A warm summer day, there were two little kids playing with each other at the park. One was a little girl that had pink hair. The other was a boy with red hair.

"Catch me if you can Gaara!"

"Hey! You know i'm not good at games like this!"

"You snooze you lose!Shanarro!"

After all the fun and playing they both sat on a bench and ate popsicles together.

"Ne, Sakura?"

"Yes?"

"Will you promise me something?"

"Sure!"

"Promise me that...you'll stay by my side."

"K-K-Kono baka! I-I-I'd always stay by your side no matter what I do! Yeah!"

"That's good to hear."

~End of Flashback~

"Hey Gaara. Wake the hell up!"

"Hey, Sakura."

"Yes?"

"Do you know why I asked you that promise that day?"

"No..I don't...i've always wondered why though."

"Well, I wanted you to stay by my side because...you're like the pink flower that stands up in my deserted world."

"H-H-Hey! D-D-Don't say embarassing stuff like that!"

"Hmph, what's wrong with me saying stuff like this? I'm in love with you."

A bright pink blush appears on Sakura's face.

"Hey...if you're gonna say that you love me then...say it more romantically."

"Fine."

Gaara grabs his childhood friend by the waist and holds her up to his face, while he pulls out a ring from his pocket.

"I, Sabaku no Gaara, am in love with you,Sakura Haruno. Will you marry me?"

Sakura's eyes widened and her blush turned into a deep shade of red; kind of like Kushina Uzumakis pulled out of her willpower to whisper to Gaara.

"Yes,Shanarro!"

Probably...not my best because it's a little OOC but..I honestly like this story...and this couple..kind of because like...Gaara is kind of like Sasuke...but a better version of him..and I despise NaruHina and SasuSaku...for my reasons xD So yeah...I hope you enjoy it xD
