A Certain Stylish Devil

Epilogue

(Plan for the future ahead from the present)

In the room where Crowley was, Stiyl and Tsuchimikado were there as his audience and were discussing how the whole demon invasion was covered up. "I have to say this is quite the set up. Even for you." Stiyl spoke.

The man in the container quietly laughed. "I had to call in many favors and pull many strings in order to keep this a secret. After all, this kind of thing cannot get out or else it would've spelled disaster for us all."

Tsuchimikado had to agree with him but there was a still one issue left. "While that may be true, you seem to leave out a few who do still remember. Are you slipping up?"

Again Crowley laughed. "I make no such mistakes. I simply let them be. It will be a memory worthy of being remembered for their lives and will not be able to tell. For now let us focus on the recovery of the city. I doubt there will be any sudden movements anytime soon."

Well with the demon threat now gone, they would only have to focus on the threats from the magic side again. Not ideal but it was better. Stiyl did have one problem though. "What did you use as a cover story?"

B

"In other news, there is still no explanation on how an earthquake was strong enough to destroy many parts of Academy City however the death toll is very high from students to adults. Even though it was a difficult time, the city will recover from this."

"Bullshit!" Nero changed the channel on the TV. It has been over a week since the fight against Mundus and things were starting to return to normal. Even the language barrier. Yes after a few hours after the fight, Mikoto and Kuroko started speaking in their natural tongue except for Dante who was still speaking in English. Thankfully Hibiki was fluent in both so translations weren't too bad. Still he and the rest of the gang were holed up in Dante's new hotel room since his old was destroyed by account of the demon invasion for the whole week since airlines were still down for the moment. So now all of them were hanging out in Dante's room and Nero was not happy with the news. Thankfully the captions had an option of English captions. "An earthquake? Really? Who's going to buy into that crap?"

"Apparently the masses." Lady answered. "Besides who's going to believe that a demon invasion happened in a city of science?"

"That and it would probably be bad publicity for it." Trish added.

Dante had his sixth slice of pizza. "Right like something shady happening in this city is happening right now." He was still wondering why magicians of all people are doing in a city of science in the first place.

"By the way Dante, where's the kid?" Lady asked.

He just sighted. "Riley is with the two brats on their way to pick up the only guy can fix this damn language barrier we have." Dante didn't realize how much of a pain it was for not understanding what Kuroko and Mikoto were saying a few hours after. They came by time to time to check up on how he was doing. Suddenly there was a few knocks on the door. "Ah speak of the devil. That must be them with him." Dante stood up and walked over to the door.

He opened it. "Dante!"

"Ahh!" A small unknown force tackled him to the ground. He groaned. "What the hel-Patty?!" The young blonde smiled at him. "What the hell are you doing here?"

"Hey there Dante."

The devil hunter looked behind Patty to see Morrison at the doorway. "Morrison? Why are you and Patty here?"

"That would be our part." Morrison moved aside and Mikoto and Kuroko entered the room along with Akira who had bandages wrapped around his head. He must've used his power on the two girls because they were speaking English again. "We ran into them in the hospital and they were talking to Akira. We were surprised that they were acquaintances of you Dante." Mikoto still couldn't believe he had a little girl hang out with him and knows about the dangers he gets into.

"After Akira used his power on those two, we introduced ourselves and we kinda hit off with Patty. Boy did she have some funny stories about you." Kuroko giggled. She's still laughing about the time Dante as still pissed at her for eating his strawberry sundae.

Morrison groaned at that. "I must admit it was very strange talking in another language."

Akira laughed. "It was a very interesting conversation. I had everyone's language turned to English so we can have a proper conversation with you."

That brought up another topic they wanted to ask. "Why are you two here anyway? In fact how did you two get over here? Last I check the airport was still closed for the time being." Lady stated.

"I think I can answer that." Riley showed up and entered the room. "It was my grandfather. They told me that he sent them on one of the private jets. They have special access. That and well the airport is back to being open." She smiled at the group. "So now all of you have a ride back home."

Well that was good news to them. That means they could finally leave this country. However that also meant that Dante was going to leave after all this time. "So when do we leave?" Nero asked.

Riley giggled nervously. "Well…not until later today. That means you can spend your last day with us!"

There was one more question to be asked. "What about you?" Dante asked. "You going to stay here or be coming with us back to your grandpa?"

