Chapter 5 Remake

Sophie felt lost. After crying her tears, she was yearning for the warmth and comfort from her brother or her bunny to keep her safe, but she lost them... her Hope feels like it is waning. It was hard for her to believe and stay strong in the midst of turmoil at a time like this where she counted on the guardians and her brother to keep her safe. There was apart of her that told her that she won't make it out alive to see her brother again. The situation she was in is...unbearable.

But didn't she feel that way too when she accidentally went to Bunny's home? Sophie remembered how beautiful it was to be in a oasis paradise, but at the same time it was terrifying for her to be away from her home. Somehow her curiosity got the better of her to explore some more. Curiosity always got the better of fear as how her mom usually mentions to her in order to keep her safe from going where she wasn't supposed to go or do until mom said it was safe.

Bunny...

She still had memories of being with him. Memories of riding on his back. Memories of decorating Easter eggs with him. The little eggs following after her. Him befriending her in the big wide garden paradise was a huge comfort where she didn't feel that scared of being alone anymore. Him showing her how Easter really works.

She didn't believe at first that Bunny was being controlled by the Boogeyman. She understood through her mind that her big brother and his friends were trying to stay strong and going after the evil guardians to free the Tooth Fairy and Santa. But then Bunny, Jack, and Sandman took her big brother and his friends away from her, turning their back on her. Bunny's betrayal hurt the most in Sophie's heart. What had happened to him after when he gave her those Easter eggs as a gift? Why did he now want to hurt her when all he ever did was try to have fun with her? She didn't have an answer, but she knew that according to her brother the Boogeyman Pitch had done something to her bunny.

Her big brother, his friends, Tooth Fairy and Santa need help. But who could help her with this mess she was in? Mom isn't there to help. Jamie was taken so he was out until Sophie did something about it. But the worst part is that... she was afraid that the Boogeyman was going to win in taking their beliefs altogether and that she couldn't do a thing about it.

But wait!

Sophie began shivering as if the cold was paying a special visit to her. Monty told her that she was the guardian of Hope's apprentice. She was Bunny's Hope! She was the guardians' last Hope to put the Boogeyman in his place! She was Jamie's and his friends' Hope in taking out the evil guardians! She slams her foot down to the ground and disappears into the hole, all the while thinking that the world is starting to appear smaller to her.

It took about an hour for Jamie to wake up from unconsciousness as he winced in pain, rubbing his eyes to get the sand out of them when he spotted that he wasn't at the Tooth Palace anymore. He was in a cage. He sprang up on his feet to try to bust the bars of the cage open, but it didn't help. He looked around at the dark and gloomy location he was in. The whole place he was in looked like it would fall off a cliff into an abyss. A huge underground world with numerous cages, bridges and he thought he spotted some elevators in the distance when he looked closer from his prison. It felt wrong being here, so very wrong that he wants to just escape and crawl back up to land. He spotted something that looked a lot like the globe in North's workshop but it was grey and black.

"Welcome back Jamie." Tooth called to him from one of the other cages. Jamie looked up and his eyes widened in dread, seeing all of his friends and the two guardians he rescued were locked up as well.

"How come you guys are here?" Jamie asked, unsure of what's going on.

"Turns out that Pitch made Sandy knock us out with the dream sand and made Bunnymund put a anesthetic ointment in one of the eggs to knock Cupcake out. Pitch must have made a backup plan in case he lost any one of us to you kids." North explained bitterly at being bested by the Boogeyman.

"Where are we at exactly? This place is giving me the creeps!" Pippa asks, trying to not shiver from the cold.

"This is Pitch's Lair children." Tooth answered as she tries to reach her hand out to her apprentices from the cage she was trapped in, but she couldn't reach far enough to their separate cages. "This is where he brings up the most horrifying nightmares he has created to bring fear to life."

"And where is that exactly?" Monty pipes up on his question.

"Venice, Italy." Caleb answers as he wondered out loud. "Um.. Why do I even know where we are?"

"Most impressive Caleb, you and your brother are learning to hone in on what location you are at." North praises his apprentice while Claude in another cage gave a nervous smile.

"But how are we going to get out of here?" Claude questions as he bangs his hands on the bars. "Is there some way we can get back to the Tooth Palace from this underground prison?"

"There are the tunnels which lead to different corners of the world, but without Bunnymund we won't know which way will be the right spot to get back home." North explains.

"Thinking about leaving the party so soon?" Possessed Jack's voice called from somewhere in the lair. "The Fun is just getting started!" His evil laugh filled the air with dread as the guardians and the children braced for any sort of attack that the brainwashed guardians might do. Jamie was more in tuned on putting his brother instincts on, searching frantically for any sign of Sophie in one of the cages.

"She ain't here if that is who you are searchin' for mate." Possessed Bunnymund said as he jumped onto Jamie's cage making it swing back and forth from the impact of his huge feet.

"What did you do to Sophie?!" Jamie almost yelled in response to being played around with in the cage. He tries to freeze his heart from giving into the fear of watching his little sister become a toy for Pitch to play with.

