Hey guys, Murayama Tsuru here. Because of my dissatisfaction with the way I ended the chapter (only sort of), I decided to come back for an epilogue. So, here are some scenes after everything is done with Gamajin. They are all 426 words (don't ask, it's random to me too). That took some editing on my part too, because each scene kept getting longer and longer. And, after the third one I decided that I wasn't going to keep adding to the previous scenes so I stuck with whatever number the longest (so far) was, hey, I explained my reasoning anyway. Well, hope you guys enjoy ^_^

Disclaimer: I don't own Gintama; it's the property of Sorachi Hideaki-Sensei. Nor do I own NCIS; it belongs to CBS.

Once Gibbs and Fornell were gone Gin sighed, "Damn, I need a nap! All that fighting and arguing really put me through the wringer!" And, just to prove how tired he was, Gin let out a very large yawn.

"But Gin-san," Shinpachi said, a look of slight sympathy on his face, '"we have work to do. You can't rest right now, we have customers coming in soon."

"What?" Gin gasped, mouth open in shock, "You mean Gibbs didn't do my work for me? Then what was the point of mea leaving in the first place? I did some of his work for him after all!"

Shinpachi, looking more than a little annoyed at this point, asked, "What was the point? You and those other guys just saved both our shows from being taken over by a weird toad guy! And you're asking what the point was?"

"Whoa, Shinpachi," Gin said, sweatdropping (he'd hardly ever seen Shinpachi this angry after all), "calm down! You know that I don't mean anything by what I said, don't you? You've known me for long enough to tell when I'm joking, can't you?"

Shinpachi either didn't hear what Gin said or he ignored the silly silver-haired Samurai because the glasses boy kept talking as if Gin had never said anything, "And another thing, why the hell would you think that Gibbs-san could do your job for you? You're the only one who can head the Yorozuya! Even if you are a lazy, jump reading, lazy guy and I'm the one who does most of the real work around here!"

As Shinpachi finished his rant, Gin watched in silence (even though he wanted to mention that Shinpachi had called him lazy twice), a small smile forming on his lips. After watching Shinpachi for a moment more, tears angry starting to form in the glasses boy's eyes, Gin said, smile growing larger, "C'mere, I missed you too Shinpachi, Kagura."

The other two Yorozuya members then ran over to Gin, both practically in tears now, and basically tackled Gin in their happiness that he had finally returned. Patting both Kagura and Shinpachi on their heads, Gin looked up to see if Tsumi wanted in on the huggy action as well.

Gin couldn't help the chuckle that escaped his lips at what he saw, though. Mikazuki Tsumi was gone and there was no trace that she had ever been there in the first place. Gin shook his head then, wondering how anyone could deal with that girl with all the disappearing and reappearing she did.

Outside the Kiheitai/Harusame ship, Takasugi, looking particularly murderous yanked his arm out of Abuto's grasp (how Abuto did this and carried his umbrella at the same time, I know not), and growled menacingly, "Who the hell do you think you are, holding onto me the whole way here? I wasn't going to go back; I have no more business with Gintoki for the moment."

"Damn," Abuto said with an eye roll at how angry Takasugi seemed, "you really are one scary son of a bitch, you know that? Maybe you weren't going to go back to the Yorozuya and you have no further business with Sakata for the moment. But I certainly couldn't tell what you wanted to do. From what it seemed to me, you were about ready to start your destruction of Edo in that very room. And as much as I like destruction, the rime for it was not then. Really, though, if you didn't want him to know about your reading Naruto, then you shouldn't have engaged Sakata in any arguments in the first place."

Takasugi gave Abuto one last glare and then turned his eye away, mumbling quietly enough that Abuto had to strain his ears to hear what was being said, "It's easy to say not to engage in argument with Gintoki, but actually doing it is much, much harder. And, the next thing I know you'll be spouting some nonsense about how life is a quiz or something stupid like that. I heard from your boss that you tend to do that…"

Abuto raised an eyebrow, but before he could say anything else, a loud scream reverberated around the area, making both Takasugi and Abuto jump out of their skins (though you'd never be able to tell that they were surprised as they both kept it very well hidden).