Again the other young blonde smiled. "Well…since the monsters are now gone, grandpa decided I should remain here continuing my education right after he got a call from you a few days ago." Dante recalled telling the old man about that. He was beyond overjoyed that his granddaughter was now ok.

He turned to Morrison and Patty. "I'm guessing he sent the two of you get the rest of us huh?"

Morrison nodded at the question. "Yep and trying to see the sights beforehand. Patty couldn't sit still throughout the entire ride."

Speaking of which, Patty glared at Dante. "So where is it?"

The devil hunter looked at her confusedly. "Where's what?"

Now she was slightly angry. "The summer dress I told you to get before you left! You did remember to get one didn't you?!" Now that he thought about it, he did recall something like that but quickly forgot it. Patty could just see at on his face. "You did forget didn't you?!" Mikoto and Kuroko giggled to themselves. It was funny seeing a kid younger than them scolding the very man who sent the king of hell back to hell. "Seriously! Can't you do anything right?!"

Akira laughed as he walked up to her. "If you want, I can get you that. I'll be no problem at all."

Patty turned to the man and her face brightens. "Really? Thank you so much!"

Lady stretched out her arms. "Well if we're not leaving until later, I can pick up a few souvenirs. What about the two of you?" Lady asked Nero and Trish.

Trish smiled at the thought. "Sure. Sounds like fun."

Nero also liked it. "I guess I can get a few things for Kyrie."

Riley looked at Kuroko and Mikoto. "What about you two? Are you going to join us?"

Kuroko shook her head. "Sorry but I still have official Judgment duties to do. With the city as it is now, you know people will start to cause trouble."

Mikoto raised her hand. "I have some time to spare. I would love to accompany you."

One out of two wasn't bad. Akira clapped his hands together. "Great. Now there's only one more thing to do."

B

The city was still being in repairs after the "earthquake" last week. It seemed that anyone who had the memory of the demon invasion acted like it didn't happen. Why Dante and the others still remember it they have no clue. Then again it might be for the better. People living in a city of science might not take the whole demon thing seriously. Some of the schools started back up while some were still closed. Shops were back up as well. It was like the whole thing never happened. Another thing is that all of the people who were missing suddenly returned and had no recollection of what happened.

Right now Dante and co were at a park where there were some vendors. Patty was with Riley and Kuroko while Trish and Lady were off somewhere. Nero who had his arm covered up, Akira, Morrison, and Dante were sitting on a bench just enjoying the day. Dante just sighed. "Bored Dante?" Morrison asked in Japanese. He still found it strange to be talking in a different language.

He looked at sky. "Well things got back to normal pretty quick. I'm about done with the place."

Akira laughed. "Ready to go back huh eh Dante-san?"

The devil hunter looked at the younger brother. "Eh maybe but what about you? Sure you'll hole up good by yourself? Your own brother turned out to be demon. In fact I'm still surprised you're still alive."

Akira's smiled quickly faded. "I'm surprised myself. I sure I was about to die but that…thing didn't kill me. I always wondered why though. Maybe foolish but I do believe that my brother was still in there somewhere. Then again it might've been my imagination."

"Don't sell yourself short." The younger brother turned to Dante. "Humans might be weaker than demons but they are stronger other ways. Your brother must've held out to the very end."

Nero laughed at what the devil hunter said. "So you can be a sympatric ass when you want to be." Dante laughed in return as he remembered Mikoto saying something similar. He looked at Mikoto who was having a good time with the other girls. "So what about the girl? What's going to happen to her now that she and her friends are demons?"

Dante just stretched out his arms. "Eh I'm not too worried about that. The kid and her friends can handle themselves. After all, they managed to live through this whole thing. I'm sure they'll be fine." Well he sounded confident in them. Still they were exposed to a dangerous world but impressive they survived this long and made it through to the end.

"I'm no expert on this sort of thing but I have to agree with Dante." Morrison spoke. "Those kids are a strong bunch. They'll make it through."

Speaking of which, Mikoto was having a blast with Riley and Patty. The younger of the two blondes was having so much fun with them. "I really like your outfit Mikoto." Apparently she was mixing up her English with her Japanese.

"It's Mikoto-san Patty-san and it's a school uniform. She attended a school called Tokiwadai which is one of the five most prestigious schools in Academy City."

