Hey guy! So I know I said Ash was Champion in Kanto and Johto in my first Author's note, but I'm changing that to Master. Since there is no specific definition of a Pokémon Master, in my Pokéverse a Master is someone who's beat the Champions of all six regions (even though I started this when there were only five.) I know some people say to become Master you need to catch 'em all. But let's face it Ash would never be master if that were the case. And to clarify the Frontier Brain thing. Since he's Master, I feel like he'd help

out with the Frontier Brains, help out the Gym Leaders (in Hoenn mostly, since that's where he lives.)

Cover your eyes, so you don't know the secret

Benji couldn't believe his eyes. Standing mere feet from him was his mom, as in the woman he's spent years dreaming to meet, picturing what life would be with her there. And here she is, tangible, not something imaginative. Rory looked from her mother to the strange boy beside her. Why was he staring at her mom? It was getting creepy, the two were having some form of a stare down.

"Okay well since he's not doing anything. I, Aurora Waterflower, challenge you to a Pokémon battle." she repeated, gaining the attention of both Misty and Benji.

"Hey! I was here before you! I get to challenge her. Wait your turn." Benji snapped, turning to face the girl. Who did she think she was, trying to take his spot. The girl's eyes narrowed at him as she placed her hands on her hips.

"Well I'm sorry you were too busy staring at her to actually do anything. Honestly, she's twice your age boy, you have no chance." Benji's jaw dropped. Oh Kyogre, what she inferred was just disgusting. That's his mom for crying out loud! Then again, the girl didn't really know that, how would she, she's just a girl traveling who happened to run into a boy who'd just met his estranged mother.

"Aurora," the woman warned, her blue-green eyes narrowing at the girl, "be nice."

Rory looked down at her feet, swinging her arms behind her, "Yes mommy." she said quietly, rocking on the balls of her feet. Benji's head shot towards the girl, did she just call his mom "mommy"? As in they share a parent? No it couldn't be, could it? His mom had moved on to have another family that quick while his dad was still somewhat trying to move on? Benji decided to get a good look at the girl. She was a bit short statured with a thin frame. She had long light brown hair that was pulled into a loose ponytail, her bangs clipped back. But her eyes, though hidden behind a pair of black-rimmed glasses, were the exact shade and shape as the woman standing before them; the same eyes he possessed. And the three of them had the same nose.

Crap.

She truly was his sister. Kyogre! He had a sister! After years of pent-up jealously towards his friends for their families, he's had his mother before him as well as his own sibling! Benji looked around for a chair to seat down in, this was too much for him.

Rory turned towards the other and asked, "So are you going to challenge her? You kind of snapped at me, so before I ask her again I figured I should run it by you." Benji glared slightly at the other -at his sister. Was battling the only thing on her mind?

The woman rubbed his temples before saying, "I will battle neither of you, you will battle each other." before turning around, "Follow me." and heading towards the gym.

We held our breath, to see our names are written

Will looked down at the battle field, Benji standing on one end, the girl on the other. Why couldn't Benji battle the gym leader? He looked over a the other two spectators, the two Benji's opponent was traveling with.

"Why are they battled each other?" he asked the dark-haired girl. "Because of Kanto regulations. Relatives, can't versus relatives. If it is found out a mother versus her child, or a sibling versus their sibling, your badge can, and will be, taken away for the probability of the leader going easy on their family member." she said, not taking her eyes off of the arena. So Benji wouldn't be able to versus his mom? He finds out she's a gym leader only to be told he has to versus this random girl?

He frowned, so if he had versed his mother, Benji would be in jeopard of not being allowed to take part in the Plateau.

On the wreck of '86. That was the year I knew the panic was over

She looked down at the Pokéball and sighed, she was onto her last Pokémon. This was it. He had called out his swampert, after her Mankey defeated his Sandshrew. He had no more Pokémon to call as his Farrow was defeated by her Pidgeotto. "Shellshocker." she said, "Let's win this."

Her Squirtle walked from his spot to the slide lines before jumping into the water and swimming to the small platform he'd be battling from. Benji had never seen such determination before. Especially from a Squirtle that was gearing up from a battle against a Swampert.

"Alright Marsh, mud shot." Benji called, watching as his Pokémon made the first move. "Shellshocker." was all Rory said and her Squirtle had jumped out of the line of fire. Never once had Marsh's mud shot missed.

"Bite." she said, watching as her Pokémon implemented the move. He even landed the hit. What was going on?! Why was he losing. They went back and forth between a few moves, landing a hit here, successfully dodging there, but a beam of light flashed through the room

"Tortle." was all that was heard before the light dissipated. There stood a Wartortle where the small Squirtle had once stood.

"Alright!" Rory cheered before yelling, "Way to go Shellshocker!" Did her Pokémon evolve mid-battle?! His dad told him about that happening, but that's never happened with him. His always evolves at the end of a battle, or while training. "Rapid spin!" she called out and before Benji could even register what was happening his Swampet was down for the count.