When Abuto saw who it was that had just screamed so loudly, he pulled a very annoyed face; it was that screechy blond Kiheitai member. She was now running at full speed towards them, the other two main Kiheitai members close behind.

Abuto, sidestepping the screechy blond just in time for her to barrel into Takasugi while screaming something unintelligible, sighed in immense relief that he dodged that one. After starting his walk back to the ship, Abuto turned back once more to see Takasugi looking both uncomfortable and at hime at the same time. Abuto sighed, turning back to the ship, now he would get to go back to his own psychopathic boss just in time for more paperwork.

Abuto looked up after hearing a knock at his door. It had been hours since Kamui had assigned him more paperwork (courtesy of the admiral not doing any while Abuto was gone, who knew so much could build up in four days), and was hoping that it was someone calling him to dinner.

"Come in," Abuto called out lazily, quite ready to knock off filling out paperwork for the day.

But, instead of a call to dinner, a familiar female voice said, "Abuto-san, can I join you for a while?"

Blinking owlishly, Abuto responded, "Well, are you being polite? Even if I say no, aren't you just going to come in anyways?"

There was a chuckle from outside the door, and then it opened revealing Mikazuki Tsumi. There was a pause and then she said, "I didn't know you wore glasses."

Abuto sighed, and taking said glasses off, said, "Yeah, I do. But only when I'm doing paperwork. It really sucks being old y'know."

Tsumi chuckled again. "You're not even that old Abuto-san. Last time I checked, being in your 30s isn't so old."

"Hey," Abuto said with a slight frown, "Don't go tellin' people my age. I wanted it to be a secret."

Shaking her head, Tsumi said, "You're so weird Abuto-san."

The two then lapsed into a slightly awkward silence. Abuto figuring that the conversation had come to an end was about to put his glasses on again and finish his paperwork but then he saw an expectant look on Tsumi's face so he let out another small sigh and asked, "Hey, are you still mad at me? If you are, I'm sorry. But, the thing is, my job is pretty important to me, even if Kamui is a slave driver. So, when he tells me to do something, that's an order from my boss and I can't just ignore it. But, that being said, I'm still sorry if you're mad at me.

Tsumi, looking shocked at what Abuto said (not having expected any sort of apology at all) shook her head, to indicate that she wasn't mad at Abuto anymore. But before she could say anything confirming that, another voice called out, "Oi, Abuto, it's time for dinner."

At that, Abuto stood up and dropped his glasses onto his desk. As he passed Tsumi, he ruffled her hair saying, "C'mon, I'm sure the admiral would love to know about how you turned me into a woman." Tsumi, looking slightly annoyed at Abuto's gesture, smoothed her hair back down and started following after him.

When Gibbs and Fornell poofed back into Gibbs's basement, Tony looked up from a magazine he was reading and grinned, "Hey, boss, you're back already."

Gibbs said, eyebrows arched, "And how long did you think it would take Dinozzo?"

Looking defensive, Tony responded, "I just wasn't sure how long those Gintama guys would keep you. From watching their show, they seem to talk a lot. And you talk so little, I was just worried that you wouldn't be able to say you had to get back to DC and solve crimes is all."

Gibbs rolled his eyes, walked over to Tony and slapped him upside the head, "Well, you were wrong."

Rubbing his head, Tony complained, "Yeah, I can see that. Why'd you have to slap me, boss?"

"Payback." Gibbs responded with a small smile

The look in Tony's eyes asked 'payback for what?' but, Tony just shrugged, "Well, now that you're back I can go tell McGee and Ziva that they no longer need to worry about you two making it back on time. So, I'll see you later boss. Don't forget, you'll be heading to Iraq soon."