Patty was very amazed to hear that. "That's incredible. So where is it?" It appeared what the young blond asked bothered the electromaster. "Oh I'm sorry. Maybe I should've asked that."

Mikoto shook her head. "No it's all right. You see the demons destroyed the school and killed most of the students there. Since this whole thing is over now, I would like to think they can all rest in peace now."

She had a serene look on her face. Mikoto was really glad this was all over but she knew very well that she couldn't return back to her normal life. How would her mom react to this? "So what are you going to do now?" Riley asked. "Now that the demons are gone."

It was still a weird feeling for the electromaster. Everything was now done. There were no demons threating her life, no danger to her friends, nothing. The only thing that changed is that people will never remember what happened despite what did happen a week ago. Still this kind of normalcy was strange with her. The electromaster smiled. "I don't really know but maybe that's the fun of it. I'm sure I'll figure it out something." One of those somethings was finally asking out Kuroko before the whole Hell Star Formation event started. Speaking of which, Mikoto wondered how she was doing. Not only her but everyone else who was affected by this whole thing.

B

A rouge ESPer was running away from Kotori and Kuroko. Even though Kuroko could easily catch the guy, she decided to let him run anyway. After dealing with demons for so long, catching rouge criminals seems like child's play. Right now she was on top of a building while Kotori was chasing after the guy. She heard static coming out of her communicator. "Shirai-san, he took a turn around the corner close to your location."

Kuroko put her finger on the device. "Acknowledged. Thanks." That was another thing Kuroko noticed. It seemed that her superior and Katsumi had no recollection of the demon invasion. It was like their memory was wiped off but Uiharu and Saten still remembered. It was a mystery but at this point she was used to weird things happening. Kuroko teleported where the crook ran away to but as she appeared where he was, she was surprised that he was instantly frozen. The teleporter knew all too well who it was.

Hibiki removed his hand from the perp and looked at her. "Yo Shirai-san."

Konori caught up with Kuroko was equally surprised to see an old face again. "Hibiki?"

The ice ESPer smiled at her. "Yo Nii. You seem to be doing well." He walked up to the two girls.

Konori was struggling to find the next words to speak. "H-How? Where have you been?" The last time she saw him, he was torn about letting a civilian die.

Hibiki smiled at her. "Around. I'm sure you're still drinking milk." He decided to cut to the chase. "I'll make this quick. You think I can join back up with Judgement?"

That was a question Konori though she would never hear from him. "You want to be back in Judgement?"

The ice ESPer nodded at the question. "Yes. This may be quite the surprise but Shirai-san and I met each other a while ago and she reminded me what it was like to fight for what is right again. She's a talented officer I'll you that."

Now Konori was completely speechless. It took her a few seconds to find the words. "I-I'm not sure but it would be great for you to return. I'll have to ask."

Hibiki chuckled. "I'll take that. Can you leave Shirai-san and I alone for a few minutes?" Konori didn't object and left the two alone for a bit. He looked at Kuroko. "So does she have any memory about what happened?"

Kuroko shook her head. "No which is strange. I wonder what happened. The same could be said for Katsumi-san."

The ice ESPer sighed. "Maybe that's for the best. Something like demons may prove to be too much for her."

The teleporter had to agree with that. Kuroko herself had a hard time believing of what she was dealing. "So are you really going to return to Judgement?"

Hibiki started walking and walked past her. "I am thought I'm not sure how long it'll take. However I do look forward working with you sometime in the future Shirai-san." He continued walking until he reached the end of the ally. That's where he stopped. "By the way, I suggest you make your move on Railgun. It's not too late you know." With that he left her behind. He turned around the corner to see Konori standing around. He smiled at her. "I'll see you around later…Nii."

She just looked at him as he walked away. Konori smiled at the thought of him returning to Judgement. "Same here."

B

With the other demon ESPers, Kurumi and Kureha were just hanging out on top of a building. Kurumi stretched out her arms. "Another day, another way to spend some time out." She lay down on the concreate floor. "So have you thought about what you're going to do?"

Kureha looked out to the city. "I'm still not sure but it's still better than the direction I was going before. What about you? Have you thought of anything?"

The other girl grinned. "Maybe thinking about joining up with Judgment. Might as well do something good with this power I got. That and I might get to work with Kuro-chan again." Kurumi was giddy with the thought.