"Nothing," Possessed Sandy said, giving a glare at the bunny as he floated in a clockwise motion around the cages of his victims. "We left her to watch while we took you away from her."

"How could you? You MONSTER!" Cupcake shouted, trying to stomp on the cage to break out but to no avail. "She's just a child! She shouldn't be allowed to see that happen!"

"None of the children in the world would want to see that, but it still happens on occasion." Possessed Jack said as he wags his finger at the tough girl glaring at him from the other side. "Now I want to get this Fun I have planned out to be set into motion."

Tooth could be heard begging on the sidelines, yelling at the possessed guardian. "Pitch I won't allow you to have fun with any of the children! Jack, I know that you, Bunnymund and Sandy can hear me in there! You must break free from Pitch's hold on you!" She got blasted with the sand stinging her hands like she touched an oven that was too hot.

"As much as I would like to see a caged bird sing, this is not what I had in mind Tooth Fairy." Possessed Sandy said as he moved the sand away from her to keep her quiet. "You will not be able to free the other guardians that easily, no matter if you have an item that jogs your memory or not. And I will make sure it stays that way."

"Are you going to kill us then? Or try to possess us?" Monty asks, his teeth chattering from the cold and Pippa tried to draw her hand close to him to keep him warm.

"Oh we have already tried that possession part, mate." Possessed Bunnymund said with a frown on his features, crossing his arms with the boomerangs in his grip. "While you were knocked out, we experimented with it to taint Tooth's apprentices, but their memories will not be swayed to our favor, and they caused some problems with our Nightmares in making them forget about coming near them. We switched to Sandman's apprentice and see if she will cave in to the Nightmares but she remained peacefully asleep during that time with no need to wince at whatever is in front of her in the dream." Monty, Pippa, and Cupcake had looks on their faces like they felt violated at the thought of being possessed, but they were so thankful that they didn't cave to Pitch's spell thanks to the new powers they got from the guardians. "North's apprentices were too busy with their dreams to even see the nightmares in front of them, and while we thought it would be easy pickings, the possession didn't stay on them for thirty seconds to become permanent. They were even worse on the horses than Cupcake on keeping the nightmares from possessing them! Meanwhile we tried to possess Jamie, but the frost on him created a shield impenetrable that it would not let the horses get near him. We were impressed that the guardians managed to let their power protect you from getting possessed when they went under."

"As for killing you, we aren't going to resort to that yet." Possessed Sandy continued where the evil Bunnymund finished. "Right now it would be more appropriate to get you kids' fear to be fresh for the taking. And luckily, I know all of your fears." He commanded the sand to go around the cages and shaped them into different things for the kids. Jamie tensed up as he prepares himself for what is to come. He remembered what Jack Frost said in order to try to give him strength. 'They are just bad dreams, Jamie.' With this in mind, he took a few small breaths to calm himself and clear his head.

Cupcake was the first to be targeted by Pitch and the black sand formed into a small piranha fish that was eager to take a bite out of her. Jamie once heard from Cupcake a long time ago that one night while her parents were asleep, she snuck down to the living room to watch a horror movie with the piranha fish and she got so scared of that movie she hid it somewhere in the living room and ran quietly back up to her bedroom. Later on she told the truth of where she hid it and her parents thought that it should serve a lesson to her to not watch something that scary without her parents knowing. Cupcake didn't move from her spot in the cage as she stood up straight and looked at the piranha fish in the eyes, shrugging her shoulders as she turned her head to look at the evil guardians for a moment. "You call this a fear?" Her voice spoke of a challenge as she smirked. "I have been over that fear before I met my friends." She then arched her back like a cat hissing at something and roared at the sand piranha and it spooked the fish so much that it swims away to hide behind one of the boulders. Possessed Sandy slapped his hand on his face, shaking his head in disappointment at the display.

Claude and Caleb closed their eyes and they both repeated the same words in their heads, over and over again like a broken record. "I'm not going to scream." They repeated just as the black sand turned into a nest of snakes that broke inside of the cage to constrict them. The other children's eyes grew wide in shock as Claude and Caleb struggled to get themselves away from the snakes in the cage by stepping on their heads or smacking them in the nose. Evidently, Caleb was the one who had enough out of the two and he straight up yells like a military coach pointing at the cadet. "Is that all you got, Pitch!? You couldn't scare the fuzz off of a peach!"

Possessed Jack acted a bit offended by the statement Caleb made. "Excuse me? You think that's all I got? Just you wait until we break you apart by your fears!" Claude applauded his brother for standing his ground while Caleb smiled after rattling the Boogeyman with his statement.

Pippa braced herself for the next onslaught of the black sand heading her way and she spotted it taking the shape of what she feared the most; twisters. Jamie could see that she was troubled by the sight, and he called over to her the same advice that Jack had given him, telling her that its just a bad dream and that the dreams can't hurt her if she lets it. She nodded her head, uncertain if what he said was true until she repeated these words into her head. "Its just a bad dream. Its not real." She told herself those words three times and afterword the sand twister faded from her line of sight. She figured out that as long as her friends did nothing to give in to the fear, the fear wears off.

