Recently I've been going through my computer and clearing out old documents to make space on my computer. I wrote this epilogue two years ago after I finished the last chapter I uploaded here for Vegas. I know there were supposed to be more chapters, there was even supposed to be a wedding chapter which was ironically written out and scrapped only because I didn't like it. However I do still have that document as well if any of you would like to see it. Anyway, this epilogue was among the very few things I thought my computer wiped when it crashed. I thought I searched every folder, every nook, every cranny of this computer and came up with nothing.

That was two years ago.

Today, as I searched through my computer to delete old files, I discovered a folder I didn't even know existed. Within that folder held this epilogue, the first chapter to my now scrapped story, How to be Fun, several missing chapters to heart skips a beat, and even a chapter that was initially supposed to be this story's chapter 15 until I thought the document mysteriously deleted itself.

While I feel like the epilogue itself could be written better, or in general just be better, I feel like it wouldn't be fair of me to go and put a new spin on it. I want you guys to see how I envisioned their lives being two years ago, instead of how I envision them being now. Reading over it now, I do feel like it sort of reflects the way heart skips a beat ended. But that must just be where my mind got the inspiration from.

I never really got to give you guys a proper goodbye with this story, so I guess now would be the best time to say how much I appreciate everyone who's taken the time to read this story and even give me some criticism when I needed it. I know I'm a whole two years late, but I guess as they say, better late than never.

Without any further ado, I give to you, Unfortunately What Happens in Vegas Doesn't Always Stay in Vegas, the epilogue.

Enjoy

Things weren't very different for Austin and Ally, even after five years of marriage and two kids. After Ally gave birth, she and her mother rekindled their relationship and we're stronger than ever. Austin began working as a music producer not long after, deciding that a singing career wasn't really what he wanted anymore. Ally continued writing her music and was now a successful songwriter, writing songs for almost any artist you could think of. So yes, it was pretty obvious that the two were living comfortably and happily together as one.

It was a Saturday afternoon, and Ally had the day off. She was humming tunes to herself over a pot of macaroni and cheese as she waited for it to cool down.

"Mom, will you please tell Alex that its MY turn to play with the toy cars! My dolls have been waiting to go on vacation!" her daughter Aubrey exclaimed, stomping her foot to emphasize her anger towards her brother.

"Whats wrong with sharing?" she asked; "you two are always going at it about those cars as if there aren't other toys you could play with."

Her four year old son furrowed his brow; "Yes, but right now the cars are what I want to play with, and its not fair that Aubrey is trying to take them away!"

"One of them is MINE Alex!" she replied, her dirty blonde hair falling into her face as she pouted her lip and folded her arms across her chest.

"How about you both go sit down, nobody gets to play with the cars. Lunch is ready anyway," she said sternly, making it known to the two children that there was no room to argue her decision. With a collective sigh, they turned and took their seats at the dining room table. Alex rested his head in his hands while Aubrey traced the pattern of their table cloth with her finger.

"You know it'll be really great when you two finally decide to start getting along, then I won't have to take toys from you," Ally lectured as she placed a bowl filled with macaroni and cheese in front of each child; "Maybe take this as a lesson and decide to be nice to each other for a change." The brown haired boy rolled his eyes, he hated to hear his mother drone on about the importance of getting along with a sibling. Especially when he hadn't done anything wrong.

Ally dismissed herself from their dining room to search for her husband, who was probably chewing someone out on the phone at that very second, after all that was one thing he was really good at. Scaring the hell out of clients and making sure things were done in all fairness. She neared his office, stopping right at its entrance to make sure she wasn't interrupting anything important.

"Yeah, look Greg I'll have to talk to you later," he said, glancing up at his wife as she placed a hand over her growing baby bump; "I think we'll have to discuss that deal in person so that the lines aren't so blurred, on my end everything just seems so confusing and I'm not on board with it currently. We'll discuss meeting times another day, but for now I've got other things to tend to."

Ally took a seat in front of his desk, eyeing the blonde man as he listened to Greg drone on about how this deal could potentially change lives. She mindlessly fidgeted with the necklace around her neck that held one of the plastic rings the two exchanged when they drunkenly married 5 years before.

