Author's Note!

Hey there!

Hmm.. Let's look on my itinerary... Yes, it seems I'm still on schedule with the update for... Wait, hold on... It's August? Well, I'm sorry if Im la- WHAT?! IT'S FREAKING 2017?! WHAT THE ACTUAL &^*$%*^$^)$&$*$*$#$ #$#^#! For goodness sake, did I just entered a hyperbolic time chamber or something?! WHAT THE HELL?!

Anyways, I am so sorry for the super long wait. One thing lead to another and I never realized more than a year has passed. I've encountered an Olympus-sized writers block from fleshing out the fight scenes here. And FREAKING FINALLY! I think I can manage myself to finish this fabled chapter. I really can't believe how many time I went mad with this #( #$! chapter just because I didn't find it good enough. I'VE EVEN SOLD MY SOUL AND IT STILL ISN'T FINISHED! AAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!

UPDATE: It seems this novel has been taking its toll on me, and to tell you guys frankly, I kinda messed up how I wanted to picture this story. I never really scaled how the powers should be distributed here, and add the fact that the first few chapters were atrociously riddled with not only grammar, but plot holes, I'm actually seeing how erroneous it is to let it be. So think of it as the last two chapters. Although I hope I can tie all loose ends (it literally looks like spaghetti to me) with this chapter, sometime in the future, I will "rework" this tale, so to speak. Thank you for all the criticism and constructive reviews you leave. Thank you for all the support you gave and I hope this final chapter won't let you down.

This chapter is super long, so I decided to cut it into two parts. The second half will be posted next week. This is it, guys. Thank you very much for everything.

While were on this note, I am still shocked beyond belief that even after my long absence, my stories garnered attention. When I logged in here the first time since forever, I found out that two stories, "A Badger And A Sloth" and "Tara King's Winning Performance" made it to the final list of nominees for this year's Fannie Awards in the Best Alternate Pairing and Best Friendship categories. Thank you.

So let's get this started! I am kmtdiccion and here is the final chapter of:

The things most precious to you are often the things you least pay mind to.
The things that defined and give meaning to your life are often found in the dullest moments.

When will you have the time to tell them how important they really are to you?

When will you realize that those who you cherish cannot last forever?

For every new beginning lies a past chapter completely closed.
With every dark alley, there is a lamp guiding your feet back to the light.
For the moments you and your precious person share is forever immortalized in your hearts.
That whenever you feel lost, you would always go back to them, and them to you.

Can you hear me?

Remember me, because...

27. Chapter XXV: "The Monkey Chronicles: Spatii Et Temporis Part One"

The television screen went blank and the thumb that had been pressing down on the remote's channel button was released. A sigh went out of the man's lips as he held his gaze back to the map posted in the middle of the board, giving detailed descriptions about the besieged suburb. The intelligence officer was beyond shocked when hordes of stony monkey statues descended and wreak havoc all over the place, making the military and peacekeeping force unable to retaliate. Now that they have reorganize outside the city borders, the officials from Washington gave instructions to Langley on a bombardment operation.

"I'm getting too old for this." He muttered while recovering his hat and coat before leaving his tent.

The evacuation center is on a scramble with refugees and wounded personnel rushing in, hoping to seek solace from a traumatic experience that is the attack. Men ran back and forth, rushing to relay information and instructions about the incoming operation. The logistics team were on their wits' end, receiving, pinpointing the source, and checking all information they are getting and sending them to their respective intended people. The officer decided that he is most needed there, and would've went towards their tent if not for his assistant stopping him.

"Sir, there are reporters waiting for you. They want your statement for the situation." A lanky man with glasses informed him.

The man bit back the urge to yell at him back and replied in his curt voice, "Tell them to wait. Can't they see how busy we are?"

"B-But they-"

"Soldier, I said I will meet them when I've finished my duties. Is that clear?"

"Yes, sir." And without a second thought, the subordinate saluted to his officer before scrambling back to a group of people holding mics and cameras. He could hear the disappointment the reporters were showing, but there are things more important than talking to them. And with that, he went towards the tent, where he was met with frantic people, asking for instructions, or giving recent updates regarding the conflict. "Sir, we've accounted for at least 85% of the residents in Middleton. Pentagon says that we only have 35 minutes left before the bombers from Langley take off."

"We've got information about Global Justice officers who are still inside the danger zone. There's still no contact of Dr. Betty Director, but the logistics team inside said they still need to tail on Monkey Fist." One man spoke.

The general pondered for a bit, before answering "Tell their team that they only have less than half an hour to finish their job and get out of there. Mention them Washington's orders, and try to assist them."

"Yes, sir." With a nod, he went back to his table, put his headset on, and relayed the instructions back to Global Justice.

