CHAPTER TWO

Luke spotted the Tie fighter behind him and soared away from the Death Star surface, the Tie fighter close behind. "I can't shake him!"

Luke banked down closer to the surface of the Death Star again, the Imperial Tie fighter closing in on him in hot pursuit.

"I'm on him, Luke!" Wedge called over the headset, "Hold on!" Wedge dove across the horizon toward Luke and the Tie fighter, moving his X-wing in rapidly.

Swerving away from the Tie fighter, Luke watched as it closed in. "Blast it! Wedge where are you!"

At that precise moment, it happened. One of the other Tie fighters broke away from the others, rocketing towards Luke - Firing at the Tie fighter pursuing him! Luke stared in shock as the Tie fight exploded, "What?!"

'You should be more careful, Luke...'

Luke blinked in surprise, calling on the force he answered the stranger, 'Who are are you? And how do you know who I am?'

'Don't ask questions, I'll explain everything later.' The voice told him. 'For now, just concentrate on the fight and I'll cover you.'

Luke's instincts were mixed... A part of him told him to trust this guy, but another part warned him to be wary of him at the same time. 'Why should I trust you?'

'I just saved your life, Luke...' His mystery saviour reminded him. '...If I wanted you dead, all I had to do was sit back and watch you get blown to bits.'

That didn't exactly inspire trust, frowning, Luke bit his lip. 'Who are you?'

'This isn't the time, or the place for this.'

Luke sighed and shook his head, 'Can you at least tell me your name?'

'My name is, Karon...' Luke felt a flicker of annoyance, '... Now stop worrying about me, and focus on what you're doing!'

His Father had been right. Karon smiled wryly as the Death Star exploded, it hadn't looked like the rebels stood a chance; but as his Father had said, Luke was very strong with the Force – the Rebellion didn't know how lucky they were.

He flew his 'stolen' tie-fighter alongside Luke's fighter, waving briefly, Karon grinned, 'Well done, Luke.'

Luke glanced at him, his elated expression, turning to a frown. 'Are you going to tell me who you are now?'

'When we land,' Karon shrugged, smiling at his Brother. 'If I told you now, you might crash from the shock.'

'Fine,' Luke frowned at him, reluctantly agreeing to the suggestion. "But the moment we land_"

"I'll tell you everything you want to know, I promise." Karon afreed, cutting Luke off. He smiled, following as his Brother flew back towards the rebel base; this was where it was going to be complicated.

xx

Luke smiled, as he hugged Leia and Han as he grinned, laughing with his friends. He couldn't believe they had actually won!

The tie-fighter glided into the hanger, landing smoothly beside his own fighter and he frowned, pulling away from them.

Leia looked at him in confusion, "Luke?"

Luke smiled at Han and Leia. "Go on ahead," He said shrugging. "I'll see you later." Right now, he needed answers.

By the time he reached the tie-fighter, the pilot was jumping to the ground. Taking a deep breath, Luke gave him a small smile. "Thank you for saving me."

"You're welcome."

Folding his arms, Luke frowned at his mysterious saviour. "You said you'd tell me who you are."

"I did, didn't I?" Karon replied, chuckling as he removed his helmet.

As soon as he saw him properly, Luke could see the resemblance. His face was very similar to his own, he had the same blue eyes and his blonde hair was only slightly darker. Then Luke remembered something Obi-wan had told him when he had started training with him. How his Mother had given birth to another son, who had been taken only hours later.

His eyes widened in shock and Luke shook his head, "You can't be-"

"It's true, Luke..." Karon said sensing his feelings as he stepped closer, "... My name is Karon Skywalker." He smiled, placing a hand on Luke's shoulder. "I'm your brother."

A/N: Ok, so I know it's short, but I couldn't resist leaving it at a cliffhanger :) hope you all like it, I'm sorry for the long wait.
