Chapter 46:

"Say what!?", Elyon questioned surprised by what Will just said. "Are you serious!?"

"Yep.", Angelo said. "Do it! Bring it on, fellas!"

"You're bluffing.", Riddle said. "You know that we have plenty of robots to fight you. Your best bet is to accept our challenge."

"No. We'd rather face your robots.", Will said.

"So bring the noise!", Angelo said.

"Stop you, two!", Selece said.

"Please do.", Elyon pleaded. "I think we'll have a better chance with their challenge."

"Trust us on this, Elyon.", Will said as she placed her hands on her friend's shoulders. "We can win this."

"Well I say we should accept the challenge.", Caleb said.

"Me too.", Irma said.

"No one is asking you two.", Taranee said. "So butt out!", she said before turning to Elyon. "We can beat their robots, Elyon. I know we can."

"Are you sure?", Elyon asked the Fire Guardian.

"Yes.", Taranee said. "I'm sure."

"Okay.", Elyon said. "You all haven't let my world down yet. Let's do it."

"You all are fools!", Hollens said. "You will be crushed by our forces!", he said when a beeping sound came from his robot. "Go ahead!"

"Sir! We have the dish set up and running!", came a voice from the robot. "We're heading back through the fold to send another wave of robots."

"Good!", Hollens said. "Then let the invasion continue!", he said as he and Riddle's robots took to the sky with the rocket boots their robots had and flew back to their robot horses.

Suddenly, the robots that were still active began to start back up. Seeing this the Meridian and Yollen soldiers snapped into action ready to fight.

"Whatever idea you Guardians have, I suggest you get to it.", Raythor said.

"King Terren! Are your ship shielded from EMPs?", Angelo asked.

"Of course.", Terren said.

"Good!", Angelo said as he turned to his uncle. "Uncle John! I need all the EMP blasters! Now!"

"The blasters!? Why?", John questioned.

"You'll see.", Will said as they were handed all four blasters. "We're going to need your help on this too.", she said to Hay Lin and Selece.

"What are you planning?", Elyon questioned as the robots were up and running.

"First we power up the blasters.", Will said as she and Angelo powered them up.

"Then we keep going!", Angelo said as he and Will kept charging the blaster up.

"Oh! Now I get it.", John said. "You're going to turn them into EMP bombs!"

"And the EMP wave will shut down every robot.", Taranee said. "Not to mention any and all of their machines at their base camp."

"We just have to get the blaster close to the base camp.", Angelo said.

"And that's where me and Hay Lin come in.", Selece figured.

"We can teleport the blalsters there and BOOM!", Hay Lin said. "No more robots!"

"And then some.", Taranee said.

Soon Angelo and Will were each holding two overloaded EMP blasters that were ready to blow. Seeing this, Hay Lin and Selece teleported them to the base camp. Once there, they flew to the middle of the camp and dropped the blasters. Once they hit the ground, the blasters exploded unleashing a powerful EMP wave that shut down everything there. And it didn't stop there! The wave not only went and hit all the machines on the battlefield frying their systems, but it went through the fold Hollens and Riddle had set up. To bad that the fold led to their factory which meant that everything there that had a computer was fried.

"I can't believe that worked!", Angelo said as he, Will, Selece, and Hay Lin landed amoung the shutdown robots.

"Taranee strikes again.", Will said as she looked at the fold. "I wonder?", Will questioned as she walked up to the fold.

Will then held up the Heart of Kandrakar and was able to close the fold.

"That's takes care of that?", Will questioned. "Now for Hollens and Riddle!"

"We know where they are!", Hay Lin said as she and Selece led the way to the trailer of the semi-truck.

Once their, they opened the trailer which showed a shut down computer and Hollens and Riddle getting out of their chairs they used to control their robot knights.

"Wow!", Will said as they looked at the two old men. "These guys were behind the robots invasion?"

"Not to mention putting Irma and Caleb under mind-control.", Hay Lin said.

"And what if we were?", Hollens questioned.

"Then you have a lot to answer for.", Selece said.

