I have literally no excuses. I had actually given up on this because each time I looked at it I cringed, but today when I was going through my documents I found this and decided to put it up. I have no clue if I'm going to continue it, nor where the plot is going. I'm sorry.

Disclaimer - Still own bupkis apart from my own characters and plots (if I actually had them aha).

Chapter 5

"WHAT?!" Rose and I screeched at the same time.

"Are you freakin kiddin-" I started.

"You've got to be joki-" Rose said at almost the same time

"How can you tell you just-"

"There is nothing even on our ar-"

The Doctor put his finger to his lips and shushed us. Instantly my tongue curled, preventing me from talking. Rose went silent as well.

"Now," said the Doctor. "You two are going to have to trust me. I have known you for a very long time, your future, my past. The first time I ever met you, you disappeared before my eyes. The next time I saw you-"

"You can't say because-" I began

"Wibbly, wobbly, timey, wimey." Rose nodded.

"Yes. But I can tell you, what you told me, that second time I met you. Although, this probably isn't a conversation for sitting on the TARDIS floor in the console room. Let me just put us properly into the vortex."

He stood up, running around the console. Rose and I helped each other up, before quickly stumbling over to the railings. He hit a couple of switches and levers, before jumping back as the console sparked.

"I keep forgetting you can't do stuff yet!" he shouted.

"Wait, what?" Rose questioned.

He glanced up.

"Oops. Spoilers!"

I looked excitedly at Rose. We were going to fly the TARDIS one day!

After a few more minutes of sparky console and minor explosions, the Doctor ushered us into one of the corridors. A door appeared in front of us.

The Doctor muttered "Thanks, dear," and the TARDIS hummed in response. We went through the door into a large sort of lounge room. There were a bunch of comfy chairs and a large screen on one wall. There was also a stack of purple beanbags in one corner. The Doctor sat down in an armchair, but Rose and I went straight for the beanbags

"Right, what do you know?" Asked the Doctor.

"Aren't you supposed to tell us?" Rose countered.

"Well, I need to know what you know already. What has just happened to you?"

"We got sent back in time by Weeping Angels, then we got stuck in the gold rush for a couple of months-" I said.

"Year," Rose muttered darkly. I simply elbowed her in the ribs and continued.

"Then we met a Dalek! And you turn up, save us and we go back to the TARDIS-"

"We? You got carried!" exclaimed Rose. I elbowed her again.

"After you carried her back to the TARDIS and she woke up," Rose continued the story. "We got changed and were about to go on an adventure! Then we just end up here!"

"How does that work?" I cut in. Rose elbowed me this time.

"I think the bet way for me to explain this, is to tell you exactly what you told me. The second time I met you, you both had a kind of tattoo on your arms. When we finally got to talk you told me about this disease. It is called tardisitis." He said.

Rose and I both scoffed.

"Seriously? Tardis itis? Who came up with that one?" I said.

"You did. Or I did. It depends on how you look at it." He replied.

"So what is tardisitis?" Rose cut in before I could say anything else.

"Tardisitis is an exceedingly rare disease. Its symptoms include lack of energy and hyper manic phases, severe stomach cramps and spontaneous time travel. Got that?" He recited.

"Spontaneous time travel?" Rose almost spluttered.

"Yep. Each time you travel, it releases a dye-like chemical into your blood stream. It is harmless, but leaves permanent marks on your skin. You should have a look at your shoulders."

Rose stared at him for a moment, then I nudged her and she pushed up her sleeve. On her right shoulder, slightly to he back, was a mark. It was black and about 3 cm long.

"Oh. My. God." Rose breathed, "If my mum ever finds out, she is gonna murder me."

I giggled.

"Yours is gonna murder you more!" She pointed out.

I sighed. She was right, but I couldn't help thinking I might never see my mum again. I missed her so much, and my dad and sister.

As if knowing my thoughts, the Doctor said quietly "I know you must miss them very much, but it will be alright. I know you in the future and you are happy here. It's hard right now but it does get better." His words were soft and directed at Rose too.

"So what now?" I asked suddenly desperate to change the subject.

"Now? Now we go where I was going before you lot dropped in!" He jumped up and headed back to the console room.

"Which would be?" Said Rose and I at the same time. I blinked, this was happening a lot, even more than usual.

"To pick the one and only River Song!" I could the the exclamation marks in his voice. He was like a puppy, always full of energy. I suddenly wondered where this particular Doctor was up to.

"And after we get to meet the most badass women in history?" Asked Rose, beaming at the thought.

"We were planning a picnic. And guess where I've always wanted a picnic?" He bounced on the balls of his feet waiting for us to guess. When neither of us said anything, he continued.

"Hanging Rock! Isn't it a great idea?"

Its kind of unedited and it kinda didn't have an ending so I just tacked on a paragraph or two. Ignore me aha. Also, I have tumblr, if you wanna check it out, the URL is lillynire3-in-the-tardis.
