And this is the final chapter of the Prince of Kinkow... I would like to thank everyone who read this and I am really lad back then I have decided to make this a multi-chaptered story instead of keeping it with that one-shot... Brace yourself for just the epilogue with a rather open ending. After the reviews, there is the last chapter and it'll be over:

SGJBMCfan98: If you think that was sweet, you'll really like this chapter! And thanks for your reviews! No more updates... :(

Enjoy this last part!

Ten years later

The island had improved since the day Teagan left. Thanks to the Kings they had build a bigger port and had greatly expanded the fleet of air-balloons. The island now could be reached better than before and the Dark Side even had been wiped out! Kinkow was now a safer Kinkow, thanks to those two kings of legend they couldn't stop talking about.

And after ten years, Teagan Kalooka-Khan finally returned home. It was just for a visit, though – he'd be staying for a week before he would eventually return to Lakuna. He couldn't leave his wife and little one-year-old daughter there all alone for longer than that? He had graduated years ago and had decided to stay there and help Lakuna in each way he could. He had met a nice girl whom he married and has a daughter with. With a bit of luck, he's going to have another child within nine month.

Teagan owed this visit. He always told his grandfather he'd be coming to visit, and after ten years, he'd fulfill that promise. Finally, Timothy would say, because it has been too long since that teenager ran away to Lakuna and learned to take some responsibility. Like he promised, he had also written letters – both to his grandfather, mother and Lanny. Two years back, Lanny started to write back. For what reason, Teagan didn't know but at least the prince wrote back. A miracle!

When Teagan arrived at the port, he saw one face he thought to never see again. The young man looking at him had grown in size. That was the only visible difference with the Lanny he now saw and the Lanny he remembered. This Lanny was indeed taller and seemed at lot older, but that was all. He still had his signature grimace on his face and his typical 'troll' hair. Teagan smiled as he walked towards the prince.

"Lanny! Man, it's been a long time."

"Whatever!" Lanny shrugged, "We're still just acquaintances. Timothy wanted that someone waited for him here and they chose that someone would be me. Let's just go." and Lanny immediately walked away, not even bothering to wait for Teagan. The Elder's grandson wasn't too surprised he still acted that way – he'd be surprised if Lanny had completely changed, though.

"I heard a lot of things changed around here," Teagan said after a five minute walk, trying to get the prince talking. Lanny sighed.

"Yes, the Dark Side is gone. Yes, Brady left and that redhead arrived. Yes, they are the actual kings of legend and no, I don't try to kill them anymore." That last one just came out. Teagan didn't look up: he knew of Lanny's numerous attempts to kill the kings. He said no more, except next question. "How long will you be staying here?"

"Just a week. I still need to get back to Lakuna after this visit." Lanny sighed in relief.

"Thank goodness! I had already hoped I didn't need to see you hear for the rest of my life. So, what's calling you back to Lakuna?"

"My family. I have a wife and daughter there. I just managed to get one week to come here to visit my grandpa and then I'm off to Lakuna again." And they started to talk to each other spontaneously while walking towards the castle. They covered a lot of topics (King Boz, the Dark Side, Kaita the Bat Rider, Lanny's loyalty) and eventually ended up discussing what Lanny had used to get rid of the Kings.

"So why did you stop, and when? That's what I want to know." Teagan asked, glad to finally hold an adult conversation with Lanny as if they had been friends for a long time. Lanny shrugged.

"Kinkow is my home and I figured that if the island had wanted me to become a king, it would have gotten rid of them already. Besides, my plans sucked and weren't as good as I thought they'd be. My very first trap was just letting the chandelier fall down." Teagan laughed, and he felt how he recalled his childhood memories when he walked over the plaza. He would be staying in the castle but had to visit his grandpa every day – he'd probably whine about how he wasn't able to bring his wife. Timothy didn't know yet he was a great-grandfather now.

When they walked into the throne room, he saw the two boys – no, men – he had abandoned when he had left for Lakuna. He had pledged at his elementary school to be loyal to the King (Royal Advisor) and Teagan had simply left them. They didn't know, but that was better. He soon met the redheaded King who replaced Brady.

"Hey, Lanny! Who's your friend?" the redhead said, and Lanny immediately protested.

"He is no friend!" he shouted, "this is Teagan Kalooka-Khan, grandson of our Elder Timothy Kalooka-Khan. He's staying for just one week." And Lanny continued to walk while Teagan was talking to king Boz. Lanny waited in front of the door of his former room they gave Teagan for his stay. He had to wait for ten minutes before Teagan finally showed up. Lanny rolled his eyes and walked closer.

"Let's just get this over with, we'd be better off without each other," he opened the door and Teagan walked in, impressed by the great view and the space. He was about to say it was a nice room, but Lanny was already gone. Figures.

When he unpacked his things, he recalled all memories. It hurt to see so many of them included pain and misery, especially in his bully days. At this moment, he was glad to have left Kinkow and to have had a fresh start on Lakuna. Yet, he also felt pain – and only because he had left the vulnerable prince who definitely needed help all alone so he could catch his hot air balloon to Lakuna.

But he couldn't really complain. He had had a great life on here, as an Elder's grandson, and that's saying something.

As Lanny walked away from the room they gave Teagan, a smile appeared on his face. At first, he didn't like to see the guy who had bullied him when he was a kid, but after not seeing him for ten years, he somehow couldn't harbor those negative feelings anymore. Teagan had been out of sight for too long to have any hard feelings against the Elder's grandson. And Lanny actually sort of was a little bit jealous: Teagan had studied, Teagan has a wife and a daughter, he has a family that cares about him. Teagan was living the life on Lakuna, while Lanny was just a boy living in the castle compared to the Elder's grandson.

Lanny couldn't complain, though. He was the Prince of Kinkow, and that's saying something too.