"Sir, you've got a call from Washington." Fixing himself after running for his dear life, one rank-and-file soldier informed the officer, earning him a nod and said to return to his post. With a salute, he moved quickly inside the conference room, where four monitors were open. The first screen shows a bald man with his army coat decorated with numerous badges. His face is stiff, with his mouth forming a thin line and eyes stony. The second one is a man wearing a black suit and a blue tie, with a pin of the American flag on his breast. His aura is more charismatic and enchanting while exuding power. He sat in front of the famous Resolute Desk. The third one shows a woman wearing a martial arts uniform. Her hair is cut short and her face is akin to the standard definition of an Eastern beauty. She, however, is also on a serious mood.

The officer greeted everyone and said "Sir, I am here as you requested."

"Yes," The gruff-looking general spoke, his brows slowly curling into a frown. "I know you've been debriefed from the plan to bomb Middleton. I want you to give us an update regarding the situation. The government is very cautious of not spilling any innocent blood on this mission."

"We've taken 85% of the surviving residents into account. They are huddled here inside the evacuation center." the officer informed them, his emotions at bay "We've estimated that there are 35,000 casualties, with 9,000 of them military and law enforcement personnel. 70,000 were injured and more than 50% of Middleton is destroyed."

He could feel the headache the second man in the monitor is getting. He knew that those numbers were extremely high and the cost that this crisis will have is going to impact the economy. This day will also be jotted down as one of the greatest American tragedies and it was during his term. Letting out a sigh, the man said "I know this would be a monumental disaster, but I never thought this would be this catastrophic. I will give a public announcement regarding the situation. Please don't let any more lives be wasted."

"I will, Mr. President." And with a nod, the screen of the leader went blank.

"Officer, I am the temporary grandmaster of the Yamanouchi school, in absence of Master Sensei." Giving a polite bow, the woman on the last screen informed him. "Our masters are currently inside the city perimeter and we've sent some of our men to fetch them. We've heard of the crisis and we would like to offer our help. After retrieving our incapacitated masters, they would be in heed of your orders as you wish. This is to repay the debt for saving our ancestors in the past."

"We thank you for your help." For the first time since the attack, the officer gave a small smile in gratitude. He knew that they will be a big help to implement the operation. "We are grateful for your gesture. I will notify your agents about the attack and will hand out instructions to help the still trapped people inside Middleton to get out."

The woman smiled before and replied "We will. Th-"

SCREEEEEEEEEEECH!

His ears began to ring as the excruciatingly screechy scream rang, disabling all electronic devices. The officer instantly curled into a ball, trying to combat the searing pain he is experiencing. He could feel his eardrums almost bursting from the yell, and he was sure it is starting to bleed. The monitors suddenly exploded, causing an uproar all over the center. Some people who were near gadgets got injured, most of the cases being second-degree burns.

"What in the nine levels of hell is happening?!" Although his ears is still ringing, he could hear the groans and cries of the logistics team, who were in the ground, twitching in pain. He tried to support himself from a desk to get back up, seeing one lieutenant rushing inside, horror etched in his face.

"Sir!"

"What's the status?"

"Sir, you need to get out and see what is happening." The young man helped the officer to regain his bearings before exiting the tent. What he found is something he haven't seen in his entire lifetime. Swirling mass of dark clouds converge above the razed city, a tense and daunting aura surrounding the entire area. He feels as if everything is beginning to fade. Then, a thin plasma-like dome encircled t he premise. One police copter tried to enter, but to his horrified shock, the aerial vehicle suddenly glow bright and exploded, leaving no trace of any debris.

Meanwhile, a service crew is using a small digital camera, while the reporter used a back-up mic. The original equipment they were supposed to use got burnt out for no reason, so they had to resort to use their lower-quality spare equipment. The sudden development is too big to miss and the reporter would do anything just to be the first to get to this scoop. While they were busy eyeing the ethereal cage, the reporter saw something from behind.

"This coming live from the new evacuation center. Hundreds of families are brought here from Middleton after a day-long siege by an army of unknown stone golems. We are currently... Hey, did you see that? Look at that Jeff, over the horizon... What is that?"

Shock.

The sight of her boyfriend, Jonathan, wearing a grin full of malice and ill intent, standing with her most hated foe shocked the redhead crime-fighter to her core. She couldn't comprehend what was going, but she knew her heart was shattered by his betrayal. Avoiding a swipe from the green villainess, she tumbled and gave a good kick to her gut, sending Shego hurtling to an overturned car. Her instincts kept the cheerleader from getting a beatdown, but her mind is still on the fritz with the whole Jonathan sitch.

"W-Why? Why would you do this, Jon?"

CRASH

Her eyes widened in surprise and instantly ducked, avoiding the hurtling car. The tossed vehicle crashed into the debris and exploded. Kim's eyes went back to her opponent and saw the burning rage in her eyes. Shego screamed as she once again dashed towards her opponent, and tried landing a clean chop to her neck but the the cheerleader gracefully parried it. In agitation, Shego furiously send multiple kicks and punches towards her but Kim easily went defensive and managed to counter every offense. When Kim saw her hand lagging, she moved in and capitalized on her opening, giving her a good straight punch. The green henchwoman flew straight towards a boulder for the second time.