"Will do, I'll talk to you later, goodbye," Austin spoke and hurriedly clicked end on the call before Greg could begin to speak once more. Being a music producer was tiring, but the worst part about it all was dealing with people who constantly wanted to pitch deals his way, especially when he was rarely ever on board with what they had to pitch.

He heaved yet another sigh and ran a hand through his messy blonde hair; "I didn't mean to spend all morning on the phone, I know its supposed to be my day off but you know how these people can be," he said, quirking a brow.

"I know," she replied; "I don't know how you do it all the time, listening to these peoples crazy ideas and dealing with their attitudes after rejection, I swear I would snap at every one of them."

"Maybe its because you're four months pregnant, but that could just be a guess," he replied, shrugging his shoulders.

She rolled her eyes, Austin always found reasons to blame her attitude on her pregnancy, she found it amusing yet annoying at the same time; "Anyway, the twins are at it, arguing again. I'm not exactly sure how well they're going to adjust to having another sibling in a few months if they can't even agree on sharing a toy car."

"Its typical with twins I've heard," he said; "they're so stuck on being different from the other that they end up clashing at one point or another."

"That sounds really made up," Ally replied, cocking her head to the side.

"It made sense in my head so I just said it," he said with a chuckle.

She shook her head, smiling at his goofy comment. It was the small things about Austin that still made her heart flutter, the way he laughed or the way he played with the kids. It was wild for her to think that she and Austin were really in love, even crazier for her to think about how different her life would be without him and their two kids.

She remembered her thought process just a short five years ago when she found out they really married each other, the feeling in her chest when she realized that she and Austin wouldn't be able to divorce because of their stupid lie on those annulment forms.

To think, if it wasn't for that lie, they might've been living their lives separately. With different lovers, and different families, and different lives. Maybe Ally would have continued her studies and become a doctor like her parents wanted her to, and maybe Austin would have taken over the family business like his father wanted him to.

She was pulled from her thoughts as her petite best friend walked into the room unannounced, her three year old son trailing not too far behind her.

"Hey, Dez and I let ourselves in," she said, plopping into the seat next to Ally's and heaving a tired sigh; "Daniel is tiring me out today, all he wants to do is run around and play cops and robbers. It was fun the first few times but now momma is tired."

"I think its fun, you're just boring," Dez chimed in, inviting himself into the office.

"Don't start with me," she quipped, sending a glare towards her husband; "Since you two are literal rabbits and have a third child on the way, why don't you taken Daniel for the night and practice having three children, it'll do you some good."

"Uh, no thanks, Aubrey and Alex are having a phase right now and we'd rather not take on a third child at this very moment," Austin replied, placing two fingers on the bridge of his nose and applying pressure to relieve the stress beginning to tense up around his eyes; "Do you guys know what knocking is? Or better yet, letting someone know you're on the way?"

"Whats the point when we have a key?" Dez questioned; "if you wanted us to knock so bad I don't think you would have given us this."

"Yeah, and whats the point of letting you know when we're on the way? We're basically family at this point," Trish added.

"They kind of have a point," Ally said, a smile tugging at her lips; "but you know what I was just thinking about?"

They all quirked a brow in question at the woman, urging for her to go on; "Well, if it wasn't for my 21st birthday we would all probably be off living completely different lives than we are now," she stated, folding her arms across her chest.

"Oh yeah right, we probably would have ended up together one way or another," Austin replied, waving his hand in dismissal; "Now Trish and Dez? Maybe not, us though, we would definitely be together, just without kids."

"I don't know Austin, Ally was really adamant on keeping her feelings bottled so that you guys could maintain a good friendship for a long time, I think Vegas was the only push that got you guys together," Trish stated.

"I'm irresistible, we would have ended up together one way or another," he said.

Ally released a light giggle, shaking her head at her husband, knowing somewhere in her mind that he was probably right.

"Well, with all that being said, I just have one thing to say," Dez chimed in a smile gracing upon his lips; "You're all welcome."

"For what?" They all asked in unison, looking at the red haired man in confusion.

"For letting us all get married even though I wasn't drunk," he said, quirking a brow at the comical faces on his three friends.

As the four of them laughed the day away and talked about anything and everything. They all couldn't help but be thankful for that one fateful trip. The trip that changed their lives around for the better, and while it caused a lot of ups and downs, the ups were far more greater than the down by a long run.
