Trick stared down a gun. He gazed back at his captor and grinned. He took a step forward, pressing his head to the barrel. The cool metal tingled against his forehead.

"Go on then," He challenged.

"STAND DOWN. We need him alive, you idiot!" The captain of the guard burst in, commanding. The guard lowered his weapon.

"And the award to the brightest bulb in the room goes to you." Trick remarked.

"You'll write our victory in to being, Blood King."

"And why would I ever do that?"

"Because we have Aoife.. And Bo."

Trick's cold mask faltered. The captain grinned, satisfied. He turned back to his guard and smirked,

"Now that's how you get compliance."

Tamsin stepped out of the bathroom. She had wrapped the towel around herself and gently shut the door so as not to wake Bo. She crept her way towards her closet.

Bo heard the door creak and quickly slid back under the covers and faced the opposite wall from where Tamsin was. Bo caught a glimpse of Tamsin's figure reflected in the sword on the wall. Bo clamped her teeth and bit her lip so as not to laugh when she saw Tamsin tip-toeing her way around the bed, past her to get to the closet on Bo's side. Bo could sense Tamsin was now mere inches away from her. Bo dared to open her eyes for a second. Tamsin had her back turned, fully focused on quietly opening the closet door. Bo felt the heat radiating off the Valkyrie. Her scent was sharp from the immediacy of leaving the shower. Bo breathed in the citrus and fruit scents that hung in the air, intoxicating Bo and making her open her eyes again. She saw the side of Tamsin's face as she looked up cautiously. Tamsin's cheeks were flushed from the heat of the shower and her wet hair dripped beads of water that trickled down her body and traced her shoulder blades.

You JUST fed. You are full. Bo thought.

Tamsin unhooked a few things from her closet and slid the door back. Bo felt the Valkyrie's eyes roll over her, studying her. When she heard Tamsin on the other side of the room, Bo stared in to the sword again to make sure she was fully clothed. Bo started to move and stretch, conveniently awakening as Tamsin poured coffee.

"Well... Look who decided to join the living," Tamsin teased.

"Good morning to you too, Batman," Bo replied. Tamsin grinned.

"Extra towel's inside." Tamsin nudged her head towards the bathroom.

Kenzi awoke on the stairs leading to Trick's door. She closed her eyes again and blinked them open, trying to figure out how she got there. Last thing she remembered was falling asleep at the compound. She pushed herself upright and fumbled for her new and irritatingly basic phone to see the time. Dyson said it was for protection. She itched to text Bo but didn't want to risk anything. It took an enormous amount of effort to open her eyelids enough to see the screen. 7:23am.

7:23am? What the fuck, body?

Kenzi dashed up the stairs and was about to enter the room when she was grabbed on the arm from behind. She whirled around, fist poised.

"EXCUSE YOU-"

Dyson put his hands up in mock surrender.

"You shouldn't have left the compound, Kenzie."

"I.. don't know how I got here. I had this weird dream. I had to warn him about something."

"If anything happened to you- They'd make a fur coat out of me. Let's go."

She rubbed her eyes and saluted. They made a dash for the waiting car and jetted away.

"Sorry." She mumbled as she hugged him. The faint light crept in and she yawned and choked. She waved her arm out to steady herself while she wretched and coughed violently with her hand over her mouth.

Dyson quickly poured her a glass of water. He gently held her up as she coughed. Finally she stopped coughing when she felt a lump come up out of her throat. She looked down, eyes wide in disgust at the grotesque bundle of hairs in her palm.

"That is the last time you guys should ever order from that pizza place. What did they put in on it? Muffaroni?"

Dyson looked equally puzzled and disgusted.

"Kenzi, have you been in contact with any strange fae lately? Touched anything? Been bitten?"

"..I wasn't bitten."

"What happened in your dream?"

"I.. was running, jumping everywhere.. I had to warn Trick about something I saw." She winced, trying to remember.

"I- I saw a creature," She said, excitedly recalling.

"It was half horse half dragon, but it turned in to a guy. And there were all these crows following him. Dude, don't look at me like that I swear I'm not high."

"Whoever he is, those crows are his soldiers."

Kenzi felt a strange cool ring touch her forehead. She put her hand up to it but saw nothing but the feel of it chilled her, as though a gun had touched her forehead.

"What is it?" Dyson asked.

Kenzi couldn't answer. Just then, she felt a sharp graze go across her left palm and blood came rushing out. Kenzi's eyes widened, terrified. She seized the tissue box squeezed her cut hand while fumbling through the glove box for a first aid kit. As she wrapped her hand, a flash of

"Someone has Trick."
-

Tamsin had her back turned and chopped away at something. She made a quick incision in her palm and dropped a spot of blood in to a vial with a white sparkling liquid. She threw the pieces and poured the vial along with it in to a blender and clenched a paper towel in her bloody palm.

Bo emerged, hair wet and face rosy from the heat. She could smell the warm scent of cinnamon and waffles.

"Didn't know you were so domestic."

Tamsin jumped a little and Bo smirked. The Valkyrie took a breath, covered the blender and turned around slowly.

"Mmm.. what can I say? The power of 'Microwave' compels me."

Tamsin slid the blade and the cutting board in to the sink while slyly opening the faucet. Bo looked quizzical at her words and Tamsin rolled her eyes.

"It's freezer food. So..you can put away your Lady Boner." she mumbled. She took a bite out of the waffle and fussed with the blender's plug with her other hand.

"Thanks for the.. effort anyway." Bo replied.

Tamsin looked her dead in the eyes, smiled and flicked the blender's ice grater on.

"What's in the smoothie, Chef?" Bo asked, poker face glaring at the Valkyrie.

"Nothing but goodness, Succulette."

Tamsin poured the smoothie in to the glass and handed one to Bo. Bo glanced down at the drink and raised it up to Tamsin.

"Cheers."

Tamsin finished another bite and clanged her class against Bo's. She downed half of her drink. Bo's eyebrows rose up in surprise. Cautiously, she drank.

They couldn't hide here forever, as much as Tamsin wanted to. She had to take the right precautions. Map out her next move. He would probably find them within a few days if not hours. At least they had the daylight hours left to prepare.

Before Bo could take another bite of her food, a loud crash interrupted her. She could hear metal twisting and groaning from above.

"MOVE!" Tamsin yelled.

Bo dashed for weapons and Tamsin grabbed the large duffle bag. Tamsin ran to the bathroom and got in the shower. Bo did a double take as another muffled blast of metal shook the barrack.
"Er.. Tamsin you smell fine-"

The Valkyrie rolled her eyes and twisted off the shower head and frantically jammed a key in the side the fawcet.

"It's not me, it's you, sweetheart, now get in the damn shower!" She demanded.

Bo stepped in and Tamsin yanked the faucet out to reveal a long, cramped tunnel. She shoved Bo in first and shut the door after herself. Tamsin broke open a glow stick and handed it to Bo.

When they arrived at the other end of the tunnel, Tamsin climbed up the shaft and slid the metal door open and slipped out. Bo followed and was hit in the face with a long poster.

Bo rolled her eyes.

"We can't all be part Groundhog like you, Tam Tam."

The poster was long and advertised a hotdog with at mountain of toppings on it. She looked around and saw that they were in the back hallway a fast food restaurant. Bo followed Tamsin through the hall and out the front door. Tamsin noticed Bo's quizzical facial expression and the succubus quipped,

"Too many wiener jokes and too little time."
