Hey. Um. This story is going, again, to be re-re-re-re-re-rewritten, just due to the fact that I - we - can't stand some of the grammar and things we have left in the previous chapters. Now, I know that chapters shouldn't be just author's notes, so I will give a preview of how the new and improved version. Much more scientific and stuff. Why? Because we have realized, after years of changing this story, that we have to add facts in here somewhere.
Not only that, but jumping dimensions? Science. Has to be there. Has to be.
Anyway, I hope you guys don't hate us, I - we - love those who have stuck through with this bumpy road and every change, small to big. Now, for the preview...
Eliza's POV:
I grunted in response and glanced at Itachi who was staring at me. I smiled at him, and then looked back to Tobi.
Both were Uchihas.
Murderers.
Theives.
Assassins.
Good people gone bad.
Terribly dangerous.
And yet, here they were gathered in Nichole's living room, not questioning her, not going against her wishes or demands. There was something off about the way that they listened to her. Even Hidan didn't protest when she told him to sit down and shut up, minus a few selective cuss words.
All in all, the process was strange.
Wrong.
There was something wrong with this. Very wrong. Even if they were afraid of this new world, they had used their powers - their chakra. They could do damage, but they didn't. They could, I realized as my eyes narrowed in thought, take over this world. Just a world full of ordinary, powerless, stupid people. But they didn't. Something wasn't right. Well, unless I was just thinking like a stupid person myself, and was missing something, like what they talked about when Nichole or I wasn't around.
Maybe they are planning to rule my world.
I looked at Tobi again, and then at the rest of them. Aliens. That's what they are. So far the one thing that I knew was that they could shape shift. Even if they acted and looked like the Akatsuki, just seeing them here made me think otherwise. They didn't feel like the Akatsuki.
Suddenly sick, I stood up. Nichole stopped talking and the room went silent, all of them staring at me. I scowled at that unexpected and weird reaction from them, and made my way out of the living room. I put a hand on my temple, a sudden weight of dread falling on my shoulders.
I am so stupid.
"Eliza? Wait! Where are you going?" Nichole yelled, stepping towards me.
I ignored her hurt look. "Home. I don't feel to good."
"Hey! Come back!"
Her yelling was useless. I was already out the front door, down the drive and opening the my car door. I stepped in and slammed the door shut, not at all surprised when the passenger door opened and someone slid into the other side.
"Why'd you leave?"
I shrugged, my eyes flicking around nervously, and forced myself to remain calm. "I think I've figured something out."
"'Something out?'"
"I can't be too sure, but I need to be able to confirm something."
"And you've assumed I'd help you."
I turned to look at Tobi and smiled. "I know you'll help me. C'mon, this'll be fun." Not even caring that he might have heard the underlining venom and sarcasm in my words, I shoved the key in the ignition and stared up the car.

Tobi sat up as well, noticing my shocked expression as I thought about it. "What if it was something like you processing my DNA? Think about it, you guys are built on survival, cast into another world, your bodies are going to try and use what they can to survive, probably mutate to some extent." I took another breath, realizing how far fetched that sounded. "No." I wrinkled my nose and shook my head, taking my bun out. "No, that is a stupid thought." I fell back on the bed, more frustrated than ever. "'Creating a pattern where there is none.'" I quoted mindlessly.
Tobi decided to speak up, "Survival? Why would we... mutate." I blinked, I had completely forgotten he was there. I cleared my throat and sat up, much slower than last time.
"Well..." I began, still wondering how I could had forgotten he was in my room, on my bed. A male. I hummed at the dirty thoughts that filled my mind and I closed my eyes, pinching my nose. "I heard about Hidan changing to look like Kenny from Nichole. I just thought, you know, if you could change your appearance, why would changing species be much harder?"
He gestured for me to go on. However, my mind wasn't as focused as it had been and I still couldn't take him seriously with that damn mask on, so I stuttered and kept trying to regain my thought train; the black eye less holes were his eyes should be just stared at me and I stared at them with squinted eyes.
"Can you take that mask off?" I looked away from the mask, finding that I was now confused, the only thing I could focus on was blood and my favorite switchblade in my nightstand drawer. "I can't take anything seriously with that thing making me feel like I'm going to be stabbed."
He took it off and my amusement drained from me. His face was scarred - heavily. I tilted my head, he reminded me of Spawn. I kind of wanted to touch his face, but I knew he wouldn't like that. The manga and anime seemed kind when it came to how his scars looked, however, this world took his scars and enhanced them to the human and 3D version. He looked like he had been smashed by rocks. Not only that, but you could see the grafted skin much more clearly, not being as smooth as believed.
I sat there with a blank face for a total of two seconds before I cleared my throat and looked at the open doorway, "Good, now, where was I?"
"Mutation?"
"Ah, yes." I took in a deep breath and slid off my bed, "You know basic theories, right? You know, things like gravity or any laws of motion?" I looked at him, still sitting on the bed. I walked over to my door and closed it, leaning against it.
"Probably," He stated, "Enlighten me."
"Gravity is the force that pulls all matter together. The reason the moon moves around our planet. The reason our planet revolves around the sun. Throw an apple in the air, it will come down. Basically a law, or theory, of an attraction between all matter." I let my hand wave a bit to add emphasis to what I was saying, hoping he knew what gravity was.
"I know of it, yes."
I nodded, "Good. Then you must know the laws of motion; I don't want to go on about those because I am really wanting to educate you on those. I want to talk about the theory of evolution."
Authors: So, yeah. What do you guys think? To, eh, science-like and stuff? I - we - would like some comments on what you guys think and we will have a poll up as well starting the 23rd of this month. Thanks.