"You do know that she's interested in someone else you know?" The former Shade pointed out.

Kurumi just shrugged. "True but hey, I'm still not giving up. Isn't that what you're doing? Besides I'm sure there's someone out there for me." She pulled out the necklace her former lover had meant to give her. "I know she wouldn't want me to give up either."

Kureha giggled. "I'm sure she wouldn't. As for me, a journey of self-discovery doesn't sound so bad. Who knows, I might find a girl for myself."

The younger girl jumped up. "That's the spirit! What do you say we start that now?" She held out her hand to her.

Kureha gladly accepted it. "That would be wonderful."

B

Nia took a bite out of her crepe. After the whole thing last week and suddenly kissing Misaki out of nowhere, the two girls thought to try going out together. Needless say the Queen hasn't felt this happy in quite a while. Her time with Nia was enjoyable. That is until Nia sensed something and Misaki received a sudden shock. They heard laugher. "Got ya."

Nia couldn't believe who it was. "Sister?!"

Chimera smiled at her. "Hey there Nia."

The younger twin laughed as she hugged Chimera for the first time. "You're here. You're really here. In front of me!"

The older twin happily returned the hug. Misaki however was not as thrilled as she stood up back up. "H-How? How do you have your own body?!"

The two separated and Chimera grinned at the Queen. "Long story short, you can thank those demon jackasses why I am here. So why are you here with my sister?"

Misaki was a bit hesitant to answer that. Nia not so much. "We're on a date."

And just like that, the level five blonde thought she was screwed. Chimera was very protective of her younger sister. Sure enough the older twin glared at her. Misaki put up her hands in front of her. "N-Now hold on. I haven't done anything to her if that's what you think." She thought she was so screwed.

And she thought right as Chimera walked closer to her and looked at Misaki straight in the eye. "Listen up your majesty." The other blonde gulped. "You better treat my sister right because if you treat her like one of your little pawns, I will fry you extra crispy and I'll make sure you'll feel it painfully. You got that?" Misaki nodded quickly because she knew Chimera meant every word. "Good." She backed off and turned to her sister. "Have fun with the rest of you date sis."

Chimera began to walk away from the two girls. "Wait a minute!" She stopped and turned around to see her sister. "This is the first time we can speak to each other outside. You can join us if you like." Nia was being very hopeful that her sister would accept the offer.

Her older sister laughed. "Sure why not? I'll make sure not to get into your way." She started to walk back to them. "But if I am going to stay here, I might need a new name. Care to think any?"

Nia tried to think of one but couldn't think of any. Misaki had one but wasn't sure the older sister would like it. "Maybe…Mia?" It was a stupid suggestion but it was all she had.

To her surprise, Chimera smiled at it the suggestion. "Not a bad there your majesty. I kinda like it."

Nia laughed as she hugged her sister again. "All right it's settled then. It's nice to meet you…Mia."

B

As for the members of ITEM, well Frenda was still all too glad to see Mugino again. Still they were having a hard time believing what she was telling them. "So let me get this straight. You saw the Railgun in some monster form fighting another monster?"

Mugino took a sip out of her drink. "Well I wasn't sure if it was Railgun but it did have that sense of familiarly. Still it was thanks to her I was able to return. What about you three?"

The other three girls sighed at the same time. "Well you might find this a bit hard to believe but I'm sure you'll agree." Rikou spoke.

"Super agree indeed." Saiai added.

B

Kongo was also enjoying her time with her friends at a cafe. She enjoyed life more so than usual. However her friends didn't understand why. "What has you so happy about Kongo-sama?" Wannai asked.

The other girl looked at her and smiled. "It's nothing. It's just that I'm very grateful to have the two of you." What was strange to her was her friends don't seem to remember what happened last week. It was probably for the best though. They might not believe what she told them anyway.

Awatsuki smiled at Kongo. "And we're grateful to have you as a friend as well Kongo-sama."

Kongo raised her drink. "Then let us say cheers for our renewed friendship!"

The other two raised their drinks as well. "Cheers!" All of them clinked their drinks together.

B

Saten and Uiharu were still in still in the Judgement office. After everything that's happened recently, they were more than welcome to going back their normal lifestyle. Well for Uiharu at least. Saten still wanted to know more about the supernatural world. Still they were having a hard time believing that Katsumi didn't remember what happened last week. "Come on you have to have remembered the whole demon invasion thing. They were everywhere!"

