Edward returned shortly after Alice and Rose left. He looked worried as he pulled me into a hug.

"Edward what's wrong?"I ask pulling back slightly to cup his face.

He hesitated before saying, " Bella we have been getting reports that the wolves have been coming closer to the castle and watching it like they are waiting for something."

I knew that there were shape shifters in the village but no one shared anything about who they were or what they do for some reason. I asked my dad once but he wouldn't tell me.

"Why don't the wolves like vampires?" I ask him.

He frowned even more. "They think we are taking innocent girls and corrupting them. They think we will lose control and kill our mates."

Edward led me over to the couch and pulled me into his lap.

"What do you think they are waiting for?" I ask him snuggling closer to his chest.

Edward wrapped his arms around me tightly while burrowing his face into my hair. He'd been doing that a lot lately. I had asked him about it and he said it was because he liked how I smelled.

I turned so I was sitting sideways on his lap, stretching my legs out on the couch. Me turning made Edward pull his face out of my hair.

"Edward?" I say cupping his cheek with my hand prompting answer from him.

He sighed and leaned into my hand gently kissing it. "We think that they want one of the girls we brought back from the Mate Festival, but don't worry because if that's what they want they aren't getting her."

Edward clearly wanted to change the subject so I let him.

"How are your lessons going?" He asked.

I smiled. "They are going well. I'll be done soon."

Edward smiled. He started to run his hand up and down the side of my body sending sparks through my body.

"You should sleep." He said, but didn't move away.

I moaned dropping my head onto his shoulder. "Do I have to?" I whined into his neck.

I could hear him chuckle into my hair.

"Yes. You do." He said picking me up and carrying me to bed.

I got out of his arms and went to change. When I came back he was already laying in bed waiting for me.

I crawled in next to him and cuddled against his cool body. He turned towards me and started to kiss me softly.

The kiss sent sparks through my body. I wrapped my arms tightly around his neck weaving my fingers into his hair. He wrapped his arms around my waist pulling me so I was straddling his stomach as he rolled onto his back.

Edward licked my bottom lip and I opened my mouth to let his tongue in. I moaned softly at his taste. Edward groaned as he rubbed his hands over my thighs . My nightgown had ridden up to just below my butt.

Edward slowly pulled away after pecking my lips gently.

That night I fell asleep to him stroking my hair and wondering who the wolves were after.
