I can't believe that i've put up another story here after so long! Well, this story came about for the Temple of Kraden's Valentines Day contest, the challenge was to write a romantic story with 250 words or less. I enjoyed how the short word count challenged me to be brief and concise with my writing.

And having relapsed into shipping after viewing this image: art/Lighthouseshipping-Carry-me-351500545 I knew I had to do a Felix/Sheba based writing. And I'm sure my watchers will likely appreciate some Felix/Sheba. XD

Sunset has fallen on Izumo, and the village is celebrating the defeat of the serpent. Felix and Sheba are watching the festivities, too weary from battling the serpent to dance themselves.

"Everyone's so carefree now with the serpent gone." Sheba said.

"I'm happy for Susa and Kushinada myself." Felix replied.

"He's being called a Hero now, despite him telling everyone otherwise."

"We just fought the serpent. Susa risked his life to save Kushinda. He's the real hero." Felix said with a shake of his head.

"You know, by that definition you're a hero also." Sheba said with a sly smile.

"Really?" Felix asked, raising an eyebrow. "Why do you think that?"

"Because you stood up to the Proxians, dived after me when I fell from Venus, and swam with me on your back to Idejima. You risked your life to protect me, just like Susa."

"I never thought of it as heroic." Felix replied with a chuckle, "I saw it as doing what I needed to do, to save you."

"But to me, your actions made you a hero. Because of you I have my life, my freedom and friends I never dreamed I'd have."

"Sheba I..." Felix's reply was silenced by the gentle warmth of Sheba's lips as they touched his.

"Thank you Felix for being a hero... My hero." Sheba said shyly.

Felix looked at Sheba in surprise before he smiled warmly, wrapped an arm around her and spent the night watching the festivities with her.
