A/N: Well here it is, the last update for this story. I hope you all have loved reading it as much as I have loved to write it. Please enjoy!

"James! Lily! Come on, it's time to go!" Remus yells from outside the compartment of the train.

"Now they have got to know what we were doing in here," I practically hiss at James.

"Oh come on, Flower," he says lightly as he fixes his shirt and I pull my hair up into a ponytail. "They know what we've been doing for 2 months, they caught us half naked in the heads dorm 3 weeks ago."

"Well still, it's sort of different when I can HEAR SIRIUS MAKING SEXUAL INNUENDOS OUTSIDE THE DOOR!" I yell accusingly and throw open the door and shock Sirius back away from the door.

I cross my arms and glare daggers at him. I can see the unmistakable fear in his eyes.

"Lily, come on, we don't have time to kill Sirius right now, we can kill him after this meeting Dumbledore's invited us to," Marlene says, grabbing my arm and pulling me out of the compartment and off the train. She loops her arm through my left and soon Dorcas loops her arm through my right and we're walking and laughing as James, Sirius, and Remus trail behind us.

Out of nowhere, Dorcas yells "Wait, Wait!" and stops us all in our tracks.

"What, Dor?" Remus asks.

"We have to get a picture before we leave!" she says animatedly and pulls out her camera. "Here! Get together in front of the train!"

Not entirely sure what we're doing, we gather together in front of the train. Dorcas finds a random stranger to take it and joins us.

James squeezes my hand beside me and I look up at him.

His smile brings me a sense of hope and joy. In his smile, I can see the future. I see happiness, even with the impending danger of the war.

Overcome with feeling, I blurt out, "I love you."

He smiles broadly and pulls me into a kiss just as the camera snaps a picture.

June 7, 1998

Harry Potter stares at the picture for a long time, rereading the caption over and over.

"Lily ruins our last group picture by telling James she loves him at the worst possible time (even though it was bloody adorable)- June 23, 1978"

Harry watches his mother tell his father she loves him, and each time makes him feel sadder inside. He never expected to find this while going through Sirius' old things.

"Harry?"

Harry's head snaps up at the sound of his girlfriend's voice.

"Are you alright?" Ginny asks with furrowed brows and a concerned expression.

Each time since the battle that Harry's seen her, she grows more beautiful in his eyes. He doesn't think he could've gotten any luckier. Her goodness overwhelms him. The way she takes care of him even when she needs to take care of herself. Her selflessness to help her mother, and even her stubbornness when she cries at night. She's exactly what he needs, and he knows that.

Just seeing her face makes part of the sadness go away.

"I… Found a picture here," he says softly and she comes over and sits beside him on the arm of the chair. He hands her the picture and watches for her reaction.

She smiles warmly. "Harry, that's so sweet," she says and looks over at him.

"Yeah…" he trails off. "I just wish I had more insight into what they were like together." Harry fiddles with his hands a bit and looks away, not all too comfortable with the feeling of vulnerability.

"Well you've found one picture in here," she says, turning his head softly back to him. "Who's to say you won't find more?"

Harry slowly developed a smile and drew her close to him and kissed her.

"You are the most fantastic girl, Ginevra Molly Weasley, do you know that?" he asked softly.

"Yes of course I know that," she whispers with a smile and soft laugh before standing up and walking swiftly out the door. Harry's eyes followed her until she left.

Harry looked once more upon the gloriously happy faces of his parents before putting the picture back in the box in which he found it. He carefully slid the box underneath Sirius' old bed where he found it.

He had a whole day to discover more secrets tomorrow.