Monty did his best to stay strong as he saw the black sand taking the shape of a shark, taking Jamie's advice the same way that Pippa did. He did jump a bit when the shark banged against the cage he was in and he told the shark off by saying, "Smile you son of a gun!" He touched the head of the shark before it could go in for another jump-scare and much like its movie counterpart the sand head blew up and the sand shark was no more. The possessed guardians were not pleased at this show of resistance.

The Possessed Sandman then moved his sand to form it into a rope and whipped it over Jamie's right hand, forcefully pulling him out of the cage which came open so that the boy was dragged over to the evil guardians who loomed over him. Jamie didn't say anything, refusing to show any sign of weakness against Pitch's puppets. He couldn't hear what Pippa, Monty, Claude and Caleb were saying but he knew they were shouting at the guardians to leave him alone. Cupcake and Tooth looked like they wanted to say something but they didn't know if their words will penetrate the evil guardians from changing their minds. North bravely said, "Jamie, you must stay strong against Pitch! You have done it before, and you can do it again!"

Jamie understood and braced for whatever attack Pitch had in stored for him. Perhaps since that the evil guardians brought him out of the cage, then he could probably try to freeze the cages around his friends and make the cage shatter upon impact to break them out. After when he was dragged by the sand, the possessed Sandman pulled the boy straight up to him, looking at him in the eyes. Jamie glared at the evil sandman, not showing any fear. "Still not willing to accept defeat are you Jamie? We will have to change that."

"There is nothing to change Pitch!" Jamie sneers. "You know that I will stand with the guardians! And so will my friends!" He wanted to say a little bit more, but a cold harsh sting on his back made him wince in pain from the black dream sand.

"Don't you think I know that child?" Possessed Sandman said, grinning at the pain he was inflicting. "In order to remedy that from your mind, I will break you physically and emotionally until your light goes off!" The sand rope lets Jamie go and he starts to get up from being dragged by that rope Sandy created. He didn't know where the possessed Jack Frost vanished to, but he could see the possessed Bunnymund coming straight for him.

Jamie took a few deep breathes as he stands his ground against the big imposing bunny. "It would be best if you gave up while you have the chance mate. Just give me what I want and we will let you go back home." He gave a kick in Jamie's gut, pushing him to the ground.

"What happened to you Bunnymund?" Jamie coughed as he looked at the big imposing bunny straight in the eyes. "You broke my sisters heart when you tried to attack her! Do you even care about her anymore-?" He got punched again in the gut as Possessed Sandy whipped his cheek with the sand in his face.

"What is there to care when Hope is gone?" Possessed Bunnymund said in a taunt. "Along with the Dreams and Fun, you won't have any left when we are finished with breaking your spirit. Or better yet, maybe we should just bring your sister here and you can decide to give them up to save her."

Instead of giving in, Jamie stubbornly refused to let them see that he was in pain. Evil Sandy and evil Bunnymund he could handle in keeping his emotions in check. "You will not touch her or my beliefs!" He muttered angrily.

Jamie could hear Jack Frost coming up behind him and pulling him up by the back of his sweatshirt. He could feel the icy cold frost creeping up to his head and traveling over to his arms. Although he can't feel the cold by itself, Jack Frost's freezing hands are taking it to the extreme in causing some discomfort for him. Jamie struggled for a moment in the cold as the possessed Jack was freezing him into a living ice statue, but before the ice could fully take over his legs, he kicked Jack's right leg as hard as he could muster. He felt Jack take a step down from the force of the kick and Jamie quickly reacts to forcefully grab Jack's staff out of his hands.

Possessed Jack wasn't pleased at what he was getting from the boy. Not his fear of death, but a spark of adrenaline coursing through the boys spirit. His smirk would send a cold shoulder to anyone who dared to challenge him. "Looks like someone knows how to have a little FUN! But you shouldn't have done that, kiddo!" Jamie had to admit to himself that Possessed Jack Frost looked scary when he is mad.

"You should have thought about that before taking Jack and the other guardians Pitch!" Jamie said, as he attempts to swing the staff up to freeze over the cages and break them apart, but he couldn't finish it before Bunnymund punched the back of his head. The force of the rabbits punch made Jamie let go of the staff and it fell down next to him.

Possessed Bunnymund picked him up and was about ready to crush Jamie's head with his right paw but Jack interrupted him. "Hold him right there Cottontail! He is mine!" Jamie scrunched up his face as he tries to break free from Possessed Bunnymund's hold by putting his hands to the rabbits paw.

"BUNNY!" A voice echoed in a shout through the lair as the evil guardians froze in their tracks. North and Tooth looked around aimlessly for the source of that voice, while the other children tried to help them out by trying to identify who that voice belonged to.

"You don't think that might be..." Monty trailed off as he looked at the stricken and shocked faces of his friends.