"That's for cozying up with my boyfriend!" The redhead leveled a glare to the growling woman. Kim ducked, expecting a swipe from her arm but was shocked when Shego grabbed her by the hair and pulled it, earning a cry of pain. The villainess empowered her fist with her powers and slugged her hard, sending the knocked teen to the ground with a harsh thud.

"Hiya!"

Her eyes were trained to the flying body of one ninja after receiving a fatal blow on her side. She crashed against the concrete barrier, beside where Kim is currently lying, trying to stand up. Tamao was using all her willpower to continue he fight, but it seems that Jonathan is a formidable fighter, and he hasn't shown any signs of slowing down. The perpetrator landed beside the green woman and asked, flashing a charming smile "You alright? Did Miss Goody Two-Shoes give you some trouble?"

Shego sneered in response "Of course, as if she's even hardly a challenge. In fact, you looked worse and you're only battling some small fry."

The male snorted but grinned otherwise when he had the chance to look at her ripped clothes, revealing her smooth skin. Shego knew where he was looking and let out a snort, slightly amused with his attraction. Meanwhile, completely standing up, Kim stared at the dark-haired boy who was still near the woman she hates. Her mind was still in the fritz, but she can clearly see what is currently happening. "What are you still doing with her?! You've got some 'splaining to do, Jonathan!"

Shego just laughed at her and retorted "You still don't know what is happening? Open your eyes, Princess! You've been played." Leaping in the air, Shego landed a kick to the redhead's side. Kim rebounded from the rock and hurled herself towards the villainess and engaged into a long succession of chops and kicks. Shego parried all of them before jumping out of her range and decided to shoot plasma towards the teen. Her brain flooded with adrenaline, Kim's instincts was through the roof, dodging every ball of green plasma towards her.

"Grr! That bitch! I would-" Her musing were cut short when something hit her arm hard like a car crashing towards her. She was sent flying and landed like a tossed ragdoll. Pain suddenly enveloped her body as she saw the visage of the perpetrator for her situation. Still with evil intent written on his face, Jonathan calmly walked towards her, a steel rod on one hand, and said conspiratorially "You know, for the supposed super-smart teen crime fighter who has foiled many villains' plans, you are too easy to be manipulated."

"W-Wha-" Before she could ask him, the boy kicked her right to her face, flipping the shocked girl before landing with her back carelessly against the destroyed asphalt road. With a new wave of pain crashing on her body, she twitched as she eyed the one she gave everything to, smiling as if he had accomplished what he has done.

"I was supposed to do this on a far later date, but better now than never, I guess." With her mirth completely gone, Kim saw a side of him she hasn't seen, and wished she hadn't. His eyes were cold and hard, emanating an aura of bloody murder. His visage is akin to a devil exacting revenge. The rod he was holding is shaking and his face showed the extreme clash of emotions surging inside him. He continued, his voice low, but loud enough for her to hear "I've been waiting years for this. You and your DISGUSTING excuse for a family. And finally, their precious gem is right in my hands."

"What are you talking about?! And how dare you to call my family disgusting?!" Kim's rage seemed to rise when she heard the slight to her family name. Sure she was usually understanding when it comes to problems with herself, but when her pride for the Possible name is in question, she would be the first to defend it. And to hear something like that to her beau earned not only regret, but fire to stand up against him. But, unknowingly, she didn't expect the retort he gave next.

"How dare me?! How dare you! You don't know what the Possibles did to me and my mother. Do you have any idea what they did to her? They left my mother to her death! All her life, she gave her all for that sickening family. She studied hard and worked hard, just to please their egos. But what did that sickening family do? Just because she fell in love, and had me, they threw her out! They FREAKING threw her out! She worked herself to death just to be thrown out like a dog!" Anger started to burst out from the usually cool boy, silencing the teen girl completely.

"While she lay down on her bed, breathing with short and ragged breaths, I tried to get in touch with my grandparents. They said it was good riddance for them. I even tried to get help from others. Your Nana said she can't come, even your father said he has his hands full when I asked. All she wanted is to be something they can be proud of." He spat when the vitriol overflowed in him "So much for your tagline. Everything's possible for a Possible, including kicking your own family away."

Kim tried to at least sit down, but her muscles all cry in ache from her constant battle with Shego and the earlier invasion. It had been hours since the attack happened and Monkey Fist's theft in Middleton Museum, and the redhead knew she doesn't have any stamina left from fighting non-stop. So, she could only eye the raging boy with fear in her eyes "And that's why I made a plan to exact my revenge against the Possibles. And all I need is the perfect target. Both you and i know that all of them are looking up to you, so I tried to get your attention. To have you under my complete control, both your mind and body."