"Don't think so!", Riddle said as he and Hollens tried to put them under their mind-control only for Will and Angelo to gve them a shock knocking them out.

"Oh, but I do think so.", Angelo said.

Some time later...

"Oh! My head.", Hollens said as he came to. "What happened?"

"You tell me, Eddy."

Hollens sat up to see an upset Cassidy looking at him. He then looked around and saw that he was sitting in a bed in a white room.

"Where am I?", Hollens said.

"Kandrakar.", Cassidy said. "We brought you and Riddle here after Will and Angelo zapped you."

"I see.", Hollens said. "So where is Riddle?"

"In another room.", Cassidy said.

"So what's going to happen to us?", Hollens asked.

"That's up to the Oracle and his council.", Cassidy said.

"Like I fear him.", Hollens said with a scoff. "He's the reason all of this happened!"

"All of this because of what happened to me, huh?", Cassidy questioned. "You could be spending time with your family right now, Eddy. But you choose to do all of this instead."

"I love my family.", Hollens said. "But you were my first love, Cassidy. We could of had a wonderful life together. But we'll never know that now. And Kandrakar is to blame for that!"

"So you go and try to take over Metamoor?", Cassidy questioned. "What did they ever do to you?"

"Nothing.", Hollens said. "It was the first world we found with the fold crystal we discovered."

"I see.", Cassidy said. "Well it's over now. I don't know what Kandrakar will do with you and Riddle but I know it won't be bad."

"You think this is over?", Hollens questioned with a grin. "Sylla, Riddle, and I aren't the only one who know about this. There's the rest of the FBI who we've been reporting to for the last few weeks."

"What!?", Cassidy questioned.

"That's right.", Hollens said. "They have information on all our work. Even if you take out our factory, they'll just start up a new one somewhere else. They'll just keep coming until they get what they want."

"Which is what?", Cassidy asked.

"A world that Earth can set colonies on.", Hollens said.

"And you used them to try and get revenge on Kandrakar.", Cassidy figured. "You say you care about me yet you're willing to fight me."

"No! I would of kept you out of it all.", Hollens said. "I care about you to much to see you get hurt."

"And my friends?", Cassidy questioned.

"They would of had a choice.", Hollens said. "Either give up or fall at my hand."

"I see.", Cassidy said as she got up from her seat.

"Where are you going?", Hollens asked.

"To be alone.", Cassidy said. "Cause right now, I can't be around you."

"Is that so?", Hollens questioned.

"You're not the Eddy I used to know.", Cassidy sadly said as she walked towards the door to the room.

"Sadness and greif can change a man.", Hollens said stopping Cassidy as she reached for the door.

With a sad sigh, Cassidy left the room leaving Hollens alone. In another room, sat Riddle who had no idea where he was. It was then a door opened getting his attention. And to his surprise it was Cornelia and Micheal who walked into the room. They took a seat next to the bed Riddle was siting on and before they could say anything...

"I take it that I'm in Kandrakar.", Riddle said as he looked arouind the room.

"Yeah, you are.", Micheal said. "Now we want to ask you something."

"And that is?", Riddle asked.

"Did you make Caleb and Irma do what they did to me?", Cornelia asked.

"Do you mean whipping you?", Riddle asked getting a nod from Cornelia. "You poor child. I do apologize for what they did, but Hollens and I didn't make them do what they didn't want to do."

"I don't get it.", Micheal said. "You and Hollens had them under your control."

"True.", Riddle said. "But with your two friends, they really wanted to see you feel pain from what happened to the one you call Will. Even when they learned that you were under mind-control when you attacked your friend, they still wanted you to hurt."

"I see.", Cornelia said.

"If you knew this, then why did you have them go ahead with what they wanted to do?", Micheal questioned.

"My boy, all Hollens and I did was bring out their most inner desire.", Riddle explained. "And what they desired most was to make your beloved suffer."

Cornelia said nothing as she got up and left the room. Micheal soon followed leaving Riddle alone.

"The truth hurts.", Riddle said as he sat in the room waiting for whatever was to come.