"I'm afraid that's Sophie..." Cupcake mutters, shivering from how powerful that two year old's voice was. It didn't sound like anything a two year old would shriek out. And sure enough, no two year old would be brave enough to go up against three brainwashed guardians at once! She quickly tried to come up with a plan on getting herself out of the cage. With Jamie's attempt to break them free had failed, it was up to her. She formed a lock pick from the sand and she directed it outside of the door to unlock it, she did the same thing with the other cages to get her friends out of their prisons.

While Cupcake was doing this, Possessed Bunnymund stood to attention as he kept his grip on Jamie, holding his ears up in the air and sniffing out something, narrowing his black eyes in concentration. "Looks like the little girl decided to come on over mate." The possessed Easter Bunny was hoping to get a good scare out of the younger Bennett sibling.

Upon recognizing the voice belonging to his little sister, Jamie shook his head furiously as he tries to get out of Bunnymund's grip. "Leave my sister out of this Pitch!" He could see a faint shadow figure coming out on the bridge, the persons one eye glowed in the darkness of Pitch's Lair. He couldn't see Sophie very much under the cover of the shadows, but he could tell that the little girl was walking straight toward the evil guardians.

Possessed Sandy had a leering smile on his face, floating next to the possessed rabbit as he said to Sophie who was walking toward them. "I am impressed that you managed to get here on your own child, but don't let that get into your head. We would like your help in talking some sense into your brother." Sophie didn't say anything as she crept closer and closer in the shadows. "Nightmares, fetch her for us."

The nightmare horses went to do exactly as the possessed Sandman told them to, and Jamie reached out his hand toward his sister, fearing for her safety. "Sophie, get out of there!"

"Big Brother?" Sophie called out to him, her one eye brightened in recognition but when she spotted the horses galloping over to her, Jamie saw that her eyes turned hard as rocks. Just before the horses could get near her, she stomped her foot to the ground and the horses vanished into the hole in front of her. The hole closed itself up after when she stomped her foot again, producing a flower in its place.

Sophie looked up from where she created the hole as she took something from behind her back and swung her weapon in the possessed guardians directions. Possessed Sandman flicked it away but it only made the weapon come right back to hit him in the back. Jamie could see that the weapon Sophie threw was a boomerang. How was she able to master those weapons without him watching over her? But as he saw his sister creeping into the light, she made it look like she was still a small child, when in reality she had her legs crouched down where she was crawling on her knees. She slowly rose up from her position on the ground and Jamie just stared wide eyed at what had become of his sister while he and his friends were held hostage by Pitch. Jamie could barely hear Claude and Caleb's questions they had for North to explain what happened to Sophie and the guardian of Wonder explained to them of what Jamie was familiar with back when he first believed in Jack Frost.

Somehow at the sheer thought of losing her brother and the Easter Bunny took its toll on Sophie much like how Bunnymund felt after losing Easter. However the big difference was that when Bunnymund lost the belief, he would revert to a small bunny. Sophie took a different route where she looked more grown up in appearance despite being two years old, this new form of hers made her look like she was about sixteen or eighteen years old. The rainbow dress she was given looked bigger as well, growing along with her. Her boots seemed a bit snug at first but Jamie could see that her feet make them look like she was wearing sandals instead. Her feet grew out of those small hiking boots he and his friends intended for her. Her shoulder length hair cascaded down the top of her back. Although her bright blond hair was a tangled mess, her bang hanging over her right eye made her look like someone who shouldn't be messed with. Her emerald eyes seemed to glow especially in the dark and they were narrowing down in a glare at the possessed guardians.

Possessed Bunnymund wasn't swayed at the change Sophie took on as he said. "Do you really think you can defy us mate? You were supposed to be the scared little girl who can't even save her family and friends! Don't you KNOW who WE ARE NOW?!"

The grownup Sophie just glared at him, never taking her eyes off him even with the threat of the other two possessed guardians. Jamie could feel that something was off about his sister, how the calm, bubbly and sweet sister has changed in this grownup form. Now she exhibits a fierce, determined, and calculating personality in battle. She looked like what would happen if a two year old with the powers of the Easter Bunny went on the ultimate temper tantrum. But how did she grow up that quickly, Jamie wondered to himself. Did she feel anger at the thought of losing her family and friends that the magic adapted her body to the task? Did her sadness over losing her brother cause this to happen to her? Did it hurt for her to transform? He presumed it was all of the above.

Sophie spoke, her voice flowing out the Australian accent. "I don't care who ye are Pitch! Ye took me bunny and hurt me brother. That's not nice!"

Cupcake resisted the urge to giggle at the display as she hid her mouth under her hands to keep from showing her smile. Monty and Pippa looked like they were afraid of the new grownup Sophie as they were shivering. Claude and Caleb just stared in amazement at how brave Sophie has gotten all by herself. North and Tooth were watching in silence, waiting to see what Sophie was going to do.

Possessed Jack Frost took two steps closer to the girl as he aims his staff toward the grown girl. "Now, listen closely child, you only need four little words to free your brother and his friends from this place, can you guess what those words might be?"