Jonathan caressed her cheek, in which she flinched. In the past, his touch could completely melt her into goo. But this particular show of affection has something chilling underneath. Maybe she's hallucinating, but she felt that there is something much more sinister is waiting to be exposed. And, her thoughts didn't betray her when she heard the next words he uttered.

"And now I wonder, what would your pathetic family would do to you if they learned the fact that you're in a relationship with your cousin? Actually, the things they would say when they learn that you actually slept with one intrigues me, to be honest."

Time seemed to stop on its tracks when the implication of his question hits her. Her eyes were wide in horrified surprise on the underlying statement within the question. All this time, Jonathan knew, and he still went with it. She was proud to have high scoring tests when it matters, and she had studied much more than the average student could. But at this time, Kim felt like the biggest buffoon in the world. She was played right to his hands, and he didn't even force everything. She gave herself willingly, and the bad taste formed on her mouth of the thought she actually enjoyed it.

"I..." Words seemed to leave her, uttering gibberish. She fell in love with a mirage, worse, the payload on its consequences were far bigger than she realized. She did it with her cousin, no less, and she was sure this would haunt her mind for a long time. Tears started to form and she doesn't have any energy left to hold back her sob. Her mind seemed to stop working since all she's doing currently is staring to the ground, crying like there's no tomorrow. "I... I..."

The pathetic sight of the once proud redhead made the boy smile. He knew he had completely destroyed the crown jewel of the blasted family. And he finally exacted his revenge. And with that, he held the rod into position and whispered to the sobbing mess of a teenager "Sleep tight, Princess."

He swung the bat hard enough and hit her in the head, instantly knocking her down unconscious. Shego went beside him and laughed at the poor sight of her rival. He spoke to her "Don't worry, cupcake, I didn't kill 's just unconscious. Now, let's go back to fetch our robo-girl." Shego nodded and went to the coordinates given by the GPS installed inside the Synthodrone, leaving the lying girl alone. There's a little trickle of blood oozing from her head, but the teen crime fighter uttered one word before falling into unconsciousness.

"S-Sorry..."

Unknown location

In a place unknown to humans, a shrine is sitting on top of a steep mountain. The place is decorated with gold and rare jewels. The design is akin to ancient Chinese architecture with hints of Japanese culture. The structure is over a hundred feet high, and the view on top of it rivals the most iconic nature paintings the world has ever seen. The golden sun shines from a layer of fluffy white clouds from the mountain range. A river can be seen traversing between the valley and into a lake. The forest below is lush, and is full of vegetation and life. And the whole place is ruled by a single entity.

This is the mindscape of the Mystical Monkey.

Sitting on an intricate mat, The Mystical Monkey saw what was happening below the mortal realm and mused "The Young Master will face one of his greatest test in his life. Whatever he choose will make or break the world. Hmm... That is a pretty big task to be given to someone like him... But I think he can do it."

He had his talk with the current wielder of the Lotus Blade earlier and he knew that the boy will do well in his fight. The young Stoppable is currently engaging with Monkey Fist and the heated battle left the being worried, but also hopeful for the boy. The mystic primate also watched over the development regarding the attack on the Chosen One's city and is deeply saddened by the gargantuan loss of life and property. He thought when the Shinigami would get his hands on that accursed monkey man, he would suggest to give him the heaviest of punishments.

"I think so, too..." The Mystical Monkey opened his eyes and chuckled lightly at the new intruder of his house.

"So... You now want to see me?" The man gave a casual smile before giving a respectful bow towards the monkey. He didn't changed his clothes much. He was still on his battle suit like the last time he went to battle. But, the serene aura he radiates mean that he had been at peace for a while now. Toshimiru glances at his first master and sat in front of him, and entered into his meditation. The monkey knew that this guy doesn't leave his cave much. But it seems he's also interested to the current Chosen One as he furrow his brows in concentration.

"I never knew you could even get out of that cave. And here I thought you humans should be more advanced than us." The monkey teased the man in question, who only grunted in response. He then turned serious and asked "So, what do you think about my current container? And what do you feel about this battle? I know you felt something off when this whole thing started, so what do you think?"

"That Stoppable is a fine man," Toshimiru smiled at the thought of the boy he briefly interacted with "He had the heart and the soul befitting an honorable warrior. He cares deeply for what he considers precious, and would give everything to save them. I definitely approve of him." His smile left and was serious when he continued "But, I still have my concerns about this battle. One, the wariness I feel from the Lotus Blade is palpable even from here. It feels troubled by being called by two holders at the same time. But the more important thing to note here is what lies inside Stoppable's foe. I fear that it isn't only the Setsuna Twins power we should be wary of from Monkey Fist."