Some time later, Hollens and Riddle were brought before the Oracle and his council of Alfor, Tibor, Halinor, and Endarno. Also there were the Guardians who wanted to be there and to see what the Oracle would do with them.

"Before I decided what to do with you, I want to hear what you have to say.", the Oracle said.

"I already said what I had to say.", Hollens said. "I only apologize to the girl for what she had to go through.", he said while looking at Cornelia.

"What of you, Riddle?", Endarno asked.

"I'm an old man who wishes to help my world find new worlds to explore and hopefully settle on.", Riddle said. "And even though he won't admit it, Hollens feels the same way."

"I see.", the Oracle said.

"If I may, Oracle.", Tibor said. "Maybe it is time for Earth to learn about the Known Worlds. If only a little at a time."

"What of the Guardians?", Halinor questioned. "I do not think they wish to be exposed yet."

"Yeah. I kind of like living a normal life when we're not fighting evil.", Hay Lin said.

"Earth's leaders do not need to know who the Guardians are.", Alfor said. "But they do need to know about them and what they do."

"I see where you are going with this.", Halinor said.

"As do I.", Endarno said. "This may be a way to solve things without more fighting."

"I agree.", the Oracle said before turing his attention to Riddle and Hollens. "We shall aid you in finding a world to explore and settle on so long as Earth's leaders are willing to respect the world and the wildlife on it."

"Meaning what exactly?", Riddle asked.

"That you don't nearly wipe out any of the animals.", Halinor said. "We will show you which kind are safe to eat as well as the plants. Not to mention which animals ones can be of help to you in making your homes there."

"Agreed.", Riddle said. "I do not wish for us to make the same mistakes we've made on Earth. Granted we are trying to clean up our act there as well."

"Very well.", the Oracle said.

"We wish to speak with Earth's leaders in private before we do anything.", Endarno said to Riddle.

"I think that can be arranged.", Riddle said.

"And what of you?", Tibor asked Hollens. "Do you still harbor anger towards us?"

"And what will you do if I were to say yes?", Hollens asked.

"Nothing.", the Oracle said. "For you are not the first to dislike Kandrakar.", he said to which Hollens let out a huff. "I am sorry for the pain you've been through but you were able to move on with your life were you not. You found love again and have a family. Should you not focus on them and not on revenge?"

"Please, Eddy.", Cassidy pleaded. "For me. Move on and spend your days with your family.", she said with a small smile.

Hollens looked at Cassidy's pleading face and saw that she wanted him to be happy. So with a tiring sigh he looked at her and...

"For you, Cassidy, I'll do this.", Hollens said to which Cassidy gave him a hug.

"Thank you.", she said to which Hollens returned the hug.

Afterwards, Endarno returned Riddle and Hollens back to Earth leaving the others to settle a few things.

"And now with that matter is settled, we have other things to talk about.", Halinor said.

"Namely what to do about you two.", Selece said to Caleb and Irma.

"Come on guys!", Irma said. "I mean we were under mind-control for crying out loud! Can't you cut us some slack?"

"You didn't with Cornelia.", Micheal said.

"So what are you going to do?", Caleb asked. "Strip us of our powers?"

"That's one way to go.", Will said. "But what would it solve? You'd still be the way you are now."

"Will's right.", Cassidy said. "The way I see it, you two need a taste of what Cornelia has been through."

"That does sound fair.", Taranee said.

"What do you mean a taste?", Caleb questioned.

"Well for starters, how about not being Guardians for a while.", Hay Lin suggested. "Which was for a while."

"What!?", Irma questioned. "But... That's not fair!"

"Really?", Alchemy questioned. "After all the talk you and Caleb did about having Cornelia stripped of her powers."

"How about we let Cornelia decide their fate.", the Oracle suggested.

"Hmmmm... I can work with that.", Will said. "All in favor?"

"AYE!", all the Guardians said except for Caleb and Irma.

"Well this just turned bad.", Irma said.

"Well, Cornelia.", Halinor said. "What do you wish for to be done with Caleb and Irma?"