Sophie shook her head from side to side. "Don't give Pitch what he wants Sophie!" She overheard Tooth calling out to her in a shout. "He wants you to say something that will make us guardians fade away from existence!"

But Sophie answered by a frown on her face while her eyes narrowed into slits. "Give my Bunny back!" She slammed her feet two times and a huge hole formed underneath the kids and the freed guardians. North realized what Sophie was planning and he silently cursed in Russian before they all fell down into the tunnel. The possessed guardians tried to go after them, but Sophie closed up the hole quickly as soon as she got everyone out.

Bunnymund's Warren

Jamie and the rest of the gang didn't know exactly where the tunnel was leading them to as they along with the guardians were deposited in a vast open oasis filled with so much green plants. Everyone had flopped down to the ground the moment the tunnel let them go and North was the first to raise his right pointer finger up in the air, muttering, "This would have been a good time to buckle up!" He laughed for a while before he and Tooth got up to help the kids on their feet.

Claude and Caleb were the first to get up and then Monty and Pippa as their gazes locked on the beauty of the oasis underground. They had never seen anything like it in their whole lives as they wondered where exactly they are. Cupcake was the first to break the silence as she asks. "Where did the tunnel take us to?"

"This is Bunnymund's Warren." Tooth answered, a small smile on her face as she looks around the peaceful quiet outdoor atmosphere the Warren gave.

"Where did Sophie go?" Jamie was looking around frantically for his sister, seeing that she wasn't with them when they entered the Easter Bunny's home. "Sophie!" He called for her.

"I'm right here, big brother." Sophie answered behind him as he turned around to see her sitting on top of one of the egg shaped hills where the flowers were blooming. She was swinging her legs back and forth on the hill like she was playing with the water when there wasn't any. She definitely looked taller than he was seeing in the shadows of Pitch's Lair.

"Sophie! Are you okay?" Jamie asked as he flew up over to her to inspect her and make sure she wasn't hurt. At least it looked like as soon as she brought him and his friends back safely, she had calmed down where there is no trace of the temper tantrum she had a few minutes ago.

"I'm okay big brother. You don't have to worry about me." Sophie said, holding her hand out to pull her brother into a hug. "I felt so lost without you." Jamie could tell that she was trying to not cry but a trail of water ran down her cheeks.

Jamie melted into the hug, trying to comfort his sister. "It was my job to make sure you were safe. And you aren't really lost, not as long as you hold the memories of the good times when we are together. But the one thing I am more concerned about is how on earth did you master the boomerangs?"

"Oh, that." Sophie brushed her bang a bit before explaining. "Well, after when I got this growth spurt, I began having this instinct to defend myself from danger, and magically I was equipped with the boomerangs along with some exploding eggs. I'm not sure if this is because I am the guardian of Hope's apprentice and I can get my hands on the toys Bunny plays with, but they appeared when I was ready to stand up and fight. I also seem to make the tunnels appear and disappear wherever I want them to appear somewhere else."

Jamie nods, understanding what Sophie was talking about. "Well, I suppose that's good, but kind of intense. But do you think you are ready to face off against Pitch Sophie?"

"I've been ready since this whole thing started big brother." Sophie said, looking him straight in the eyes. "You just weren't ready to let me help the way I am supposed to."

Jamie gently argued, "You are still young Sophie! I don't want to see my sister getting hurt!"

"But sometimes I have to get hurt in order to become stronger and smart enough to fend for myself." Sophie argued back. Jamie didn't say anything to contradict what Sophie said, knowing that it is true and it will be hard for him to see her fight her own battles. Instead of trying to argue with her, he nods his head.

"But just so you know Sophie, if you ever need help, I am here for you." Jamie whispers in comfort.

"As long as we are safe from Pitch, we should be fine right guys?" Monty turns to his friends in agreement.

"Well, it is only for a little while Monty." Claude said as he looks around the area. "Besides, with Bunnymund under Pitch's control, pretty soon we will get company on our hands." He was right, because soon after he said that, Sophie stands up on alert and takes out some eggs that grew legs and puts them on the floor beside her when she jumped off the hill. She also unsheathes her two boomerangs and gets into position to shield her family and friends against the possessed guardians.

North told Claude and Caleb while patting on their shoulders. "You two and I will help Cupcake with Sandy. Tooth and her apprentices should give a hand to Jamie and Sophie while going after Jack and Bunnymund." He straightens up and draws his swords, ready for a fight.

Possessed Jack and Sandman came through one of the tunnels and appeared in the open looking for the guardians and the children while the possessed Bunnmymund was nowhere to be found. Cupcake noticed this quickly as she looked around, warning the other kids. "Watch for unnatural ground movement guys! I think the evil Bunnymund is going to try to sneak up on us." The group nods, keeping their eyes peeled. For that advice, Monty, Pippa, and Jamie shouldn't need to worry about the ground since they could fly, but it wouldn't hurt for them to keep an eye out and be safe than sorry.