"You think that... No. it can't be." Reaching his realization, the Mystical Monkey knew what the founder of Yamanouchi is referring to. There is only one ancient primate who is sealed underneath a ruin, the one that Toshimiru first sealed on his first fight as the Chosen One. Born during the 'civil war' that nearly tore the Mystical Monkey's family apart, The Setsuna Twins revel in the darkness and destruction, and has earned the epitaph as 'The Twin Destroyers'. They were one of the few who detested the truce offered by The Twelve Zodiac and insisted to kill more. Toshimiru ended their terror by sealing him into a statue.

"To think that their will is still living is an unsettling thought." The monkey rubbed his chin in thought, looking over the possible countermeasures if ever Monkey Fist has the dark monkey inside.

"What I am more cautious about is Monkey Fist's instability and how he wields that much power. As much as he wants to think he deserves it, he simply can't contain that much power, and it may lead to something catastrophic. Add the fact that he literally cut his soul off from the Shinigami to free himself from the death seal, I am unsure to what actions he will take that can endanger the universe as we know it." Toshimiru explained, which the monkey accepted and noted. If that is true, then this fight is more than what they've bargained for, and they really can't help but to hope that the current Chosen One would be the eventual winner.

"Let's just hope for the best, and continue to monitor in peace. When things go south, I have a plan."

"Let's end this once and for all, Stoppable!" Monkey Fist yelled before leaping high above the ground, wielding the Lotus Blade, and aim right towards the blonde's heart. The blonde dodged the attack and gave him a roundhouse kick, sending him away from where he stood. The English madman bounded from a wall and charged once again with the sword in hand. The blonde knew he was in a losing position with him wielding the mythical sword, and his aggressive tactics didn't helped him better. Gritting his teeth, Ron jumped away and thought "What is up with that monkey man? I need to find a way to stop him, fast."

"What's wrong? Too scared to fight back? Why don't you be a good sidekick and die." With a crazed grin, The man ran towards him with insane speed and tried to split the teen up in half, but Ron is nimble enough to avoid being slashed. Picking up a steel rod lying on the ground, he parried the incoming second strike. Monkey Fist morphed the weapon into a chain and caught his weapon, throwing it away from the blonde. With a menacing smile, he whipped his weapon. Ron narrowly dodged the strike which would've been his head.

"That was a close one." Ron muttered before going back into his defensive stance. He had been fighting the crazed megalomaniac for quite some time, and a lot has happened in the span of a few hours. He was attacked inside his house, followed by his death and eventual revival, then fighting Monkey Fist again. Many would find this sequence of events miraculous that Ron still survives this, but in the end, he is still human, and he can feel his energy nearing its limit. "I need to finish this or else Monkey Fist would eventually kill me."

Nearing him at speeds akin to racing car, Monkey Fist yelled, his voice full of pure unadulterated rage "THIS IS YOUR END, STOPPABLE! GOOD RIDDANCE!"

The blade let off an ethereal green glow, and Ron could feel the intensity of the upcoming attack. He tried to jump away, but his legs gave out and was sprained, locking him in place. He felt time slow down as he eyed the deadly attack with fear. He cursed himself for tiring himself out to be locked in his trap. He closed his eyes shut, and tried to bear himself for the incoming pain, but was surprised when he heard a familiar voice cutting through the dense fighting aura.

"Hiya!"

A kick to the side and Monkey Fist went hurtling towards the road. The asphalt instantly exploded as it came in contact with the empowered sword. Ron opened his eyes and was shocked to see the determined stare a certain redhaired girl is giving towards the downed martial artist. Her purple orbs were sending down bone-chilling glares, and warned the groaning man "You will not lay a hand on Ron again. And I will make sure you will not do so."

Taking a good look to who the unannounced attacker is, Monkey Fist barked in laughter before sneering "And you think you can stop me, dear Erica? With the Lotus Blade and the Twin Statues with me, no one can stop me, not even your sweet boyfriend. Mwahahahahaha!"

Ron, finally standing up, asked her "W-What are you doing, Erica? You have to get out of here. You have to be-" His speech was cut off when he felt a slap hit his cheek. Her glare went towards him and Ron saw something he never saw in her, determination. For most of their short interaction, he would think that the girl is a bit shy, and except her sudden confession, would always be humbled by herself. But from what he's seeing beyond the tears in her eyes, he sensed something churning inside her, as if it had awakened something that may have changed her.

"No, I won't leave you. I would rather be destroyed than go on if it means giving you the chance to end this all." The blonde was about to retort on how preposterous her idea is, but she silenced him and continued "Even of we learned about each other for a short while, I instantly came to an understanding that you are one of a kind. You even changed me, something that I never thought possible. You are too bright to be wasted and die over. So, please, let me help you. I want to at least repay you for my sin against you. Please."

"What do you mean?" Before she could respond, Monkey Fist went near them and taunted them "Sorry to cut your romantic chit-chat, but if you really are eager to die, then so be it. It would be better for me since I can savor his regret and loss more when I kill you first!"

