It was that time again.

The time when he would leave her again; to stop the world from coming to an end, and fighting all those things that go bump in the night. Haley James could feel it in her bones. And it wouldn't take a genius to figure it out. Well, that's what he would say at least.

She could always tell due to that one phone call that Dean Wincherster would receive during his short homecoming. He'd be home for about a week when he would receive that phone call and then he would be gone for a month. And, so, in that week he was home she would have to cherish having him all in one piece.

He would always call his wife to let her know when he was coming home and boy did that make her heart race. She would always prepare for his homecoming in the simplest ways. It was always the simple things like laying out a piece of homemade apple pie for him when he would come home late and with an appetite.

She'd already be lying in bed by the time he'd come home, but she'd awake to the rustling that would occur in the bathroom as he prepared for bed making her heart skip a beat. And, then, eventually she would feel his weight on the bed as he made his way under the covers. She'd then turn her whole body towards him, putting her head on his chest, taking in his scent.

"I missed you, "she'd say in a sigh and falling back asleep in the warmth and comfort in his embrace.

"I missed you too," He'd say back leaning in to kiss her forehead.

"I love you." She'd almost sigh along with a soft smile.

"I know, " He'd say before holding her more tightly. "And, I love you too."