Possessed Jack didn't speak or say anything as he glares at Jamie and then slams the end of his staff to the ground, freezing it under a thick sheet of ice. The guardian apprentices who could fly managed to get out of the way, and the twins braced themselves against the cold but for some strange reason when they saw the ice heading toward them, Sophie shielded them by stopping the ice dead in its tracks. Instead of growing, the ice made by Jack Frost was melting and bringing up steam. The ice was getting smaller and smaller with each step that Sophie took while she was walking closer to the possessed guardians.

"By George Caleb!" Claude said in amazement. "Sophie just stopped Jack Frost's ice and is melting it!"

North spoke up in a comment while he watched from afar . "Looks like Pitch is going to get his chestnut roasted on a open fire."

"Well, she does have spring powers, it would make sense if she has it." Caleb shrugs his shoulders, almost wanting to take off his clothes because of the heat. Even Jamie stopped in mid flight to admire this new trick of Sophie's while the ice was melting. He made a mistake of sticking around in the air when a hole opened up beneath him and the possessed Bunnymund sprung out to grab him. Jamie reacted quickly to put the bunny on ice and his hands summoned the frost and ice magic to barrage the rabbit into submission.

Possessed Bunnymund reacted to the cold, and folded his arms over his shoulders, shivering. "Crikey! That's cold! I can't feel my feet!"

"Consider this as payback for when you hit me Pitch!" Jamie states as he scares the rabbit off with his ice. Possessed Bunnymund was about to flee to the tunnel again, but Sophie intercepted him by making the ground close up in front of him.

The battle raged on like nothing you would ever see. Everything was inside the Warren was chaos that even the little eggs would take cover inside of the hill to hide until the whole thing was over. Cupcake, Tooth, Pippa and Monty were busy fighting off against the possessed Sandman, cutting down his sand here and there when it was trying to either strangle one of them or trying to catch one of their members in the group. Monty was shown to be pretty good with using his wings as a sword, and Pippa was shown to have some trouble with them until Tooth told her exactly what she needs to do. Cupcake found it odd at one point when she touched a spot on one of the sand creations that Possessed Sandy did and it went from black to yellow at her touch, although it didn't stick around for very long and the sand reverted back to its blackened state. Usually the dream sand should change when a believer touched it to turn the nightmare back to a dream. She made a note of this in her thoughts as she continued to try to get close to Sandy, but he was making it difficult for her to do so.

Jamie and Sophie gave chase to the possessed Bunnymund and Jack Frost while the twins and North would come up to help them in deflecting an attack from Jack Frost's ice magic and Bunnymund's boomerangs and eggs. Possessed Jack looked like he was about ready to slam into Jamie again, as far as Sophie could see, and she jumped in the way, slamming Jack Frost down to the ground as she wrestled him. Possessed Jack was trying to freeze her on the spot but the frost and ice melted from her shoulders and her legs with each hit. Sophie in return slapped her hands right on his chest much like how a child would try to hit their parents if she didn't get something she thought she wanted. Even though she looked like an adult, she still had the mind of a two year old going on the ultimate temper tantrum.

She then pushed Possessed Jack to the side and knocks him into a hole in the ground, where she entrapped him until she decides what to do with him later. Now her focus was on Bunny. He was going to flee to another tunnel but she threw some exploding eggs to stop him from entering. "Give me my Bunny!" She yelled at the possessed guardian.

"He is mine, and there will be no stoppin' me from bringing fear back to the Earth!" Possessed Bunnymund said as he tapped his foot to make a hole appear beneath her. He was planning to trap her underneath the ground but Sophie redirected the hole to allow her to appear beneath him and she pulled him into the hole with her.

She then tried to wrestle the bunny to the ground like she did with the Possessed Jack Frost, but Bunny was bigger than her and he slapped her in the face to push her away from him as he race through the tunnel to get himself back up to land. Sophie, without crying from the sting he gave her, gave chase inside of the tunnel, blocking off his exits and trying to redirect him to her.

"Bunny stop running away from me!" Sophie called to him. "You never ran away from me! You never hurt me either!"

Her Bunny didn't answer as she chased all the way back up to the surface. She heard him tapping his foot to release Possessed Jack in order for the evil guardian to try taking on her brother. However Jamie was protected by Monty, Pippa and the Tooth Fairy as they went to deflect his attacks so that Jamie could try to knock some sense into the winter spirit.

"Guys! How are we to help out Sophie in getting the Easter Bunny back?" Caleb asked while he and his brother were helping Cupcake in taking on Possessed Sandy.

"Should we decorate the eggs to jog his memory?" Pippa asked as she was flying around to swing the frost magic back from her sharp wings.

Cupcake then yelled out a suggestion to Sophie while she was busy fighting. "Say something crazy like calling the Easter Bunny a different animal!" At that crazy response, the other kids looked at her in utter confusion, the possessed Sandman stopped fighting and looked at her in utter confusion, wondering why she would say that. Cupcake shrugs her shoulders. "What? My parents do that all the time when they argue."