Monkey Fist tried to grab the girl, but Erica somersaulted away. Ron gave him a straight punch and a roundhouse kick, sending the monkey man away. Monkey Fist growled as he wiped his mouth from the copper taste of blood on his mouth before charging again, this time, he is in a frenzy, wildly kicking and slashing his two opponents. Ron now had a backup in the form of the redhead, and he thought he may have a chance and end this fight quickly. Little did he know, the real battle has only just started.

Meanwhile.

Dr. Director knew she is close to her target. She could feel the ominous aura coming from the direction she and her team is facing. The leader of Global Justice couldn't get in contact with the stationed logistics team, and with the green plasma-like dome enveloping the suburb, she mused that it was the reason for the lack of communication. She ran as fast as she can, knowing that she doesn't have any time left, and was trying to move on when she saw someone lying on the ground. Her eyes went wide and went towards her downed special agent.

"Possible! Can you hear me? Possible!" The director looked for since of life. She felt her pulse and her breathing is a bit normal, albeit a bit ragged. But the most concerning part is her bleeding head, which may lead to some concussions. She felt the teen hero twitch and groan before groggily opening her eyes. Her sight is a bit blurry but she couldn't miss the voice of the person she looks up to. Rubbing her eyes, she murmured her response "D-Dr. Director?"

"Possible, what happened to you? Do you know something about this case?" The leader grabbed one gauze bandage from her men and started tying it on the teen's head. Kim sucked in a bit from feeling slight pain but answered nonetheless.

"I didn't know about the whole Monkey Fist sitch, besides the fact that he's the one responsible for everything, but what I've faced here earlier is Shego and..." She didn't know what to say regarding her estranged... she didn't even know what to call Jonathan at the moment. Her memories regained fully and she remembered the nasty things the boy told her, and her heart ache from the betrayal and distrust. Noticing that she went to a pause, she coughed and continued "Shego and her henchmen are here to retrieve something. I really don't know if she has any connection with Monkey Fist, but she's still up to no good."

Putting her hand on her chin, Betty pondered on her words and murmured "I see. So, Shego's in Middleton, too. We will see when we find her. Now you go back and rest, Possible. You hit your head pretty hard and is bleeding. You may suffer from brain damage if you don't check that up." Standing up, she helped the injured teen and ordered to leave the premise. Kim bristled on the idea and started to speak up, trying to convince her to join her team.

"B-But Dr. Director, I need to go, too." Betty wanted to warn the girl from her possible injury, but the look in her eyes never wavered, standing firm on her ground. Kim continued "I need to do something before I can come back. I need to do this, Dr. Director, so please understand. Because if I don't, I will never be able to forgive myself. I need to stop Shego." Being in the law enforcement scene for years, the leader was not a stranger when it comes to emotions. And she definitely saw something off with her usual cocky attitude. The once proud girl in front of her is staring as if she has nothing else to lose, almost as if her world was shattered and saw this as her only way to salvation. Something must've happened to her, and she was sure Shego has something to do with this. She can't change someone who has set her mind. And with a sigh, she accepted her request.

"Okay, but I must warn you, you slow the operation down and I will have no choice but to send you back. Is that clear?"

The usual Kim Possible would smile brightly and would answer a casual 'no big', but the curt nod and the never wavering determined stare was all she got from her. Letting out a sigh, she ushered her group to continue walking when they felt the ground shaking. All of them instantly went to their knees and scrambled for something to block the debris. One unlucky man was smashed by a falling wall, instantly killing the agent. Betty huddled beside a turned bus with Kim while hearing faint explosions coming from the spot where they will hunt Monkey Fist.

"Possible, we need to stop Monkey Fist fast before the whole city collapses. We will pursue Shego after we complete this mission, understood?" Earning a nod, the two nod and started running towards the scene. The shaking subsided, but the danger is still present with dirt and rocks falling from destroyed buildings. The agent stared at his boss with wide eyes when he heard her plan. He honestly think that the GJ head is finally losing her marbles. Before she could go on, he quickly caught her hand and said "I'm sorry Dr. Director for any disrespect this may cause but I think-"

"THIS IS AN ORDER, AGENT!" Dr. Director roared, making said agent flinch. "I SAID STAND BACK AND FOLLOW MY INSTRUCTIONS! ASSIST THE INJURED MEN WHILE I PURSUE MONKEY FIST."

Without any chance to react, the leader of Global Justice sped off, leaving her team to assist those who are still alive but was badly injured from the small quake.

Clang!

Ron parried Monkey Fist's attack. The two men jumped away from each other then began to run. Monkey Fist charged the Lotus Blade with his Mystical Monkey Power, making the said sword to glow blue, and swung it against Ron. He tried to block it with the sword but it shattered when it came contact with the mystical weapon. He leaned to his back, missing the blade by an inch. He stomped at Monkey Fist's face and jumped, causing the ape man to stumble at the ground with force.