Again Katsumi shook her head. "I don't remember something like that. Maybe that earthquake knocked a few more screws loose in that head of yours Saten-san."

Uiharu giggled at the joke. The other girl sighed. "Man are you kidding me? You just don't forget something like that."

The flower girl drew her friend close to her. "Maybe it's for the best. Let's just keep this between us and our friends." She whispered into her ear.

Saten sighed at the words. She hated to admit it but Uiharu was right. Still it would've cool to have something related to what happen last week. While she was still close to Uiharu, Saten suddenly lifted up her skirt. "Huh…strawberries." That resulted with Saten being punched by her friend on the head.

B

Accelerator was just lazing about in a new apartment while Last Order was running around. He still had no idea what caused all of that commotion from last week. Suddenly the door opened and Aiho walked in. "Hey how are you feeling?" He just ignored her. "Apparently fine."

As she walked over to the other room, Accelerator wondered why she didn't remember what happened last week. Then again he could really care less. He suddenly felt a weight on his body and saw Last Order on him. "What you thinking about Misaka Misaka asks wondering what is going on in your mind."

The former strongest just shoved her off. "None of your damn business. Now get off." The younger girl did just that. As for what he was thinking about, well he had no time for that. He would just rather let things happen the way they're supposed to be.

B

Speaking of a boy and a young girl, Touma and Index were also glad this whole thing was over. Touma had a feeling the church was responsible for wiping the entire city's memory away. How they did that was beyond him. "Touma!" He looked at the little nun. "I'm hungry! When are we going to have lunch?!"

The level zero sighed. "We'll get something to eat. I promise." Speaking of pains, he wondered how Mikoto was doing. Ever since he heard she was involved with all of this demon business, he was sure she was freaking out really badly. He chuckled to himself. "Knowing her, she's probably fine. She can take on a few demons."

"Touma!"

Touma groaned at Index's impatience. "All right I'm coming! Jeez!"

B

The whole day passed by quickly in the city and soon it was sunset. It was also close to Dante's and other's departure time. Everyone was in front of the plane Patty and Morrison rode when they arrived. Kuroko appeared just in time to say goodbye with everyone else. After a short change in language, Patty was the first to wave goodbye. "It was nice meeting you all and thanks for the dress. Oh and this cute frog thing too!" She smiled at the other group.

Riley waved back at her. "Goodbye and thank you for all of your help!"

Trish, Lady, and Nero waved back. "Well at least this place wasn't totally boring. I managed to get some good stuff." Lady spoke.

"You and me both." Trish added.

Nero chuckled. "I'm sure Kyrie is worried about me. Hopefully she'll like these things." He lifted up a bag to him.

Soon everyone but Dante entered the plane. Soon he turned around and started to walk to the entrance. "Dante!" He stopped and turned around to look at Mikoto and Kuroko. The level five smiled at him. "It was…really great meeting you!"

Dante just chuckled and smiled at them. "Wish I could say the same but you two are still a couple of annoying brats. Demons or not." He gave them a salute. "Adios." With that, he entered the plane and the door closed.

Kuroko scoffed at what he said. "Of course he would say that." Everyone moved away so the plane could take off. The engines roared and the plane started to move. It quickly took off into the sky. As Mikoto and Kuroko watch the plane high into the air, everyone else who was involved watched the same plane.

As it disappeared from their eyes, Riley and Akira started to walk away. Riley turned around and noticed that the two girls were still looking at the sky. "Are you two coming?"

The two girls looked behind at her. "We'll catch up. See you at the house!" Mikoto waved at her. Riley smiled at them and ran to catch up with Akira. Now it was only them alone. The older turned to the teleporter. "Hey Kuroko…"

The younger turned to her. "What is it Sissy?"

To Kuroko's surprise, Mikoto just closed the distance between their faces and their lips met. Kuroko was beyond surprised that the girl she loved was kissing her just out of the blue. Well that was one of her fantasies realized. Before she could return the kiss, Mikoto pulled away. "If there's one I realized throughout this entire thing, it's you're important to me. When I saw you take that hit for me, I thought I was going to lose you forever. Ever since we became demons, not once have I not thought of you. I don't want another chance wasted so I'll just say this now." Mikoto slightly blushed. "Kuroko…will you…" It was more embarrassing to say those words than she thought.