"The only thing our parents argue over the whole time is who gets to spend some time with Claude and me on one of the ball games." Caleb comments, earning a sheepish grin from his brother.

Sophie watched in silence as she got herself back up on her feet as when she got close to the bunny and protected herself with her new Tai Chi move-set to deflect his attacks. She also had to take out her boomerangs and stop the possessed bunny from trying to hit her in the head with his boomerangs. A memory popped into Sophie's head as she remembers sleeping soundly in Bunnymund's arms while Jack Frost sat beside them. 'Look, I'm sorry about... calling you a kangaroo.' She once overheard Jack talking to her bunny when she had accidentally went on a trip to the Easter Bunny's Warren. She didn't understand it at first, but her tired little mind wasn't planning on asking why that apology was necessary. 'Its the accent, isn't it?' She heard Bunny's voice commenting.

She was so focused on that memory that she didn't see the Possessed Bunnymund swinging his feet in a circle to knock her off her feet. She slammed to the ground, acting like she was hurt by him when in reality she wants him to draw closer to her so that she can try to free him. Possessed Bunnymund smiled evilly as he took her boomerangs and her eggs away from her reach. "All of this could have ended if you would just stop your belief child. I hope ye like carrots mate, because I am not sharing anything with you after I am done with you."

Sophie said something under her breath so softly that it didn't reach the ears of the evil guardian. Possessed Bunnymund was confused and asked in a serious voice. "Say that again child?" If the child was going to give him what he wants, Pitch was going to get his wish. It just... didn't go the way he intended.

Sophie spoke her words again, but this time louder. "Your a kangaroo!"

Possessed Bunnymund laughed out loud when he first heard it. "Did you hear that mates? She called me a kangaroo!" But then his eyes twitched from the black beady eyes to the green fighting for control. "Th- The WHAT?! WHAT did you call me?!" Sophie smiled in satisfaction, seeing that one little word worked in gaining Bunnymund's attention. The rabbit walked slowly over till he was an inch away from her, he looked like he wanted to punch something but he was acutely aware of the girl in front of him where he doesn't dare do it. "I am NOT a kangaroo mate!"

Jamie saw Possessed Jack stop fighting him and looked at him as if thinking that he told Sophie to say that word making Bunnymund snap out of his own possession. The boy shrugs his shoulders as he said awkwardly. "Don't look at me! I didn't teach her to say that!"

Sophie continued her taunt. "If you aren't a kangaroo, then what are you mate?"

The real Bunnymund who was trying to break free from his possession leaned in while glaring at the girl, almost getting into her face as he gritted his teeth. "I'm a bunny. The EASTER Bunny!" He convulsed on the ground, backing away from Sophie as he was trying desperately to fight off something that was not on him. Perhaps, Sophie thought, her bunny was breaking free from his prison and is going to give Pitch the boot.

"Bunny, its me! Sophie!" Sophie called to him as the bunny was fighting for control of his body. She got a little too close for comfort because the next thing she knew was that the possessed Bunnymund used his legs to make her trip on the floor and he was about ready to slap the girl right in the face. Sophie quickly shields her face in case it happened, but before Bunnymund's right paw could reach her, it stopped and it was struggling with either going in for the slap or not. Sophie grabbed onto his paw, looking at him with her most cute smile she can come up with.

"Get out Pitch! Nobody. Hurts. My. Little. Ankle-biter!" The real Bunnymund shrieks in his threat. He slumped onto his knees and his head looked down on the ground, breathing heavily from putting up a fight to free his mind and body against Pitch.

Sophie, upon seeing that her bunny was back to normal, reverted back to her two year old body. The world around her grew when she shrunk in size and the dress changed with her again to look small. "Bunny back?" She asks as she attempts to crawl on over to the tired Easter Bunny. She wasn't sure if he was back to the way he was, but she was taking a chance to get close, as how two year old's usually do at times.

Possessed Sandy whipped her hand with his sand, keeping her from getting too close. "I should've just eliminated you before you decided to become a hero and protect your family and friends child! I could always just possess the guardians again and make sure that you never will free them again-" He reached his hand out to punch her in the face, ready to eliminate her for good.

Bunnymund's hand stopped Possessed Sandy's before he could deliver the blow. Sophie didn't even flinch when she spotted the change in Bunnymund. The rabbit looked up at the possessed guardian, opened his eyes to reveal the green has overpowered the black and he grinned slyly. "G'day mate!" Bunnymund delivered a kick with his foot, pushing Possessed Sandy back and he was thrown into the colorful pond where he was covered in pink, green, and yellow paint. Possessed Sandy coughed roughly and gagged at the paint he accidentally got into his mouth and he ran away from the Warren.

Sophie saw that Bunnymund was running at full speed toward Jack Frost and stopped the winter spirit from trying to finish off her brother. "It's been a long time, hasn't it Frostbite? Blizzard of '68 I believe?"

Possessed Jack Frost thought he could taunt the bunny by saying, "Your not still mad about that?"

