He frowned as she took his staff and set it down leaning against a rock, but she quieted his worries by running her thin fingers through his soft, white hair. "Come my little Snowflake," she said taking his hand and leading him towards the cliff. He hesitated for only a second before following.

Only a foot from the edge her heard shouting. Two people calling, "Jack" and the last yelling "Frostbite!" He was about to turn when his mother's hand stilled him. "It's nothing Snowflake. Let's go."

He smiled up at her and held up his hands. She smiled back and slipped her arms underneath his, picking him up. He wrapped his arms around her and rested his head on her shoulder. It only lasted for a moment before he heard the shouting again. This time he was unchallenged as he turned his head to look over his shoulder.

There were four of them. The first three were standing back by the tree all with wide eyes. Closest to the tree was a large, muscular man in red. The other man was short, chubby, and gold. Floating between them was the only woman, covered in feathers of green, blue, and gold with shimmery wings keeping her air bound. The last "person" was the blue-grey, human-sized rabbit running towards him, its eyes narrowed with worry.

He tilted his head at the odd sight and timidly grasped at the small sense of familiarity of the four. The memories washed over him like a tidal wave. A meeting on children going missing in the woods in Virginia, the others wanting to wait to speak to Manny, sneaking out figuring he could handle it on his own, finding the cabin, getting pinned to the wall by the woman, a kiss that made his mind go blank except for one word, Mama.

Jack's eyes shot open wide as he turned his gaze back to the woman. Gone were the smooth, pale skin, simple yet elegant white dress, soft blue eyes, and long white-gold hair. Instead, there was a bony, disfigured body barely covered by graying skin, a black torn dress, milky white eyes, and dirty grey hair that moved as if she was underwater.

Screaming, Jack tried to push away from the woman before realizing they were now floating over the cliff and he was unable to fly without his staff. The winter spirit turned his fear-filled eyes to Bunny, who had made it to the edge of the cliff. "B-bunny," Jack said, reaching a hand out towards the pooka. The Easter Bunny quickly reached out his hand to help the boy, but just as their fingers brushed against each other, Jack's hand was snatched away.

The woman pulled Jack back into her, one arm wrapping around his back to pin him to her, the other gently grasping his head so that he was facing her. "N-no, NO!" Lips pressed against his forehead for a moment before pulling away, the boy's fear being pulled away with her.

He smiled up at his mother before nuzzling her neck and turning back to the Guardians, or more specifically the Guardian of Hope. "Bye bye Bunny. Me and Mama are going to go away for a while." With that, he wrapped his arms back around his mother and rested his head on her shoulder. He felt the fabric of his mother's dress wrap around him and he felt safe and protected.

And then they fell.

... What the heck did I just write!? I literally just woke up and wrote this.