"You insolent fool, why don't you just die!" With the blade in hand, He tried to swing it towards the boy, but he instantly noticed the girl aiming to swipe his feet, so he leaped from the ground before counterattacking with a good kick on her back. Ron caught the flying girl before going on a defensive once again when he notices the English monkey maniac to force to engage with him again. He is trying to wear the enemy down, now that he has Erica with his side, but the crazed man proved to have stamina left.

Gasping for breath after numerous times he parried his attacks, Ron tried to think of ways to stop Monkey Fist's rampage. "Gahh, is there anything that can make my life worse?"

And unknown to the blonde, his sarcastic question came true when the two beings he least wanted to see first came to view. With shock evident on Erica's eyes, Shego smiled and said to Jonathan, who was staring at the monkey man with curiosity in his eyes "Look, Jon, there's your robo-girl. Looks like Monkey Man's doing good work, and he looks a bit powerful to boot. Well, at least he's facing the sidekick loser and is failing at it." Her snickers fueled the already raging fire inside the English madman.

"Shego and that pretty boy." Ron growled while still glaring at them. Erica was too scared that she hid behind the blonde, which piqued the tandem's interest. He still hated his guts when he learned of his true intentions with Kim, and he swore he would make him pay. He is basically two-timing with Shego, of all people. "That is completely sick and wrong! That's like kissing a synthodrone or something. And why do I keep feeling something bad is still coming?"

Shego just snorted on his hostility and sneered " Oh, look, Little Miss Good Shoes' mutt is growling at us. I'm soo scared." The jab earned a laugh from the boy beside him. She continued to drawl "You're not the one we're after. We want that girl behind you. So, you can go back with your fight with Monkey Man over there and let us take care of her. Besides, I think he's been itching to severe your head, so do yourself a favor and stop him, don't you think?"

The mention of Erica made him bristle with caution. Narrowing his eyes, he asked "What makes you think I would give her up to you two that easily?"

The villainess and the young Beatable stared at Ron for a moment before erupting into laughter, making his eyebrow twitch in annoyance. Gasping for breaths, Shego asked in between her laughs, "Y-You... You really care for HER? Hahaha.. That's just, no, it's too funny. Loser gets attached to a.. Bwahahaha!"

"Monkey Fist, you are under arrest!"

All eyes shifted and saw Betty Director, together with a menacing figure of Kim Possible. All eyes were drawn to the hostile green eyes from the injured woman. Jonathan's eyes went wide from shock. He knew he hit her pretty hard, and should be unconscious for today, but the sight of her face, void of any emotions except hurt and betrayal, made him feel something he should fear from. He asked slowly, trying to gauge her reaction "You should be knocked out, but why are you still standing?"

"It's Jonathan, what are you doing?..." The Global Justice head asked him, slowly connecting the dots inside her head. She hadn't know any reports about Kim Possbile's boyfriend having an evil streak within him. But she would guess this is the reason why Kim has been so adamant on coming into this mission. If that was the case, then Jonathan is an accomplice to Shego, and it is under her jurisdiction to capture him. With that moment of realization, her eyes narrowed in disgust and said "You. You should've been quiet."

Jonathan just glared at the older woman and snarled back "And you should've stayed inside your comfy office than coming here."

"ENOUGH!" With a flash of his own power, Monkey Fist silenced everyone and shouted "I WILL NOT TOLERATE ANY DISTURBANCES! ALL OF YOU WILL BOW DOWN TO MY GREATNESS AS THE MOST POWERFUL CREATURE IN THE WORLD!. MWAHAHAHAHA!" With a burst of speed, the madman quickly run towards Ron, who is unable to move due to his shock from all the surprises. He slammed his hand on his chest and let out a burst of power, sending the boy towards Dr. Director and Kim. Erica, who was hiding behind him, was caught on the crossfire and was also went flying.

"Ron!"

"KP!"

"Stoppable!"

Betty successfully escaped but Kim, since she's still in pain from her head, was caught. The trio were hurtling towards the side of a crater. Ron gasped out in pain as he sluggishly tried to stand up. Kim followed suit with her hand clutching her head. Although he was a bit happy that Kim is still here, he's more concerned about her bleeding wound from her head. With that, the blonde took her hand and pulled her out, asking "KP, are you alright? There's nothing wrong with you, right?"

Kim gave a curt nod and tried to regain her bearing. The two had a strained relationship, with the most recent interaction included her shouting at him. To be honest, she still doesn't know what to say to him. A part of her is still reeling from Jonathan's revelation. But, somewhere deep down, the redhead felt a mixture of guilt and sadness when the estranged friend comes to mind. He's still something she truly cares about, and the recent betrayal drives home the fact that Ron, even up until now that they've been fighting, still stands up to her. Looking at the blonde, she saw he's in a worse wear than she is, but still he's still concerned for her well-being.