Thankfully Kuroko understood as she grabbed Mikoto's head to draw her into another kiss. This one was more passionate as expected from her. It was Mikoto's turn to return the kiss. That feeling she had before just exploded inside her chest. They pulled out due to the lack of oxygen. "Like that needed an answer from me." That was another fantasy Kuroko fulfilled. The two interlocked their fingers with each other and looked at each other in the eye. "I love you sissy."

Hearing those words made Mikoto warm and fuzzy inside. She smiled back at her. "Yeah…I…love you too Kuroko." She struggled saying those words but managed to pull through. Saying those words brought much greater joy than she thought. "So…what should we do next?"

Both girls looked at the city. Kuroko smiled. "I'm sure whatever happens next, we'll be ready for it. If those demons do come back, they'll have us to deal with."

Mikoto chuckled at those words. "They sure will. Let's go home Kuroko." In an instant, both girls disappeared from site and off to live their lives out together.

B

Several days later

After what happened back in Academy City, life in Devil May Cry returned as usual. Dante was just sitting around at his desk while Patty was watching TV. "So…" Patty spoke up. "When are you getting paid? You managed to save granddaughter and we haven't heard of him."

Dante just stretched out. "Relax. I'll get paid soon enough. This paycheck was worth of what I was going through." Still from something as simple as kidnapping to fighting against an old foe was quite the jump for him. Nevertheless he got the job done and Riley was now safe and sound. Suddenly the door opened and Morrison entered. "Ah Morrison. You got word yet?"

He stopped in front of Dante. "Yeah about that…" Dante didn't like the sound of that. Good reason too since he saw Trish, Lady, and Nero enter the building as well.

Now the devil hunter stood up. "What the hell is this about?"

Lady smiled at him. "Well Dante…since you couldn't finish the job on your own; let's just say your reward was slightly cut."

Now he really didn't like what he was hearing. "What do you mean cut?!"

"She means that the reward money you were supposed to get was divided between us since we all partake in your little adventure." Trish explained. "Because of that, we all got twenty five percent each of your payout."

"Twenty five percent!?" Somehow fate screwed him over again. Still twenty five wasn't too bad.

"Oh and you still owe me money for my services Dante." And the hole continued to be deeper for him. "I'll just deduct from what's left of your payout."

Dante groaned in frustration. "You got to be kidding!"

He sat back down now knowing he had been royally screwed over. More so by Lady. "Wow Dante. You can't catch a break." And Patty had to throw in salt.

Suddenly the phone rang. Dante picked it up and answered. "Yeah what do you want? Yeah this is Devil May Cry." His body language suddenly changed. "Is that so? Well all right then." He hanged up.

Now everyone was raising eyebrows. "What the hell was that about?" Nero asked.

Suddenly Dante's troubles didn't bother him anymore. "A person with the password. Time for me to get to work." He grabbed his coat.

"Didn't you just get back from a major job?" Patty asked.

Morison chuckled. "You should know by now Patty that Dante has to take any job he can get if he ever wants to get out of debt.

Dante retrieved Ebony and Ivory as well as Rebellion. He walked past everyone. "Before you go Dante, can we at least join in on the fun?" Lady asked.

The devil hunter laughed. "Fine but I'm keeping the paycheck this time."

Everyone smiled at that. "That's fine. I already got I needed." Trish spoke.

Nero starched out his arms. "I got time to kill. Better not screw this one up Dante."

All of them approached the door. "Ha! You all better hope you won't slow me down."

Patty sighed. "Is it just me or does this kinda looks like the story is going to repeat itself?"

Dante chuckled. "You know the old saying. When one story ends, another one begins somewhere else." He kicked the door open and smiled. "Now let's rock."

The End.

A/N: Good god. It feels unreal that this story is finally finished and it only took me over two years. Ha! Seriously though I never expected it to be this long or this popular considering this is the only story in this crossover category. I would like to thank those who left great reviews (Not counting the guest ones that kept asking annoying questions I couldn't reply to.) those who favorited and followed the story. I am quite proud of this story and very glad it is done. With that said, see you all in the next story (No. Not a foreshadow of a sequel…maybe.)