Gibbs raised another eyebrow, about to reprimand Tony (with another head-slap) about spoiling the plot of their show again, but before he could, Tony was up the stairs and out of Gibbs's house in a flash (most likely fearing more head-slaps).

Once the door slammed shut, signaling Tony's departure, Fornell sighed, "Ah, I'm glad that's over with. Now we can get back to our regularly scheduled programming of mystery and shooting. If we get any more violent then we'll turn into Hawaii Five-0."

"Tobias," Gibbs questioned, eyebrow still raised, "why're you making references to other shows?"

Fornell sighed again, pinching the bridge of his nose, "I have been in Gintama for way too long. You may not have noticed, but they make a lot of references to other comics. Especially to some show called Bleach. I asked what it was about once, because I was confused about the name, and they told me it was about hollows, soul reapers, and something called Zanpakuto. My confusion was not lifted."

Gibbs chuckled at that, "Well, that answers my question. So, what now?"

Fornell shrugged, "Well, guess I'm going to try and spend some time with my daughter before things go to hell for us. Wish me good luck."

"Oh Tobias," Gibbs sighed mockingly, "She's not so bad."

As Fornell began walking up the stairs he turned to Gibbs with a small smile on his lips and said, "I know."

A few weeks later, after Gamajin tried to take over the world, but before the season started up again (hey, just had to say that so no one accuses me of not being in time line, even though I'm totally not in time line at all ^-^), Gibbs, Ziva, and McGee were in their cubicles waiting on Abby's verdict on some evidence for a case they were currently working (really specific aren't I? And I'm also moving further and further away from NCIS cannon).

Suddenly, the elevator dinged open and Tony came in with a huge smile on his face, yelling, "Boss, guess what?"

Gibbs sighed, "Tony, you know I hate guessing."

"I know that," Tony said with a sigh, "I just had to say it. But look, I just got the latest volume of Gintama and—"

"Since when do you collect Gintama volumes?" McGee interrupted

"That's not the point, McDork," Tony growled, "But, boss, you're on the cover!"

"Really?" McGee asked, temporarily forgetting Tony's crack about his name, "Let me see." McGee and Ziva then got up from their seats to crowd around Tony and see the cover.

"Wow boss," McGee said, "you really are on the cover! That Sorachi guy drew you pretty well too. Come see."

Gibbs raised an eyebrow, "We don't have time for that now. We have a case to solve, remember?"

"Way to ruin the mood boss. We were all excited about this too!" Tony pouted

Gibbs's eyebrow rose higher and that prompted Tony to say, "Ok boss, I got it. I'll just leave the volume here so you can look at it later. Once we've solved the case." Gibbs nodded at that and Tony put the volume onto Gibbs's desk then went back to his own.

Later, once the murderer had been arrested, Gibbs was packing up for the day when he remembered the Gintama volume. Gibbs picked up the comic and inspected the cover, smiling slightly. Sorachi had done a pretty good job of drawing him, looking stern and drinking coffee.

On a whim, Gibbs decided to flip through to see how his adventures in Edo had been portrayed. He turned to the inside cover and noticed the author's note (in Japanese). Underneath it was a sticky note with a translation in Abby's handwriting (explaining where Tony got the copy).

Gibbs read through the translation and smiled. The NCIS team leader then closed the book and put it under his arm, went to the elevator to go home for the night, happy about how the day ended.

And that, dear readers is the end! I was going to put more in, 'cuz I had two more scenes in mind between myself and Sorachi-Sensei and Yuri, Yuki, and Tsumi. But then I decided that I liked this ending so I'm gonna stick with it (and I started writing the scene with me and Sorachi-Sensei and ideas weren't flowing). And yes, this epilogue really will be the ending. I, most likely will not write any more! SO, yeah, really, see you in other stories and new ones too, eventually. As always reviews are greatly appreciated as I love to know what you guys think. So, yeah, see ya!