"Aurora wins the battle."

Since we found out. That anything could happen, anything could happen

Benji looked over at the girl before him. She had won. He was a veteran, on his third year and she had defeated him with possibly less than three months of training under her belt. He watched as his, their, mother handed her the Cascade badge. He did have to give her credit. She was an incredible trainer. Her squirtle - scratch that wartortle - was completely in tune with everything she'd say. Dad said Pikachu wouldn't listen to him when they first became partners and yet her Pokémon could practically read her mind.

He glanced down at his pokéball and smiled, Marsh had battled great. He gave his all. So had his whole team. He was proud of them. His was proud of his sister. Will clapped him on the back and said he'd beat her next time, though it was an empty promise. Will probably just said that to get his hopes up, not realizing Benji wanted to get to know her. To meet his sister.

After the war we said we'd fight together

Will glanced about, looking for a good place to set up camp. The three of them had walked for ages. He needed to eat and sleep, like now. Benji was taking a leak, while Henry was balancing his hacky sack on his right foot. Yup, Will was going to be stuck finding a good place to settle for the night. He began to walk in one direction when he heard a few voices talking and the sweet scent of cooked food. Maybe they could mooch off whoever it was. He began to follow his senses, calling over to Henry that he'd be right back, there was another camp near by.

He walked passed a few trees into a clearing, only to laugh. There before him were several other trainers, one of which was the infamous Aurora Waterflower. The girl who kicked Benji's ass. She was sitting in between the brown-haired girl she was traveling with and another boy. Possibly someone they had run across. Or maybe someone they actually knew. The three of them were from Kanto.

The girl looked up and shook her head, "May we help you?" she asked, in the same cocky tone she spoke in during her match, while brushing her bangs aside. "Yeah. I was looking for a place to crash and run into you guys." The boy she was traveling with didn't look happy at the idea. Another boy added to their camp. It was bad enough they had run into this group as well as Rory's cousins. Now there was this one?

He watched as Aurora glanced from face-to-face. "Alright. We're having dinner now." she said, emphasizing her point by raising the spoon to her lips. "So you can join us after we're done. It's terribly rude to interrupt a person's dinner." she said with a smirk before continuing to eat her stew.

In that moment, Will knew one thing and one thing only. He liked this girl.

Letting darkness grow as if we need its palette and we need its colour

Olivia laid down on her sleepingbag staring up at the sky, wondering about the guys. Had they made it to Kanto? Had they won any badges? Her brother said he was battling this year right? She looked over at Jocelyn, who was mixing together some sort of soup. "How do you think the guys are doing?" she asked, rolling onto her stomach to be able to see her friend better.

"When you say guys, do you mean the guys, or a singular guy?" Jocelyn asked, not taking her eyes off the soup she was concocting. Jocelyn knew the way Liv's mind worked. Make it seem like she's talking about the three amigos and then somehow transition into talking about Joce's brother. It was kind of annoying knowing your best friend had the biggest crush on your brother. And Liv tries to play it off as if she isn't hopelessly in love with him. Please, everyone and their mother knows. Rayguaza, even Will knows.

"I mean all of them." Liv said, propping herself up onto her elbows. "I'm genuinely concerned about my brother's wellbeing, your brother's wellbeing, possibly Benji's." Jocelyn rolled her eyes, "Just remember the code." she said before tasting the food. Not bad... not the best, but they've had worse.

Liv glared at her best friend before laying back down on the ground. So what if she had a crush on her best friend's brother. He was cute, and a really good trainer - not better than Benji, cause who is? -, and actually decently smart. But she had sworn to the friend code; thou shall not date thy brother of thy best friend.

And that code sucked. Jocelyn made her promise she'd never date Will because a friend wouldn't date another friend's sibling. Maybe she could find another Will, like his clone or something along the way.

"Hey, does this taste alright to you?" Jocelyn asked, holding out the spoon.

"If it's made by you, it probably isn't edible."

Stripped to the waist. We fall into the river

The woman took a deep breath before brushing her bangs from her face. Sitting down in her chair, she picked up the handset and punched in a number she knew by heart. The phone rang for a while and she was contemplating hanging up before she heard a drowsy, "Hello?"

"Forrest!" was all she had to say before the video screen light up with the face of the man she had just called. "Misty? Hey, what's up?" he asked, placing the handset back onto the bell, opting for a video call instead of a phone call. "Did you get any, you know, interesting challengers recently?" she asked as sweetly as she could. Forrest shook his head, "No I've been at the conference for the past few weeks. With you." Misty made a face at his statement. True. Forrest had been at the meeting. Then who would have-

"Is Brock there?" she asked quietly, not knowing how this conversation would go. "Uh yeah, let me get him." Forrest said before getting up. Things had been awkward between her and Brock ever since the incident nine years ago. Misty had never told him why she left, even though Brock had asked her on multiple occasions. Each time she usually breaks down and Gary somehow always seems to find her and rescue her. Brock also didn't know about Liam. Brock knew nothing about Misty's current life except what he's seen at meetings he's attended in Forrest's place. He knew she was raising Rory, mostly because that was obvious, that she was dating Rudy, and had attempted to divorce Ash on several occasions.

