I don't own Naruto
Naruto walked slowly, Hinata next to him as he examined the scythe in his hands.
"You okay Naruto?" Hinata asked, looking concerned for her crush.
"Yeah... I'm fine..." Naruto replied, resting the scythe over his shoulders. "I guess even missing nin have decency in them..." Hinata smiled at Naruto.
"Thanks Naruto, you really showed how much you wanted to keep me safe." Hinata said, blushing lightly. Naruto smiled sadly. "I wish I didn't have to kill him Hinata... I wish I could have turned him to the side of good..." Naruto sighed, looking ahead of him and Hinata and he smiled wide. "There it is! It's the bridge!" he yelled, grabbing Hinata's hand and he ran with her to the bridge connecting wave to the mainland, Hinata making him stop.
"Look at the name of the bridge Naruto..." she said, giggling a little bit as Naruto gaped at the sign.
"THE GREAT NARUTO BRIDGE!?" he yelled in surprise, his eyes wide and his jaw hitting the ground.
"Oh Naruto, you touched these people more than you realise. I bet even all the kids know that." Naruto stared intently at Hinata. "That makes me sound like Orochimaru. Please never use that as an analogy again." Naruto said with a dead tone before hearing a scream in the town.
"Hinata! We better help them!" Naruto said and Hinata nodded, the two young ninja rushing quickly across the bridge, seeing buildings burning.
"No... they're being attacked..." Naruto whispered before his anger began to surge, killing intent leaking out of him. Hinata looked surprised when the scythe on his back began to glow in response to his emotions.
Center of the town
"Get everything valuable out of this town! Haru wants everything out of this place as compensation for his brothers death!" a bandit yelled to his comrades, all the people of Wave on their knees in front of the leader, cowering.
"This is wrong... we can't do anything to stop them..." Inari whispered shakily, holding his mother close as Tazuna grit his teeth, feeling a bandit hit him across the back.
"Sit up straight old man. You dont want anything to happen to your family now do you?" the bandit said with a sick smirk, Tazuna glaring at him. "Go to hell..." the bandit growled and kicked Tazuna across the chin, Tazuna now coughing blood.
"GRANDPA!" Inari yelled, jumping up and he ran at the bandit only to be kicked along the ground, the bandit using a little chakra to enhance the kick.
"INARI! LEAVE US ALONE YOU BASTARDS!" Tsunami screamed, the whole town looking at them helplessly.
"B-big bro N-Naruto... please... come help..." Inari whispered, struggling to stand up, glaring hatefully at the bandit.
"Oh? You're still standing? I think we need to teach you a lesson you little brat!" the bandit snarled and him and another one of his friends dragged Tsunami and Tazuna in front of the town, tying them up just like Kaiza was when he was killed.
"NO! DONT HURT THEM!" Inari screamed, weakly moving closer since his legs were starting to fail on him.
"Sorry brat. It's time for this whole town to see what happens to people who try and go against us!" the leader said, pulling out a kunai knife until he froze, not moving an inch.
"Wh-what's going on boss?" a bandit asked, the whole group looking at him and all they saw was a single kunai sticking in his back before he slumped into the ground lifeless.
"BOSS!" a bandit yelled before blood flew from his mouth, feeling something make contact with his chest.
"Gentle fist." Hinata muttered, all the chakra from her palm strike causing the man's heart to explode.
"Who's this?" a bandit asked, pulling out a samurai sword with a smirk. "You think you can help the people of this town? There's over 50 of us bandits here, you dont stand a chance little girl."
Hinata smirked. "Fifty? Wrong. More like Thirty." she spoke, the bandit looking around to see that twenty of his comrades were dead.
"What in the hell!?" the bandit looked around quickly, watching in horror as the man holding Tazuna and Tsunami hostage fell to the ground, his head missing from the rest of his body and Naruto was stood there, his new scythe caked in blood.
"You bastards... I'll kill all of you..."
Inari's eyes widened and tears sprung to his eyes.
"N-Naruto! You came!" Inari sobbed happily, hugging Naruto tightly.
"Inari. You get everyone to safety. You're the hero here, I'm trusting you to save everybody." Naruto spoke, his tone warm. Inari nodded.
"COME ON EVERYBODY! LETS LEAVE ALL THIS TO NARUTO AND HIS FRIEND!" Inari shouted and the whole town scrambled to their feet, following Inari as he quickly led them all away from the new battlezone.
"Hinata. You ready to deal with them?" Naruto asked as Hinata came to his side, all of the bandits gathering in front of them with weapons drawn.
"I'm ready Naruto. Let's end them for bringing harm to this town." Hinata replied, a cold tone to her voice. Naruto nodded and put his fingers into a cross sign. "Shadow clone jutsu!" he cried out, ten clones of himself appearing with scythes in their hands.
"LETS GO!" he yelled and he rushed the badits with his clones, every bandit looking fearful for their lives and Hinata ran too, her palms glowing with chakra.
"Eight Trigrams Sixty four palms!" she cried out, using the technique of her family to take out several bandits with perfectly aimed chakra strikes, killing them instantly as she aimed for vital points rather than chakra points. "That's ten down."
Naruto snarled as he ripped through the last twenty bandits, his ninja speed and chakra making them too easy to kill. "May shinigami-sama torture you bastards for all eternity."
Hinata walked over to Naruto and they hugged. "Nice work Hinata, we saved them all." Naruto muttered with a smile, Hinata blushing and smiling back. "You did well too Naruto." Inari ran over to them, shouting "NARUTO!", diving on the Genin's back.
Naruto laughed and smiled, pulling Inari round to his front and giving him a big hug. "I missed you Inari." Naruto said softly, Inari crying as he hugged Naruto tightly. "I m-missed you t-too N-Naruto!"
"Oi Inari, let the poor boy go." Tazuna said with a smile as the town walked with him to Naruto. "Naruto-san, thank you for saving us once again. We owe you so much." Tazuna said, bowing along with all the other townspeople.
"I only managed thanks to Hinata-chan." Naruto said with a grin, the young Hyuga blushing in response.
"It was mainly you Naruto..." Hinata mumbled shyly, prodding her fingers together.
2 hours later
"So that's what happened..." Tazuna mused, stroking his beard in thought as he looked at Naruto.
"Yeah... I brought the teme back but I get booted from the village... I was thinking that me and Hinata would stay in Wave for the time being..." Naruto said, smiling at Tazuna weakly.
"You can stay here Naruto!" Inari exclaimed, grinning widely at Naruto who blushed. "I'd like to but I doubt-" Naruto started but he was cut off by Tsunami. "That'd be great Inari, Naruto can stay in your room and Hinata can sleep in my room." Tsunami said with a smile.
Naruto grinned widely and Hinata smiled shyly. "Thanks a lot! It's really appreciated!" Naruto exclaimed happily.
"Naruto... I have a request..." Tazuna said, looking Naruto in the eyes.
"Anything old man!" Naruto replied, still grinning widely.
"I want you... to take on Inari as a disciple."
