Kyoko..." Kanae said as she too looked up from the drawings towards Kyoko and then towards the house they had got ready in. "..it's already been built." It was Yui who spoke first after that.
"Welcome to the fairy kingdom Kyoko." Kuon could see the tears once more threatening to fall as he stepped forwards and slowly swiped the first of her cheek.
"Welcome home my love." for the next half an hour they all chatted about how Yui was actually an architect and this had been all part of Kuon's big plan! yet Kyoko seemed distant and everyone was noticing that she was elsewhere in her mind as she looked around the beautiful fairy garden that had been made specially for her, the house that Kuon had scouted out had renovated to his specifications with Kyoko and himself in mind this world he had created for them.
"Onee-san?" It was Maria that finally broke the world barrier Kyoko seemed to have slipped behind as she grasped her hand gently "are you okay Onee-san?" it was then that the words slipped from Kyoko's mouth.
"There's something more I want Kuon."
It was a week of drama filled news that week, Kuons real name was released to the world and although some people were... not to happy about his past, the news about his engagement to the peoples golden eyed beauty overshadowed it slightly.
Murasame was trialed and convicted of attempted murder, yet was spared jail when the court heard the psychologist plea of insanity which led to Murasame's lifetime incarceration at the mental institution where with Kuons reluctance and Kyoko's insistence she visited him and asked for his forgiveness while giving him her own as he screamed at her from behind the one way glass.
Yet as the weeks went by, Kuon and Kyoko moved into their new home and the wedding was slowly planned and both Kyoko and Kuon worked hard on a new project with Director Konoe, BJ and the entire project had to be reworked in the sense that Murasame had to be removed entirely from the film and eventually the project simply put on hold and the remaining funds plus a large boost from LME and outside funding decided to scrap the film entirely and 'red ribbon' was created in its place.
The love story of how one little girl captured one little boys heart which would make them connected forever... or that was how Chiori explained it to the furiously crying president Lory and the smiling Konoe when she explained to them the script for the movie she had written herself about two of her best friend's.
It was almost 22 months later when Julie sat twiddling her thumbs in her son and very soon to be daughter in laws conservatory looking over Kyoko's fairy garden which she was positively sure was cared for more than the emperors itself with how much time Kyoko spent outside working on it when she had time off work.
"You keep twiddling your thumbs like that and you'll wear them away." Kuu said smiling from the kitchen which had to be Kyoko's second favourite place on earth and Kuu's first
"And you can keep looking at the clock as much as you want and it will not tick any faster." Kuu smiled as he sat beside his beautiful wife and pulled her lovingly into his arms.
"This is really happening isn't it?" Kuu asked as Julie hugged him tightly and breathed in his own individual scent which never failed to calm her.
"Yes it's really happening Kuu." Kuu chuckled to himself and Julie looked at him questioningly.
"Our little girl actually asked for something! Kyoko! she actually asked for something and amazingly it was beyond our reach to give her." Kuu said half happily, half exasperated as Julie smiled.
"Ah but it's only the beginning Kuu I'm sure there will be things her big papa bear can be doing for her in the future" Kuu chuckled as Julie patted his small bulge in his stomach that he would swear to anyone his dearest daughter to be had put their while he had been convalescing for two months after he tore a tendon doing a stunt 'in his old age' as Koun had said laughing only to get a clip around the ear from himself and Julie and Kyoko hid laughter.
It was the crunching of tires on gravel that alerted them to the arrival of their two children which sent the two adults clattering through the house at breakneck speed they slowed to a halt at the front door both trying to regain posture they had not felt all day, this was it... this was Kyoko's wish and they couldn't be happier for the girl they really couldn't she was about to change all their lives forever.
Kuu slowly opened the door and both he and Julie excited as gracefully as two excited children would do on christmas day... so no grace at all as you can imagine as two identically giant grins formed on their faces as Kuon held his door open for the very important passenger still clutching her no longer very white big stuffed white rabbit stepped out as Kyoko smiling pulled a large suitcase from the car boot. the little face looked up happily as she chattered away to Kuon who smiled adoringly, yet as she spotted them standing there all thoughts of her conversation were lost as she screamed happily!
"Obasan! Ojisan!" before running across the gravel and into their waiting arms as they both hugged her fiercely.
"welcome home Miu." Kuon said when both he and Kyoko approached smiling happily, it had taken so much time to get to this day, so much heartache and pain when they thought perhaps they would not allowed to be able to adopt Miu or she would be adopted before they would be able to fill out all the correct paperwork and legal obligation.
There had been the times when Miu had been depressed still over her mother (whom it was later told to Koun and Kyoko through the proceedings simply could not care for the child so she was given up for adoption.) Then there had been the days when finally Kyoko's words got through to her and Miu started to bask in the love Kyoko and Kuon gave to her so freely, the days out with supervision. the meets and meals with not only Kyoko and Kuon but also their family and closest friends so Miu could see and meet the people that Kyoko and Kuon would hope she would look upon as family like they themselves did.
Then the day had finally come not to long ago that Kyoko and Koun had asked Miu that very important question. 'Would she like to come away with them and live in their fairy kingdom together and to be their beautiful little fairy princess.' luckily the answer had been a resounding yes and to Kyoko's and Kuon's joy she had started calling them both mama and papa, which then extended to the rest of the family so finally Kyoko's one want had become a reality and later they would be having a party for everyone to celebrate Miu's home coming with her own parents present, They would have also been their when Miu arrived if the Tashio had not said he would like to cook for the evening festivities.
"Mama!" Miu called leaning out from Kuu's chest as she held her arms out to Kyoko who took the small girl without hesitation.
"Am I really home Mama? is this really the fairy kingdom? am I really a fairy princess?"
"You really are home Miu, and you will always be my fairy princess." Kyoko said rubbing her nose against her young daughters as Kuon smiled at the beautiful picture they made together.
"Well done my boy." Kuu said as he clapped his son on the back and Julie whipped the happy tears from her eyes.
"It's all her dad and it all changed the day I started living for her."
FIN.