She knew about five - possibly a sixth - people associated with the League who knew about Liam. Gary, and his awesome wife Leaf, Blaine, Surge, and Forrest. Well and her sisters, but they don't count. Though Forrest swore he'd never tell a soul, specifically a soul named Brock. She had come back to the League after giving birth to Liam, so no one had seen her pregnant except for Surge and Blaine. Forrest found out when he come to pick her up for a meeting.

"Misty." Brock said, with a fake smile plastered to his face. So it was going to be one of those days huh? "Hey, sorry to bother you, but I was just wondering if you had gotten any interesting-"

"Stop beating around the bush, if you're ask if Benji's in Kanto. He is." Brock said with a straight face. She noticed Forrest leaning against the door frame in the background. "Misty, did you verse him?" Forrest asked sweetly, unlike his brother, knowing this was a very sensitive topic for the woman. "No I didn't. Rory did." she said, placing her head and her hands. "I came up with a billion and one excuses as to why I couldn't versus him every time he came to the gym. 'Sorry, my Pokémon are at the Pokémon Center.' 'Oh sorry I just battled your friend, my Pokémon are too tired.' 'I'm actually out of Cascade badges at the moment.' I'm going to explode or this kid is going to kill me. I'm not allowed to versus him because if they found out I battled him he could lose the badge and not be allowed into the Plateau and he came to versus the gym leader n-"

"Just fucking battle him." Brock said before getting up and leaving. Misty watched as her old friend left before the tears spilled down her face. "Ignore him Misty, please?"

"How can I?! He was my best friend and now he's fucking hated me for years. I'm sorry you've only heard Ash's side of the story, but I have a side too! And it kills me each and every day!" she barely made out, as she openly cried in front of the young gym leader.

"Misty."

"He lost to Rory, then won against his friend. He has the badge, it's just I wish I was able to versus him, or even tell him why I couldn't." she started before trying to wipe away the tears, "It takes more than just insemination to be called a parent."

I know it's gonna be. I know it's gonna be

Benji couldn't believe it as he stared at the group of kids in front of them. Did Will actually find his sister and wanted them to camp with them? She was with her two traveling companions and about seven other people, looking extremely relaxed. Henry shrugged before walking over to the group.

"Hey I'm Henry, that's Benji, and you guys have met Will already." he said, introducing their trio of ragtag trainers. One of the girls sitting around their small fire, brushed aside her black hair and smiled. "Hey, uh I'm Acadia, this is my brother Orion." she said, gesturing to the dark-haired male beside her. "Next to Orion, is Cliff and then Aspen." Two boys, one with dark magenta colored hair, the other with navy blue hair. "Then there's- crap I'm sorry dear, what's your name again?" she said, turning towards the boy sitting between Aspen and Aurora. He smiled and said, "Adrian."

"Sorry right, Adrian. Next to him is Rory - but I'm guessing you guys have met - and next to her is Hallie." she said, gesturing towards Aurora and her friend. Was Rory her nickname? "Then there's Hallie's twin Jack. And the three over there's Mo, Larry, and Curley." she said, glaring at the other three.

There were three boys sitting next to Jack looking extremely smug. They weren't there when Will had found the group. "We won a bet." the middle boy said, "I beat I couldn't beat Mr. Big Shot over there." he said, pointing to Orion. "And we get to stay with them for the night and get feed. I'm Ross, this is Hank, and that's Mac."

"You should have versed Rory. It would have been a fair fight." The girl - Hallie right? - sneered. "Please, challenging a first year trainer who happens to be a girl? That's practically just cheating." Rory glared at the three but didn't say anything. Benji turned his head to the side.

He had seen her battle, he had witnessed it first hand. She knew everything there was to know about Pokémon. And her squirtle was strong as hell. Why wouldn't she tell them off. Will rolled his eyes before sitting down in an empty spot in front of the fire. He was tired and hungry, he wasn't in the mood for pompous assholes.

I was playing a dress up game on Rinmarugames and somehow I ended up making Rory and I was like I HAVE TO UPDATE THIS! I MISS WRITING ABOUT MY BABIES! EVEN THOUGH THIS ISN'T A GREAT CHAPTER!

I know there hasn't been much on Jocelyn and Liv yet, but next chapter I promise, you'll find out everyone's - except Benji's cause y'all already know that one - dreams and goals and a bit more into their characters.

AND I'M LEARNING HOW TO WRITE BATTLES BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW HOW TO D: And I have beaten people using a weaker Pokémon so that's why Rory is boss.
