Title: Whats Money?

Prompt: Marshall trying to explain money to fi after she finds some coins.

Fi was adventuring in the underground with the hyoomans and Samson Strong when she found a few circular pieces of metal. She rubbed off all the dirt and inspected the little discs. There were some dudes faces on one side and some weird bird or buildings on the other. She slipped these into her pack to ask cake about later.

When she got home she showed Cake the small discs.

"Ooo what are those, sugar?" Fionna just shrugged.

"I was hoping you knew." Now it was Cakes turn to shrug. At that moment, Marshall Lee came swooping into their tree.

"What's up, losers." Fionna looked up, a smile on her face.

"Marshall Lee!" Fionna looked thoughtful for a second, "you're really old and stuff right?" The vampire frowned.

"Ouch, girly." She just waved his dismissal off.

"Do you know what these are?" She threw the coins at him and he caught them easily. He looked at them and then back up at her like she was dumb or something.

"This is money." He said like it was common knowledge. Fi nodded like she understood and caught them as he tossed them back.

"What's money?" Marshall had to laugh.

"You use it to buy things."

"Buy?"

"Purchase?" Her face was blank. Marsh scrubbed his hand over his face and up into his hair. "It's like trading, except instead of giving stuff you give money. It's how humans did things." Her eyes sparkled at the word human and she clutched the money to her chest like it was precious gems.

"That's awesome."