"What do I wish?", Cornelia asked. "Would it matter to either of them what I say?", she questioned surprising her friends.

"Cornelia?", Micheal questioned.

"They both already let me know how they feel about me.", Cornelia said. "And from what Riddle told me, they've wanted to hurt me for a long time. Isn't that right?", she asked Caleb and Irma who said nothing. "Answer me!", she demanded.

"Fine!", Caleb aid as he looked at Cornelia. "Yes! I wanted you to feel the same pain you put Will through that night only twice as bad. And I got what I wanted. So if you want to have me stripped of my powers, then go ahead and do so. Have your little payback!"

"That's enough, Caleb!", Will said. "You and Irma have been a serious pain to the group! I don't know what Cornelia wants to do but whatever it is, I'll back her up 100%!"

"I know what I want.", Cornelia said.

"And what is it you want?", Oracle asked.

"I want...

Months later...

Will's POV

Well it's been a few months and things are going okay. Endarno and Halinor met with Earth's leaders and made arrangements for explorers to set up on a new world. So far things are going well. As for Hollens, Riddle, and Sylla, they haven't revealed our identities to the FBI or anybody else. I feel sorry for Hollens. His love for Cassidy almost drove him nuts. I hope he can find peace. As for Meridian, things are going well there. Elyon allowed Riddle to bring some troops there to clean up the robots. And on a plus side, Riddle vowed not to reveal anything abot her, Drake, Aldarn, and Caleb to his bosses or the world leaders.

That's the last thing we need.

Speaking of Elyon and Drake, things are going well between them. Their relationship has grown stronger. He even joined the baseball team. And man does he have a wicked swing! Now as for Cassidy and Aldarn, those two are doing well too. Cassidy even helped him get his license just like Elyon did for Drake. Then there's Selece and Matt. Now those two are something else. They work well together in the band. Selece even help Matt write a few songs. I've never seen Selece so happy being with Matt. I truly wish the best for them. As for me and Angelo, we're still together and happy. I guess you can say that the two of us getting together was a long time coming. Granted my mom has made it clear about us being in my room together for to long when ever he comes over to see me. So we mostly hang out in the living room. On a plus side, that Caleb hsn't tried to get inbetween me and Angelo. Thank goodness for that! I guess he finally sees that I'm happy with Angelo. Plus, I do believe he and Irma have grown close. Now really sure.

Now as for Cornelia and Micheal, those two are really happy together. And after all she's been through, Conry deserves it. I'm still surprised at what she decided about Caleb and Irma. No I take that back. I'm impressed at what she did. She actually wanted them to keep their powers. I know that Irma and Caleb were surprised after how they treated her. They've somewhat changed how they feel about Cornelia, but it's a work in progress. A LOT of work. Which is why we're all here at the park having a picnic in hopes that things will get better between us all.

Normal POV

After eating their food and getting some rest, Micheal pulled out his football to toss around with everyone. All but Will and Cornelia got up to throw the ball around. As they watched the others throw the ball around, Will looked over at Cornelia who noticed her looking at her.

"What?", Cornelia asked with a grin.

"Just thinking about you not wanting Irma and Caleb's powers taken from them.", Will said. "I mean none of us would have said anything about it."

"Maybe, but if I had done that, what would it of solved?", Cornelia questioned. "Had I done that, I would of been no better than they were when they wanted me gone."

"Maybe.", Will said. "But I think they could go a month or two without their powers. Just so they know what it's like."

"Maybe.", Cornelia said. "But I think things are going okay. I hope."

"That's all we can do.", Will said with a smile. "Hope."

Cornelia returned the smile knowing that Will was right. For hope can be a powerful thing in their line of work. Hope for a better tomorrow. Hope for a better world. Hope for friendships to mend and get stronger. But when all was said and done, one thing was for sure. Something that couldn't be taken away from them.

Once a Guardian, always a Guardian.

A/N: Well folks, that it! The story is done. Things are going well for them all and their secret is safe. Will there be a sequel? I have no idea. Maybe there will be, maybe there won't be. I have other stories to do and work on. So for now, later readers!
