Jiper
Piper sat in her room. Leo was out doing something or another, Nico was being submitted to the tortures of the hospital wing with Hazel watching his every move, and Frank and Jason were doing who knows what. Telling Camp Half Blood what had happened had been harder than everyone suspected. Now, the ship was quiet besides the creaking of wind against wood. Suddenly, there was a knock at her door, breaking the delicate silence.
"Can I come in?" A familiar voice asked.
Piper smiled as she opened the door to the tall, blond figure waiting outside.
"No, you must stand out there. Hey!"
Jason continued into her room, despite her protests. Once inside, he plopped down on her bed.
"I thought I told you to stay out! Why does no one ever listen to me?" She huffed, only half joking.
"Do you want me to pick on the fact that you're to attractive to ever be taken seriously or just talk about your abnormally small ears?"
Piper glared at him, but eventually came and plopped down beside him. "So what's up?"
"A lot. There's something I need to talk to you about, that I wasn't exactly comfortable saying in front of the rest of them. It's about Nico."
"Yeah?"
"Are you really sure we can trust him? I mean, sure the guy's been through Tartarus and all, but he didn't tell Percy about the camps, he's betrayed us in the past, and there's his father… I just don't know, and something tells me that Hazel's the only one on this boat that does, and if he was our enemy, she would be the last one to see it. What do you think?"
"I think that even Percy didn't trust him fully, so yes, it will probably be best to keep a close eye on him, especially once he's out of the hospital wing. But, short of putting him in a cell, I'm not sure there's more we can do than that without potentially harming an ally. Still, I agree, he needs to be watched."
"Thanks."
"You know you can always come and talk to me." Piper leaned in slightly closer.
Jason didn't even bother with an answer. His lips pressed gently against hers. She could have frozen time, because, at that moment, all her worries about Annabeth, Percy, Nico, and the doors all flew away to be replaced with love for the wonderful person beside her. Her hands found their way to his hair as his found her waist, and there they lay, enjoying the comfort the other person could bring.
