After the buss accident, Barney had been in the Hospital before finally being released. He had to be wheeled around in a wheelchair, which he thought was pathetic, especially in front of his friends. It wasn't as if he had a choice, though.

Barney had been scheduled to go to a rehabilitation clinic three times a week, and it started only a week after he was released from the hospital.

-Day One-

Barney struggled to get into sweatpants and a t-shirt, after refusing help from Marshall. God, he didn't want to have Marshall help him change! If anything, it could have been Lily or Robin He sighed as he tried to grab the t-shirt and pull it over his head, but failed miserably, dropping the shirt out of his reach. His eyes welled up with tears, he was pathetic. "Robin.." he called quietly, the woman who had been waiting outside walked in a rushed to him when she saw he was crying. Robin had seen him fake before but never.. genuinely cry.

"What's wrong Barney?" she asked, cupping his face.

"I'm pathetic," he mumbled, his bottom lip trembling as he stared at her. "I can't do anything dammit!" he wailed. Ted poked his head in and Robin turned, glaring at him to go away, which he did very quickly.

"No you're not," Robin soothed, turning back to him. "You've broken nearly every bone in your body, it's okay to need help, Barney," she breathed. Barney simply nodded. "Now come on," she said, reaching down to grab the shirt and toss it away. He watched her.

"What are you doing..?" Barney asked. Robin smiled and held up a black shirt with a fake tie on it. Barney burst into a child-like grin.
"Did you..?"

"Yep! Got it just for you," she said.

Barney's tears were those of joy now. "T-Thank you," he breathed, letting Robin pull the shirt over his head.

"Ready?" she asked.

"Nope~" he sang out, cracking a grin.