"I..." Before she could continue with her thoughts, an explosion occurred at the other side. Kim saw Monkey Fist, his whole body cracking with power, is dueling the green-skinned woman. The forceful blows and blasts of energy can be felt from where they are and made her spine shiver. Betty, on the other hand, is trying to subdue Jonathan, but his agile body kept avoiding her grips. Kim knew she had a mission here, and she would damn well finish it. She spoke while still eyeing the battle "Hey, Ron. Why don't you look out for-"

"No... Oh, please, no..."

Ron can't believe what he was seeing right now. All the color on his face had faded. His mind went short and his breath hitched at the sight he never expected. He staggered back, almost tripping at one point, and pointed towards the one held dear for a short while "N-No... It can't be..."

Erica was roused from the knock she took and was able to readjust herself. She could still see the static on her lens and the continuous error showing in front of her. But when she came to her senses, she finally realized where she was. Erica saw Ron in front of her and was about to shout for him when she noticed his shocked expression. She looked down and gasped at the sight she saw. Her eyes darted back to Ron and quickly understood what was happening with him. She tried crawling near him but he quickly drew back. All she can do is stare at the shock-filled eyes and whisper.

"R-Ron..."

Her skin, albeit is full of dirt and muck, is still smooth. She had a few scratches here and there, but she still has that flawless texture. No, what made his blood freeze is the large wound she got from the recent crash. Instead of red blood, it is oozing with green slimy substance. Instead of flesh, there were traces of alloy metal and polyester materials underneath the skin texture. It isn't life-ending big, but it was enough to see that what's inside the girl's body isn't exactly what they would call 'human'.

Her secret is out. Ron now knows of her existence as a Synthodrone.

"Ron..." She tried to call him, but he's still unresponsive. She tried to reach out to him, but the sight of her hand made him flinch. The blonde couldn't believe it. He had been with a Synthodrone all this time. A while ago, he joked about two timing as if kissing one, and now that the revelation is out, he can't help but let out a self-deprecating laugh. What a day this is turning out to be. In just a day, all secrets were out, and the world is almost at the brink of annihilation. "Ron... I'm really s-sorry, but-"

"Save it." Ron spoke, his voice listless and devoid of any emotion. She expected him to be yelled at or be cursed. In fact, she wished that is what the boy had done. because to hear him utterly snuffed out of any energy made her mind go haywire. The erratic emotion she undergone when Ron died paled in comparison to what is happening to her right now. She's still having trouble about her new found sentience, and right now, she wished she could revert back. Ron continued to speak while eyeing the battlefield in front, not once looking back at her. "It is my fault for letting you in. I don't need any more explanations. It's okay."

After saying his piece, Ron closed his eyes for a moment before calmly walking back towards the fight, leaving the wounded Erica and the still shocked Kim behind. Shego got kicked in her gut and was down for the count. The former hero simply underestimated his powers and took the fatal error of trying to catch his attack. Grinning with delight, the half-simian, half-man pointed the enchanted sword to the nape of her neck and said "You shouldn't have challenged me, fool. Now, you pay the price. Good-"

His eyes went wide, pulling the sword from her and stared towards the walking boy. The freckled teen was slightly limping from the extensive fight, but the aura emanating from him made him stop. His eyes, earlier they were frantic and tired, but right now it is hollow and cold. The faint blue hue surrounding the boy also add to the speculation that the boy has finally reached his last stage. Grinning viciously at the thought of claiming his power, Monkey Fist roared with delight "FINALLY, you decided to get serious. Let's get this over with and see who truly is the Chosen One, Stoppable!"

With the sword in hand, Monkey Fist fired a flurry of slashes powered by the Mystical Monkey Power towards the blonde, but nimbly side stepped all of his attacks, his eyes never wavering from him. Without any second to spare, Ron quickly ran towards the monkey man. The once calm bluish cloak surrounding him began to fire up. Every step the boy takes causes the ground underneath him to crack. The English man could feel the intensity of his charge. He will definitely enjoy the time stalling him, draining him of the last of his energy before killing him. "Oh, yes, struggle all you want, sidekick, but the ending still remains the same. I will relish in satisfaction to snuff out all your hope when I kill everyone you care. Come!"

When the two were within their melee range, Monkey Fist let out a war cry and tried to give a hearty right hook, but Ron ducked and suddenly landed an uppercut on his chin. Seeing this as his chance to suppress the stunned monkey man, the boy followed up his initial attack with a straight kick to his abdomen, then finishing with a roundhouse to his temple. The three consecutive damaging attacks sent his assailant towards the ground. Monkey Fist coughed up blood and stand up once again, the grin never wavering from his face.

"That's more like it." Seeing that the boy is now completely serious, he flared his own power even more, causing a high pitch screech being heard all over Middleton and beyond. The ground began to lightly shake, making all the others who are witnessing the fight to tremble. The English man stared at the freckled teen, who still bears the same cold and determined face, and laughed merrily. "Show me your best. I would enjoy this more when I kill you at your peak. LET'S TRULY BEGIN!"
