A/N: I know it's another short chapter after a long break but this year has really been tough on me. My boyfriend has had a tough year thus far and I've been trying very hard to make the past three months much better for him. And this past week happened. This week has been hard. Tuesday I found out that I'm pregnant. By Friday however, my OBYN had informed me that I may be experiencing a miscarriage. I cannot express in words the number of time I have prayed that God grants me His mercy and saves my baby. I am doing everything in my power to save this pregnancy and have now come back to writing to help me relax and try to keep my mind off things. I should know by the end of the week where my life is heading so I will probably have new chapters for many of my stories. Until then…
You Know You Love Me,
XOXO,

Chapter Eight
L.A.
Buffy had to beg Connor and Angel for some alone time, promising to stay put this time, after Angel had explained the painful circumstances of his departure from Sunnydale. She needed this time to truly wrap her head around everything. She barely knew who she was, she knew Angel was and will always be her soulmate but barely remembered him, her town and friends were in danger, though she couldn't remember them and could do nothing to help them, and her world had been turned upside down by receiving the news that she had a son she conceived but didn't give birth to, who was raised in a hell dimension.
"Whoa there, Slayer," Buffy jumped at the sound of a familiar male voice, belonging to a man Angel had told her was dead, from behind her before turning around quickly. "All this thinking is gonna either give yourself a headache or another memory, which would probably hurt just as badly."
"Doyle?" Buffy whispered harshly. "What? How? I was told you died."
"Yeah. Thanks for reminding me of that one, oh Chosen One," Doyle replied sarcastically. "Oracles. Three guides. Ringing any bells?"
"Right, two from Angel's and mine shared past and one from my past alone or something like that. So you're number uno, give me a hint at who is dos and tres?"
"No can do kiddo, strict orders only to guide, which brings me to these," Doyle pointed at one read and one blue stone, both seeming to shine with some kind of magic. "The red one goes to Willow once she gets here, it will help her with Cordy's situation; and the blue one goes to Angel once you have your memories back, but I'm not allowed to tell you what it does."
"So why would I give it to him?"
"You just have to trust that the Powers have your back on this, Slayer. Now you should go down stairs, something big is about to happen you won't want to miss."
Buffy had barely made it down stairs and into the lobby before Wesley had come up to her.
"Ah, Buffy," he began, "I know you've gone through quite the ordeal, these past couple of weeks, but we should really test your strength levels before Giles gets here in a couple of hours. Just to see where we should start to help kick start you getting your strength back."
"One, I don't remember knowing you; two, I trust exactly two people here and you're not one of them; and three, I don't think we'll have the time," Buffy replied, trying to move past him to where Angel, Connor, and Gunn where having a conversation.
"Buffy I really must insist- "
Buffy shoved past him, but just as she got to the center of the room a portal opened above her and Cordelia falls on top of her. "Umph."
"Buffy!?" Angel, Connor, Gunn, Wesley, Lorne, and Fred called out rushing forward, not recognizing the girl who fell down on the blond.
"Really, they spend a day with you and forget what someone who most here has spent three years with looks like," Doyle asked, appearing suddenly kneeling next to Buffy and Cordy.
"I'm fine," said, while rolling her eyes at the guide only she could she and making sure Cordelia got up safely before getting up herself. "And so is Cordy, not that you asked."
"Cordelia?" the room full of people asked as the woman in questioned asked Buffy, "You know me?"
"From the little I can remember, yeah, pretty well I think. And so does everyone in this room. Don't worry, we have a friend coming, she's gonna help you get your memories back safely. Connor can you help me get Cordy up to her room? I'm afraid I might get lost."
"Sure, Buffy," he replied moving the rest of the way towards his mother and his would be mother figure and leading them from the room before anyone could object.