Bunnymund glared at the winter spirit saying roughly. "Yes!" He swung the boomerang in his right hand in a circle before aiming it at his opponent. A smirk graced his lips like he knows he got him right where he wants him. "And now I can return the favor by giving you a taste of your own medicine. Boys!"

Possessed Jack didn't know what to expect but the next thing he knew was that he got picked up by the yetis who had appeared behind him and stuffed him into the sack once more. They held the sack while Bunnymund gave a swift kick and shoved the sack into a portal, in order to keep him away from the Warren for a while.

Bunnymund chuckled once he put away his weapons. As if to give a message to Pitch, he called out. "Don't even bother to try to possess me again Pitch! I'll make sure your sorry hide will not enjoy a good kick in the rear!" He turned around to see some very surprised faces from the kids who were watching him. "Okay, how did ye little mates get to my Warren?"

The kids didn't say a word as they tried to think about what to say to him. Only Monty broke the ice by exclaiming, "Please don't take my Easter eggs away from me next year! I'll be a good boy and not reveal your secrets!" Jamie, the twins, and Cupcake looked at him flabbergasted at the statement. Pippa acted like she didn't want to be apart of that statement as she looks to the sky, does a little whistling song and turns her back in embarrassment of what Monty said.

"Easy there!" Bunnymund softens his voice and reassures Monty. "I'm not planning on taking away your bag of choppers just because you got yourselves in my home."

"Bunny!" Sophie's voice called out from behind him, and Bunnymund turns around to see the little girl walking up toward him. He was kind of surprised to see her in that little white dress and from what Jamie could see she had lost those boots and is walking barefoot.

"Little Ankle-biter?" Bunnymund said as he crouched down on his knees to her level. "Did you bring them here?" Sophie nods her head to give him his answer. Bunnymund then laughed in amazement. "Now you are an early bird in mastering my tunnels!" He rubbed her head in affection and made her giggle at the tease.

North couldn't help but comment toward his friendly rival. "Your apprentice has mastered more than you realize Bunny. You should've seen how good she was in battling against the other possessed guardians!"

Bunnymund then hopped over to North and pointed one finger to the big guy as if to hush him. "I thought I made it perfectly clear that she wasn't supposed to start until she was older!"

Claude covered for his teacher as he tells Bunnymund, "Sophie kind of... started fighting when she grew up to almost match your height."

"He means that Sophie went to Pitch's Lair to rescue us and bring you back to the Warren for her to battle against Pitch and make him lose control of you." Caleb explains. Bunnymund's eyes widen in surprise as he turns his gaze back to the little girl standing next to him.

"I don't know whether to be egg-cited or not. Honestly wouldn't have thought it would come to this." Bunnymund chuckled. "It is good to be back though."

"Can someone please explain to me why Sophie called the Easter Bunny a kangaroo?" Jamie questioned in confusion, earning a slight wince from the bunny.

Bunnymund slapped his left paw against his face in annoyance, groaning. "Uh! Don't remind me of Jack's little nickname he insulted me with back in the day! To answer that question mate, I don't know how exactly that word got into Sophie's head, but somehow my hatred of that nickname got me to wake up from Pitch's spell and I broke out of his control. Never would have guessed that something Jack used to say to me would turn around and help me out of the mess I was in. He did that because of the accent, and he has never mentioned that word ever since."

Sophie piped up and confessed. "I copy Jack, Bunny. He said it when I was here."

"Your talking about when you came here the night before Easter." Bunnymund said, a little bit confused over how in the world Sophie could copy what someone was saying. He turned to Jamie for an explanation. Jamie told him how Sophie has a terrible habit of copying what other people say when they think she is not paying attention when she really is. "Well, I guess I should thank not only my little ankle-biter for setting me free, but I should also thank Frostbite for mentioning it in the first place before we had to bring her back home."

"Okay, when did Sophie actually come here without me watching her?" Jamie wondered about Sophie's first time of visiting the Warren.

"That was after when we had to knock you out with the dream sand because you saw us when you weren't supposed to mate." Bunnymund replied. "You are just as naughty in causing mischief as Jack Frost kid."

"I would prefer to call that curiosity on that night. I guess Jack was pretty naughty?" Jamie said, finally understanding the history of Jack Frost and the Easter Bunny's rivalry. It was obvious to him from when he first met Jack Frost that those two didn't get along at first and he personally wondered what that was all about.

Hah! Jack Frost holds the record on the naughty list!" North cackled and mentioned this to Jamie when he patted the boys arm. "I cleaned that list off once he became a guardian." Claude and Caleb looked at their teacher in amazement, although Claude was more jealous than amazed at that information.

"Hey guys, how about we take a break from going after Pitch and try to relax in the Warren?" Tooth suggested, which gained an agreement between the kids and the guardians.

"A really great way to relax in the Warren is by painting some Easter eggs. Come on kids, allow me to show you how I get my eggs ready." Bunnymund said as he places Sophie on his back and leads the other kids to the hills where the eggs were waiting.
