chapter 11
Pulling the somewhat dusty white sheets away from the lounge, quickly covered her nose and mouth. Stopping herself, inhaling the dust as the parlouricles flew in the surrounding atmosphere. A light cough and sneezed suddenly. The lounge revealed, stood as it were still new. Folding the sheet over her arm when disturbed by a hand that grasped her shoulder.
Gasped softly and suddenly as she didn't expect the approach. "Oh I'm terribly sorry, ma'am." the servant clasped her hands over eachother as she held them in the centre of her apron and slightly bowed her brow. Tammy had grasped her chest, easing her fast beating heart and breathed lightly as she finally answered.
"I wasn't, expecting anyone to be still here." The servant woman warmly and tenderly smiled. "I've always been the maid of the Connell family." Tammy blinked surprised, as she still processsed all she inherited. Tilted her head alittle to the left, confused. The maid gently took the sheet from tammy's hands and folded then lightly plie bowed.
"I will have the manor speck and span before the evening." Turning on her heel, walked out the room and did as she promised. Tammy tucked the strands of her hair back behind her ear, turned on her heels and glanced the room. Unsure, how and when this was a manor of connell.
Approached the fireplace before her, rose her hand and only her fingertips touched the fire place mantel. As her fingers touched, as it was a soft tender kiss upon the polished timber frame mantel. A strange ingling feeling, had enticed her soul.
Unsure of the feeling as she was still, frozen almost. But still possessed warmth. Looking around the room, as her hand never ceased to release the mantel edge as she witnessed images of what was either past or somewhat fantasy had transparently danced throughout the room.
Her heart fluttered with sheer joy, and felt the beautiful love as it had filled the walls of the room she stood within and nearby the fireplace. But it seemed to be someone she never knew. A woman, standing beside the large red chair. Her hand sat upon the top edge as she smiled. A small child, cried happily whilst holding up the gift she had opened while sitting in the chair.
Tammy watched, and rose her hand to her mouth. Covering her lips softly as she soon realised the small child was her mother. Her beautiful mother, she had lost. The two figures had faded shortly after as tammy was disturbed suddenly.
"Mistress?" the maid called, lightly grasped her shoulder then waited. Glancing back to the maid then to the chair that sat underneath the dusty sheet. At first tammy didn't answer as she was still processing the scene she witnessed. Looking back and forth between the maiden and the sheet covered chair.
"Mistress? Are you alright?" she asked. Shaking her head, and sighed then finally replied. "I'm alright. May I have some tea please, uh. Forgive me, I don't know your name." tammy glanced the maiden softly as she smiled and answered.
"Hermone, ma'am. My name is hermone." Tammy smiled tenderly and requested again. "May I have some tea please, hermone."
"Of course, ma'ma." hermone answered, leaving to get the tea as requested. Standing, hidden in the corridor as she dressed in the maiden attire. Closely watched over tammy as she knew, deep in her soul. She was indeed her descendant. Using the old craft, to disguise herself as human while she hoped to find whomever hunts for her.
Keeping herself silent, and unnoticed from other manor workers to avoid suspicion and sudden danger. Safety was a must, and had to be kept. As the prophecy was coming close. It had been over 10,000 lifetimes. Time to be exact, there was no number to say how long it had been. Waiting, watching and even prayed happiness will arise. And darkness shall fall as karmic punishment will finally be justified. Soft ringing, carried in the winds to the ears of the disguised maiden.
Immediately she knew as she was once foretold of exactly when she finds thee who is prophecised. Her eyes widened, glancing upon tammy standing in the living room by the fireplace. He heart raced then slowened at the same time, immediately knowing. Softly whispered.
"You are the one."
Tammy glanced toward hermone and said confusedly. "Ok, what do you mean by that?" Before hermone could answer, she was distracted for a moment as she stood up and walked to the window. Glancing out to the scenery outside, scouting the perimeter from within. Tammy waited by the fireplace as she asked.
"Something, wrong?"
Hermone kept her back towards tammy as she continued to observed through the window then finally she answered. "Everything is fine, thankyou for the tea. I must go."
Tammy blinked confused, raised her brow and wondered curious who and why this visitor had came and left so quickly.
