A/N: I'm so sorry for not writing for almost like a year now? :D Well I've had a huge writers block but I think I got some ideas now to continue! I hope you enjoy :] I've also starting to experiment new writing styles and such, but please do comment which kind you like best of! Oh and I'm sorry about the fact that my writings are short :( Disclaimer: The characters aren't mine! It all belongs to Suzanne Collins :)
The fiery ball that hangs in the sunny blue skies beam down at the little girl with blonde hair and a taller, slender woman with striking grey eyes. "And this is the bakery that I always go to." The little one says, looking at the bakery longingly. Smart actress. The older one smiles kindly, patting her hair. "Would you like to go in?" The blonde smiles but then it fades. "I have no money." She sighs, tugging at the brunette's sleeves. "Come, I'll show you another area." But the grey girl, though hate it, will go in, even if it is to make this little girl smile. "Prim, come on." She said, head high as she enters, the waft of fresh smelling bread overtakes her senses, and emotions.
Katniss
I laughed, my head slightly thrown back as I can his laughter echo the room. His strong arms pull me back up and our eyes meet again. His eyes sparkle brightly. His smile seems to make the room brighter and I then remember how close we were, how fast my heart was beating… beating… beating…"Katniss." Prim says, tugging at my scratchy pants. I snap out of it, but smile down at her. "Sorry, Prim." I roam my eyes around, looking at what I could perhaps buy for her. "Katniss, please don't…" But the girl's words trailed off her mouth. I walk to the section of cupcakes, decorated beautifully with a single primrose with detail. "You like chocolate, yes?" I said, but already picking it off the shelves, knowing this fact. I purposefully head towards the counter, Prim trying to protest weakly but I merely ignore the little girl, buying it, passing the boy at the counter with the few coins I had. Then he looked up at me. It had blue eyes. The clearest blue I've seen. It was like his. Except this one was dull, no life. Not at all like Pete- ahem Prince Peeta.
I see a handsome face, with blonde hair and a set of the most breathtaking blue eyes I have ever seen. He looks up and seem to be awestricken, seeing me. Breathtaking… blonde hair… handsome face…
"Miss?" I jerk my head, looking at him before nodding. "Yes, sorry. Than you." I said, backing away from the blue eyes as I quickly take Prim's hand, dragging her out. Only when I step out of the fresh smelling bakery, I then turn around, managing a smile at Prim, passing her the bag. "Thank you." Prim said, looking up at me with a bright smile. I feel the event pass away from my mind as I smile back gently. "It's okay." I look around before back down at her. "Anywhere else in mind?" Prim thinks for a moment before nodding, taking my hand with her smaller ones, the other hand gripping the paper bag as we move through the crowd.
The atmosphere changed. The bustling townspeople started to crowd around in the form of a circle as names were chanted. I frown. Prim's eyes seem to widen slightly. "Come on…" Prim starts but I was bewitched, walking towards the crowd, pushing them out until I notice two blondes. One was taller with a strong, muscular body. "Say it again to my face, you bastard! Come on!" The one cried who seemed to be the other blonde. I try to move past but can't see the face. "You can't take her away from me!" His voice. It's familiar. The other cried out, the taller man roar, head first as he tackles the shorter one down on the cobbled streets. Many oohs and some cries out the name "Cato! Cato!" I frown.
"Oh shi- what's going on?" She yells in my ear, making me jolt, and accidently whacking her arm. Johanna's scowling face in my view. I manage a smirk. "Where have you been?" I ask but she just waves it off, pushing me as she squeezes in between, watching the two males brawling. Johanna starts to chant but then her face pales. "What's it, Jo? Can you see the other opponent? Jo?" I flick her, but she makes no move, still pale. I frown again. She usually likes these things. "Alright, I'm going to… Oh Prim!" I realized with shame and guilt, pulling away from my friend, finding the little girl happily eating a cupcake, looking up with her blue eyes and blonde hair. So much like him. I ignore the fact, instead just smiling as I go to her. "Sorry little duck, sometimes I'm like that." Prim giggles, blinking at me. "It's okay." I smile, sitting down besides her as the chanting and cheering gets louder. "Do you want to go somewhere else?" Prim hesitates but nods, the two of us getting up before we leave the scene, back towards the comfort of home.
PrimPeeta, you idiot. You could ruin everything. I thought, worried and nervous as I manage a smile again at Katniss, leaving the battle behind.
